Once we realised this really is only a short, safe walk to the city walls and we had passed some of the much pricier options within the walls, we knew for sure that this was a sound choice. Esther speaks very good English and her staff all have a little; they were all very friendly and helpful. We opted for a "superior suite" at very little additional cost. The high ceiling made the already decent sized room seem even larger, tastefully furnished in this older family house. Relaxed and generous breakfast with four choices, pool a bit too small for swimming but great for cooling off after hot hours around the city (which is probably what it is meant for!). Only one block from the beach and swimming area.

Dan-hotel is a big name but the service is not that much. Little swimmingpool, less relaxchairss on swimmingpool, the beach is full of sellers, the breakfast is nothing special. So, next time i try other one...

Great stay at Casa Sweety for 5 nights (we had originally booked for only 2). Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly, throughout our stay. Hotel is located just 10 mins walk from walled city of Cartagena, but in a lively area with plenty of bars & restaurants nearby. Breakfast was really filling each morning, and rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard. There's no hot water- but given the temperature in the area this wasn't a problem for us!

Lovely hotel- warm, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast always included fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice. There's a roof terrace which is perfect for watching the neighbourhood baseball match on a Sunday. Perfect location in the hip neighbourhood of Getsemani. Only minor drawback was a leaky shower which meant a wet bathroom floor.

Loved our stay here. Price was right at USD 100 for great room, comfy, reasonably quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. A bit art deco with a great upstairs lounge balcony area (slightly weird decor!). Cartagena is very hot so might be good to find a place with a pool which this hotel doesn't have but we still thought it was great.

Super location in a quietish part of walled Cartagena, but with plenty of restaurants etc. around. And within 10 mins walk of anywhere inside the walls. Fabulous open (to the elements...) patios inside this originally 15th Century building. We had the biggest room I have ever stayed in - 10 metres long. Only minor complaint was that the laundry took 2 days to do, even after reminders. We had good breakfasts, but did not eat there at other times. We stayed 6 days so we got a good feel for for the place.
