I booked this hotel using hotels.com, as a layover as out flight landed at 5am, and didn’t fly out until 5pm the next day. Phoned the hotel direct after booking to see if I could arrange an early check in which they did free of charge, I actually checked in at 10am! This is great place to stay, really liked it from the moment we pulled up. There is […] only valet parking (chargeable) but they have spaces to pull up into and unload your bags, the valet’s are brilliant they don’t rush up and try and take the car immediately. Reception is a little unusual there is no counter only a table with four PC’s that the staff (who all wear grey) use. Check in was a breeze particularly considering the time! I booked a suite which was well proportioned and cleverly laid out. Air-con was quiet which is unusual for a US hotel, room was clean, modern, and well appointed. The hotel is about 2.7 miles from main Hollywood drag, we walked it and got a taxi back. Plenty of places to eat in the area if you don’t fancy the hotel restaurant, it’s reasonably priced as well considering the area. I look forward to returning to this hotel. Читати далі

I choose this hotel for some family looking to be close to the action on Sunset. The hotel seemed overpriced compared to the others in the area which offer a higher quality of amenities.

Centralized to where everything is... Great room, sweet gym, awesome restaurant, cool people... just overall a really good choice for a hotel. Don't be cheap, stay here!

Stayed for 4nights staff the most helpful in any hotel we have stayed at, from check in to check out nothing to much from directions to tickets, all used ipads so fast check in and out . Had filming of new show in hotel lobby & driveway again no problem for staff. Will be back for more.

Upgraded to a king suite, it was huge. only fault i could find, drinks on 2 of the 4 night stay not replaced in bar fridge.

Easy check in and friendly service. Valet service was efficient and friendly people as well. On our first night we were given a room next to the elevator and that was awful everytime the elevator went up and down it sounded like a plane roaring over our heads. We requested our room to be changed and they were quick to accomodate us and after that the […] room was much better. However the walls are very thin and in the last 2 nights we had some very noisy people checked into the room next to us and they kept us awake until 1am! The beds are very comfy. But it would have been nice to have more counter space and hooks in the bathroom. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning. It would have been nice if they could offer a different pastry every morning instead of the same one every day. Free snacks and drinks in the room was also nice. The orange juice in the fridge tasted expired. I hope they circulate the stock. The towels were not replaced every day. And the toiletries such as lotion was not replaced either. Beautiful views, right in the heart of West Hollywood. We just loved it. The rooms were nice and cozy the bed was like being on a cloud.

Cool place to stay, conveniently near everything

Andaz is perfectly located on Sunset blvd with an outstanding view over Los Angeles. The staff is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is modern and clean, comfortable and good! the only flaw is the lack of sound proof in between two rooms and if you have noisy neighbors it seems that they are living with you. great place to stay staff is well mannored and are accomdating no complains.

The Andaz Hotel was a great hotel with excellent service and beautiful views. The location was a good area but far from any main tourist attractions. In LA you have to hire a car. However I would highly recommend this hotel.

I thought the Andaz was a really nice hotel, with good extras like free soft drinks/ snacks and free local calls. Only problem was a demonstration by workers taking place outside hotel!

Great hotel! Beautiful pool! The free mini bar was a nice touch, not often you get anything for free Very spacious rooms and hotel is in a great central location!

We ended up leaving the same day that we checked in because the employees were picketing out front. The chanting was unbearable once we tried to go to sleep. Do yourself a favor and call ahead to make sure the strike is over before you book.

From the start, Andaz impressed me with their quick valet service, friendly staff, nice and modern decor, and great location. Andaz has a chic feel and a lot of history. Redone a few years ago, the vibe is great, staff is helpful and rooms are nice. A sunset strip veiw room, with the sitting area facing the strip is worth upgrading to. Non-alcoholic beverges are free, and although I do not mind paying for anything, it is a nice touch, and I do not know of any other hotels […] that offer that.. Great location on the strip. What an unusual but lovely experience as we arrived and were greeted by our personal concierge, offered beverages and told that all our in-room snacks and non-alcoholic beverages were complimentary. Stayed at the Andaz Hotel for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. Very friendly and helpful staff the entire stay. Clean rooms and clean hotel

This is an excellent funky LA hotel with great staff in a superb location on the Sunset strip. It has a fantastically cool history - Google Hollywood Hyatt! - and has been very cleverly reinvented and remodelled. Small criticisms would be that the pool area on the roof is pretty small so finding a spot sometimes is difficult - but the views from the […] roof are stunning. I love staying at this hotel on the Strip where Led Zeppelin, Jim Morrison and so many other touring rock stars partied and debauched while hanging out in LA. The small roof top pool area has a great view, although it can be crowded at times. Our stay at the Andaz was incredible! We were blown away by the level of service, the complimentary inclusions & the standard of our room & hotel facilities. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough & would definitely stay here again. Amazing!!!

Cool hotel with interesting history great rooftop pool and funky vibe makes it worth the stay rooms are minimalist but comfortable

The staff was, extremely, courteous and helpful. The hotel, itself, was very nice and the location, on Sunset Blvd, was perfect.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The lobby is super swanky and inviting, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although it was too chilly for us to take a dip, the pool area was lovely and offered some amazing views of LA. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Walter, the door man, front desk clerk, concierge, bell man, and PERSONAL hotel host, greeted us at the front doors, guided us to 2 leather comfy chairs, and grabbed us a drink!! He absolutely explained everything about the Andaz that we needed to know INCLUDING encouraging us to use the "living room" area as if it was our home away from home! Considering […] I am in LA every 2 weeks on business, this was music to my ears.. Our view was spectacular. The restaurant service & food was AMAZING! The free beverage bar in my new "living room" was convenient and perfect for our morning latte AND our happy hour glass of Cabernet! ;-) we walked NEXT DOOR to my favorite sushi restaurant Katana and finished up w a night cap NEXT DOOR at Saddle Ranch! Dark, understaffed and over priced

Great hotel in great location - very close to some of Hollywood's famous musical clubs and landmarks and a stone's throw from some great bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. Only down side is that they changed the name from the Hyatt, aka "the Riot" due to all the rock 'n roll tv-out-the-window-style antics that went down there in […] the past. The parking is advertised as $28 per day as of today. I believe when I first booked the hotel it was $18 per day. When I arrived I was told it was $32 per day which is outrageous. The decor was simple but perhaps too simple and bland. We could hear people walking around but it wasn't too disturbing. This hotel is pretty nice, but I think a bit overpriced - but so it seems most LA hotels seem to be that way. My stay at the Westin in Long Beach was much more comfortable, but then again - Long Beach is far from the Sunset Strip. One thing that annoyed me when we first arrived was the parking. Parking was I think about $28 or so per night and was […] the same price if Valet or Self Parking. Of course we chose Valet and I do admit that they did a good enough job retreiving the car. And again - this is Los Angeles - the World Capital of Valet Parking!!! Check in process was nice but also a bit awkward. Hotel staff were dressed in regular clothing that made entire stay difficult when trying to get service or information. The glass of wine at check in was quite nice, but when I asked one of the guests where the ice machine was located she had to tell me that she didn't work at the hotel and treated the whole episode like I was hitting on her. The idea of plain dressed staff would have been great if I was single and hitting on the woman but when I needed some ice it became a bit frustrating (Who do I ask about hotel info? Where is the Concierge?). In a way this idea does fit in well with the Sunset Strip night club scene and the originality that each hotel and bar possesses. I do recommend this hotel for the experience. It is nice and the staff are nice and helpful when you can identify them. But, if you are planning to stay in LA for more than 2-3 nights, try to find another hotel in the area to compare it to. Читати далі

Nice Hotel. Located next to The Comedy Club in clean neighborhood. Close to Beverly Hills & Universal Studios. Nice Treat to include Mini Bar & snacks to the price of the room. Also Continental Breakfast in Lobby.

The Andaz is a great spot. With it's rooftop pool overlooking the city and the Hollywood hills, guests feel chic in the little cabanas. The cocktail service and general service around the pool area could've been better - someone roaming and not just a bartender. The entire space could be larger too...many guests couldn't find a seat. The location […] makes it easy to get to the Glendale area and to Beverly Hills, and even the Santa Monica beaches are not too far away. The food at the French restaurant was great and the atmosphere was cool. It was sad to see it so empty on the weekends. It could use more promotion. The included soft drinks and snacks, coffee and croissants are a great benefit to staying at the hotel. Awesome rooftop pool with great view, plus the free water, organic drinks and snacks in the mini-bar were a nice touch (good croissant rolls, fruit and coffee/tea are also free in the morning). Ultra-modern, very nice hotel, helpful staff, great bar & restaurant downstairs too.
