The Palangi Bali Hotel is one of the friendliest I have stayed at, very good staff service and is well located opposite nice beaches. Lovely pool and patio area and all kept clean. Web pictures were probably taken when it was new, which it now is not, but for the rate paid it is good value. We visited directly from Perth Australia so Air Fare was cheap, would think twice before going to Bali from Europe.
"Beautiful hotel, but lacking key finishing touches"

The Centra Taum hotel is a beautiful hotel at first sight, but it is not yet completed and is lacking several very important finishing touches. For example, neither the doors or the balcony doors are completely sealed off when closed allowing a free flow of mosquitos into your room. In addition, i have stayed in several rooms at this hotel and the various tv channels only work in some rooms and the wifi only works in the rooms closest to the reception. A last negative remark is that there is plenty of staff, yet service is still lacking. Despite these remarks however, the hotel does offer value for money as it is located in central Seminyak, close to shops, great restaurants and the beach. However, the hotel lies quite far down an old backroad with several stray dogs roaming around so i would recommend getting a taxi at night time. All in all, i would recommend this hotel to travellers on a budget, as it is great value for money, and it is likely to only get better once the construction work finishes.
"Would go back."

Stayed for two nights whilst traveling back from 3 week trip through rural Indonesia so nice to get some comfort and luxury whilst doing some last minute sightseeing. Hotel is well kept and service is at a high standard. Having done alot of business travel I feel this hotel would be perfect for business travel but lacks personality to be a true vacation hotel. The pool is great and the restaurants were of a high standard. I did have an hour massage in the Spa on arrival which was not as good as you would hope from a hotel of this rating. Overall I would happily return to the hotel and would recommend to others.

This is a rather dated hotel but it is well located and good value for money. We only stayed 2 nights en route from the Gili Islands to the airport, which was fine, but would not want to have stayed much longer. Wi-fi connection was very unreliable.
