How to get to Phuket

Phuket International Airport is the island’s primary gateway, situated at the north end. Whilst the airport serves a number of destinations throughout Europe and Asia, including seasonal services, those coming from further afield may need to make a connecting flight. There are frequent flights between Phuket International and Thailand’s busiest hub, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, making it an ideal option. Once you’ve landed at Phuket International there are numerous ways to get to your final destination. Public buses are the cheapest but slowest, taking around an hour to reach Phuket town center. Shared minibuses however are an inexpensive and considerably quicker alternative.
