"loud and dirty"
Hotel was loud, my room was over the lobby, I could see and hear what was going on from the window, and anyone who looked up could see right into my room, so I had to keep curtains closed. Went to make coffee and there was a used coffee filter in coffee maker, went to turn on shower and the cleaning staff had turned shower head out, so entire bathroom […] including was soaked. "not family friendly...but impressive!"
Many drunk people running throughout the property with open containers...I was told that it is a party atmosphere and that is how it is there...how sad....I stayed with my family cause we had contractors doing work in our home...I was told a manager would call...one never did. "Great location"
Close to a couple night spots and was a blast for NYE. Parking was a little steep though - $18 dollars for 24 hrs or over

Condition of the hotel was excellent, except for the rooms, which seemed a little dated and are probably due for a renovation. They were however, extremely clean. The hotel is located close to a number of attractions and has easy access to downtown via public transport/walking. There are a number of restaurants nearby and a short drive away. The hotel […] was pet friendly, up to 50lbs, great for us, but the rooms leaked a considerable amount of sound from the doors, so I would hate to get stuck in a room next to a noisy dog. "Overall OK, But not shereton standards though"
First of all the location is very good. Walking distance to most of the restaurents. But they have to come up with a parking systems. You pay top dollar for a room and you have to pay $20 parking on top of that ? Common that is not nice. Also rooms needed some refurbishing. HOTEL STAFF WAS VERY NICE ( FRONT DESK) I arrive around 9.00pm with my family. […] we were greeted nicely by the front desk. But there was no bell boy to take our bags to the room. We had about 8 bags since we had the baby. Then I asked may i borrow the carrige. Then the security said it has been chained to the pole like somebody is gonna steel it. So we had to take 2 bags at a time several times back and forth to our room. SO I was not happy about it. "Best Steeler Stay Ever"
Arrived in town later than expected for the 1pm game. Hotel check-in was fast and friendly. I was directed to the parking lot and right next to it was the Clipper that takes you right up to the stadium!!! The room was huge and room service was quick. Definately am going back.
"1st trip to Heinz Field"
Great location to stay if you are going to a Steelers game, for sure! The ferry to the game was right next to the hotel and there is wide selection of great restaurants/bars! The hotel room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and there is a Starbucks!

"Trains all through the night!"
Yes, our room had a view of the river and the ferries but it also was right against the railroad tracks. Trains ran all night. Room was very warm even with the loud air conditioner on that woke us up every time it cycled. Either the trains or the air continually woke us up. Not worth the pumped-up price that I paid because of Steelers homegame. Paid […] half that amount in September and got a thirty dollar credit that we used for breakfast in the morning. "Great for a weekend getaway - Sheraton Station Sq."
On the recommendation of a very good friend who went to college in Pittsburgh, stayed here at the Sheraton Station Square. This place was everything I needed, close to downtown just a short walk across the river, and in the same complex as their nightlife center, Station Square. This place has great views of the city depending on which side of the hall […] you're on, if you're on the away side like I was, you still look up at Mt Washington, and the Duquesne Incline. Short drive to the Rivers Casino, or the ballparks on the North Shore. Also relatively close to Pitt, Duquesne, and Carnegie-Mellon Universities if you're scouting colleges. "The Sheraton Station Sqare in Pittsburgh"
This hotel is very convenient for Station Sqare, casino. Lot to do in walking distance. Little pricey. Overall nice place to stay.
"Sheraton at Station Square - Pittsburgh"
I cannot recommend this property. The room was in need of major refurbishment - wallpaper was peeling, paint was stained (even the ceiling), bathroom sink was cracked, and there was mold and rust around the fire suppression spriinkler head. Sheraton needs to inspect this property.

Hotel website advertises "recent" upgrades to their rooms. We found our room with outdated furnishings and decor. The tile surrounding the shower fixturers were cracked and left spaces between fixtures. We had to no heat until the following morning of check in and were never told there was a cost for parking, even in the hotel parking lot. "Sheraton station square Pittsburgh PA"
This was our 5th visit to the hotel. All our visits have been for various Dance Events that have been at the hotel. The hotel was fully booked the weekend of our stay (there were several conventions going on plus big Pittsburgh Steelers game) but the staff was still very attentive. We received our early morning room service on time and placed a to go […] order through room service, but that we wanted to pick up on our way out, and they called us when it was ready so we could pick it up. There are plenty of restaurants (Hard Rock Cafe, Houlihan's, Bar Louie, etc.) in walking distance. "PERFECT LOCATION to all MUST- SEE SIGHTS ;)"
GREAT HOTEL AND VERY HELPFUL AND FREINDLEY STAFF. WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN! PERFECT LOCATION TO ALL THE MUST SEE PLACES AND ALSO A SHUTTLE TO TAKE YOU AND PICK YOU UP. WE WERE THERE 4 NIGHTS AND WISH I COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER.

"paying for parking"
Enjoyed the stay but paying for parking after paying to stay at your hotel is ridiculous !!!!! "Comfortable and great location"
The hotel was great, comfortable and located next to everything. Staff was great and super helpful and the beds were heavenly! Next time I visit Pitts i will remember my steelers t-shirt and stay at the Sheraton.

"Overbooked Hotel"
I had reserved this room 2 months in advance in order to host the pregame for my sister's Bachelorette night. When I arrived the hotel was crowded and the staff was flustered. They then explained that they no longer have any of the 2 double bed rooms which I had reserved 2 months prior. They gave us a roll away bed to try to solve the issue, however […] it made the room very crowded. "Checking in"
I was a little dissapointed with check-in. Checked in at 4 pm and was told there were no king size beds and was told i would have to have 2 double beds. told them that was not going to work, they said i would have to come back later and take my chances for a king room. Also the front staff was very unprofessional and not pollite.

The Sheraton Station Square is a mediocre hotel in a great location. If it wasn't for the location I would not recommend it.

"Dirty Napkins, cups"
I know it seems like a small complain, but the napkins by the coffee maker were clearly dirty, and clearly used by someone else, as were the drinking glasses. It just makes one wonder what else was glanced over and not cleaned very well. Beds were comfortable and the valet and bellhop staff were super cool.

This hotel is in major need of repairs, outdated and run down. Stains in carpets everywhere you look, wallpaper and curtains also have stains. Looks as if nothing has been done to this hotel since the early 80's. stayed 3 nights, had 4 people in our party, yet everyday they only gave us 3 bath towels. even after notifying the front desk the first day, they didn't give us the additional towel needed... parking is terrible, $20.00 a day even if your a hotel guest. if you plan to come and go you must get your ticket punched at the front desk... the bathroom didn't […] have an exhaust fan... overpriced, and not so good hotel breakfast, I recommend any of the other local places that serve breakfast, there are multiple in very short walking distance with cheaper/better food... "overpriced & overrated"
this place is living on past reputation and location alone. Paper cups in rooms at higher than average per night rate.. Really? Bed linens smelled like smoke! I've had nicer towels at the YMCA. This place was gorgeous 20 years ago and apparently they've done nothing to it since. Never again!

"Fabulous choice"
I only stayed here for one night and I was more than pleased with the staff and location. I had my dog with me and they were great with her as well. The location is perfect for anyone who enjoys a good walk into the city and looks for a good time at night as there are bars just up the street. "DID NOT STAY HERE - HOTEL WAS OVERBOOKED!"
Upon arrival 6/4/11 was informed the hotel was overbooked and they put us in another Sheraton property 20 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh! Totally dissatisfied since I made my reservation with hotels.com several months ago and never received notification the hotel was overbooked. I now have to wait for my refund from hotels.com since I was required […] to pay the full amount upon booking. Sheraton did not even compensate us by discounting the room rate at the other property, nor even give us a free breakfast the next day. I have used hotels.com in the past without any problems, I refuse to use your service in the future. I will book directly with the hotel and call them prior to my arrival to confirm the reservation.
