How to get to Dongguan

Both Guangzhou Airport and Shenzhen Airport are about an hour from Dongguan, with most visitors taking a shuttle bus or taxi from the terminal. You can only drive in China with a Chinese driving license, and although some expats arrange to take their test while living abroad, it’s usually much more convenient for business travelers and tourists to hire a driver for their airport transfer and trips. Dongguan Station has trains arriving from Hong Kong and across China, with shuttle buses to take you around the city. There are also plenty of bus services across China to the Dongguan Main Bus Station in Nancheng, with plenty of local buses to get you to your destination.
