"Very Helpful Staff"
Our first night in town, we went out and I got painful blisters on my feet. Unfortunately, we had a formal event to go to the next night which required me to wear the heels that caused me blisters. I hadn't packed any bandaids and asked the front desk if they had some. They had to go hunting for the bandaids in different locations, and eventually gave […] me a handful, even though I only needed a couple. They were very willing to go find the bandaids for me, even though they could have said "we're out, but there's a 7-11 next door." Great service, great hotel. Will book again. Читати далі

we enjoyed our stay, the staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was located so we could walk wherever we neeed to go. We parked our car in garage and left it there until we went home. My only complaint would be that parking should have been one flat rate instead of by the day as hotel room is pricy enough.

Great pool and work out center. Our only problem was the sofa couch for our kids was so broken that we had to get them roll away beds instead. Great location, great view.

Great location. Can walk to almost anything or take the free hotel shuttle. The rooms are spacious & clean. The staff is wonderful everyone from the front desk to housekeeping went out of their way to help us.

Went to Pittsburgh for a game at PNC Park and the hotel could not be more convenient. Less than a mile to the stadium, free subway is right across the street and takes you practically to the home plate gate at PNC Park. Hotel was very clean, very friendly staff, and the hotel bar is very nice. $5 for a domestic beer is a little high, but a lot better […] than the $8 I paid at the game. Very nice bar though. Hotel staff was so friendly! Nick, Brandon and Joe were helpful with sight seeing, resturants and just my overall stay!! Only downfall no shuttle to and from the airport, with the hotel being downtown it would be a nice option.

This Hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice and I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is going to see a Penguins game. The new arena is only about a 5 minute walk from the Doubletree hotel.

I was shocked to have to pay $42 for parking for a two night stay. But I basically had no choice. Also, the sink was clogged and there was a used coffee pod in the trash when we checked in. Otherwise, it was very clean and comfortable.

"Nice hotel in heart. Beware on holidays/events"
Hotel is nice. People and service were great. Location is good. The only two problems were the parking situation feels like a scam and the dance/singing party that happened at 3-4am. The consol energy center is walking distance. Overall a positive experience. We love Pittsburg.

Nice hotel-great location. One of the reasons we selected was because they advertise complimentary shuttle service within a 3 mile radius. We did not rent a car and were counting on that shuttle. Forget it! Instead of running two shuttles on a busy weekend, they only had one running and the wait was painfully long. We were late both Friday and Saturday […] evening for dinner because of the shuttle debacle, and a few times during the day, just gave up and walked or tried to hail a cab. "Very nice and CHEAP"
Good price for downtown pittsburgh. The hotel was nicer then I expected for the price we paid. We will be staying there anytime we visit the area. I recommend it.
Hotel was very nice and clean. Our room was next to the elevators. Our bed and bathroom was against the wall and you could hear the elevator moving up and down. The room isn't very insulated. When someone dropped something upstairs at 5:00 am and was flushing the toliet it was loud and woke my husband and I up.
"Great service, a little off the beaten path"
The staff service was incredibly helpful without being "in your face." Rooms were very nice, though not super duper elegant. The towels were actually soft and big unlike most hotels I have stayed at. Good restaurant at fairly reasonable prices. Not as central as one would expect for a downtown hotel IMO- its in the triangle but just barely.
The rooms were old. The room service took 1.5 hours and vending machines don't take dollar bills.

"Conveniet for Hockey Games!"
Nice, super clean hotel. Just steps away from Consol Energy Center. Secure parking (although you still pay $20 above and beyond the room price). After the game, the casino shuttle stopped to take us to Three Rivers. Had to take a taxi back since it was after midnight, but it was only about $10. "Excellent Staff and Service"
Stayed at the DoubleTree for a overnight business trip. The room was spacious, clean and had plenty of electrical outlets so I wasn't climbing behind dressers to try to plug in my charger(s) for my assorted electronics. Toilet needed a little "jiggle" after flushing but that tended to be the only issue. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful […] while not being overbearing or "in your face". Only minor drawback - not the hotel's fault - was the Occupy Pittsburgh tent camp across the street from the hotel but even this wasn't more than a minor inconvenience. Читати далі
Hotel was great for what we needed, walking distance to our show and Amtrack station. Hotel has a shuttle to go other places, and also close to the subway.

"nice but front desk rude"
Parking was easy and greeted with cookies upon arrival. We book the weekend getaway package such included 20$ valet parking and breakfast for two. However when we got there front desk was not going to honor the parking or the breakfast. After getting management involved and bickering, they reluctantly honored it. The price was 50 dollars more than just […] reserving the room so clearly I wouldn't just pay it for nothing, something (parking and breakfast) would be included. The manager even stated " I'm going to have to get ahold of hotels.com because we don't offer anything like that". Although clearly my receipt reflected the price difference which included parking and breakfast. Why frustrate me on my minivaca like that? Anyways, it worked out and the rest was good. "Great Location - Great Service"
stayed here for a weekend in Pittsburgh. Close to Market Square - plenty of theaters and restaurants. Nice fitness center too. Only downside was the $20 charge for parking and the fact that breakfast was not included in the room rate.

"A very luxurious feel for a great price"
The hotel was very top notch. It had great employers that were very friendly and able to answer any questions. The hotel rooms were very spacious, neat, clean, and extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was prime and the surroundings were very aesthetically beautiful. "Nice Place"
This is a very nice hotel & the staff was great. The only down side is that the "Occupy Pittsburgh" was camped across the street & were a little noisy on Saturday night. This has no bearing on the hotel at all. The location was good & everyone was very gracious. Will definately stay again!
"Won't go back anytime soon"
Basic items were missing and we had to keep calling to get them delivered Careline was a joke. The person was rude and unaccomodating. Room service was awful. Front desk was great!

"Near Architectural delights, but not comfort"
Small beds, stale smell in halls and rooms. Stamps not offered by front desk. Super friendly concierge - immediately provided us with maps of the city when we arrived. Brueggers bagel place and Dunkin Donuts right around the corner from the hotel. Walking distance to all of downtown. Near the H.H. Richardson Courthouse, which was a delight.

"Terrific shuttle service"
the hotel provided us with free shuttle service to Duquesne university and given that it was cold and raining, the service was fantastic.
"Doubletree - downtown Pittsburgh"
The hotel was within walking distance of the Consol Energy Center, which was very convenient. I also enjoyed the valet parking. The room was nice and clean. I would stay there again.

We had a suite for 2 nights and it was a great corner room. It was also in walking distance of the Consol Energy Center where we went for a concert.

Great l ocation, Shuttle service around town is top notch. It runs between 7am and 1030pm. only downside is no airport pick up but there are other options that are easily accessible. Overall great place to stay while in Pittsburgh.

Very nice hotel with good service but slow elevators. Staff very helpful. Traffic was pretty bottled up near hotel but construction was a cause. great city and had a good time. would stay there again.
"Poor Service"
- I had an online seminar to attend so internet was important. - Got to room 432 and couldn't get a signal. - Called the care line and they said "we'll have a look, try again later tonight". - Called front desk and said I really need internet so they moved me to room 1905. - Got to the new room and I could connect but the signal was 0.57 MBps. WAY too […] slow for a streaming seminar. - At this point I figured that I would just try and find a quiet spot in the lobby until the care line (front desk) called me to ask I could connect and I told them that it still wasn't working. - Then the guy on the phone told me that the technicians had checked the entire hotel and the internet was working perfectly fine and said "well then there's something wrong with your computer" - I knew he was completely lying to me because I had a friendly chat with the technicians (who were very friendly) in the hall who were working on the port and told me that the port was down on the 4th floor and they were trying to fix the port on 19. - I challenged him on the lie and he said "that's what AT&T tells us to say". - I use my computer for work everyday and have stayed in hotels around the world, I know that there is nothing wrong with my computer and it just drove me crazy that this guy from the front desk was blaming my machine for the problems. - I hate being lied to and certainly don't appreciate how rude the entire front desk staff was to me and my wife.
