it's a luxurious hotel. Very clean, posh looking ambience. Treadmills, pool, foosball tables etc. Breakfast is standard and the bfast area is bit crowded. Rooms are decently spacious. Bathroom is posh and big. Internet works amazingly fast, even in the evenings.

Have never stayed at a hotel with friendlier employees. They made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was lovely and the breakfast delicious.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The room was clean, there were plenty of clean towels (although they were kind of small). The bed was comfortable. My husband was ok with the pillows, but I woke up every morning with a bit of a crick in my neck, he must have gotten the good pillow. The whirlpool tub was great! The hotel and overall experience was OK -I chose the Regent because the pictures online looked nice and of course for the pool and jacuzzi and other recreations offered but I did not use any of the amenities due to the fact that every time I went check out the jacuzzi or other areas they were over run with kids and people and the pool area looks ALOT […] bigger & nicer in the pictures than in real life and I just thought for the rate I was paying I should have payed an extra 20-40 bucks a night and stayed somewhere nicer also when I checked in the room I was sent to initially had not been cleaned yet and the staff was very apologetic but did not offer me any complimentary anything and yeah ther breakfast was hot but not good -eggs were powder mix eggs sausage was starngly pale grey in color and hashbrowns well-I didnt get any and they looked like they were the best offering but if ur not down there early enough there's no replenishing of food that has run out if u want to get any hashbrowns or pre-cooked belgain waffle u better be ther by 8:30 or 9am at the latest even tho breakfast is until 10am by 9am there was only two very overcooked grey links and powder eggs. I was not impressed at all with the "hot" breakfast and the use-ability of the amentities. Also, on my second day I was sleeping in my room and without even a knock someone came into my room -a hotel staff person came to check to see if the room was cleaned properly -which i get because of the earlier room cleaning issue I had upon checking in -and they were apologetic but I did not get offered a discount or anything and I really was kinda ticked off that I had picked that hotel because of the amentities but everytime I went to use the jacuzzi I didnt even want to get in because it was always too crowded and finally sunday envening I went to check & to see if I could use it my last night there but ther was this nasty soapy looking film and bubbly stuff in (not the normal bubbles from the oxygenated water -it Читати далі

Very nice hotel and very clean. Service was good. Breakfast was okay. Staff was friendly.

Needed a place to stay for our daughter's tour of UofM, so we were a total of three people. When I called for late arrival, I mentioned again that we would be three people. So imagine our surprise when there wasn't a blanket for the sleeper sofa-just a sheet. When I asked at the front desk, I was told that they had run out of blankets several hours […] ago. That means I wasn't the only one blanket-less. Shouldn't that have been,"I'm running to target and I'll be back with a blanket in 30 minutes."? I told the front desk woman that when I come to a hotel, the only thing I'm really after is a pillow and a blanket. No response. Cleaning was sub-par; there was a strange substance on my nightstand. The hotel staff were friendly. The rooms were clean. The Breakfast is not that great if you have any food allergies, but we are used to that and come prepared. Very nice layout for the hotel as every room has a nice courtyard view and you do not hear the noises from other rooms.

I stayed at this hotel because I had a conference at U of M and i was very pleased with everything about this hotel. I would definitely stay there again if i get the chance to.

Hotel staff was wonderfull! The did everything they could to accommadate us and helped in anyway they could. It is very difficult to travel with a child that has sever medical disabilities and is on life support equipment. The staff was very helpfull and supportive to our situation and assisted in anyway they could. We will stay here again.

Well put together hotel the staff was excellent and very helpful.

Dated decor and smelled of smoke (left over from the 1970s?). Beds were hard and sat low. Quality was more in line with an Econo Lodge or Days Inn than a "resort.." Some staff were pleasant, some were surly. It served our needs, but it was not a good value. I thought it would be a higher level of hotel based on prices I was originally quoted (I got […] a AAA discount). I booked our one-night stay at the Regent after reading the reviews and was definately not disappointed. The two queen room was clean and well-appointed. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There was a nice selection of toiletries provided. The room and the hotel was fresh and clean. The pool/hot tub area, which disappointingly closed […] at 10pm, was quite lovely with windows showing an outdoor gazebo and garden. After staying at hotels with breakfast provided, I don't expect much. There was a warming tray with scrambled eggs, sausage and cubed potatoes and then the basics - toast, muffins, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice. Had I been staying longer, I think this would've gotten old fast. The staff member servicing this area was courteous and kept the area well stocked and clean. We awoke to a light dusting of snow and as we were packing up our vehicle, the hotel staff came to assist cleaning off our car. Where else do they do that?!? So, my only areas that could use room for improvement would be to offer some nicer choices for breakfast. This would put the cherry on top of what is already a lovely hotel. New- nice room - good size Location was decent - near highway and about 3 miles from downtown Ann Arbor. "hot" breakfast was a bit disappointing.

This hotel is old and outdated, but the toilettries are upgraded and good quality. The front desk was very helpful in reccomending a restaurant (Palm Palace) that was very near the hotel, and trhe food was delicious.

we stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. however breakfast wasn't that great. Could have done without it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful...we checked out early morning in 0 degree weather and our car windows had been cleared of the frost!

Clean & convienent. Pool and Hot Tub in great shape. Kids loved the swim time in January! 2 tvs was great - one for young kids and one for dad to watch the game. Only 45 minutes from downtown Detroit to our weekend event.

I liked everything about this hotel. I will stay there again on my next trip to Ann Arbor.

Hotel is clean and well-kept, the room was clean, the staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is very convenient, but it was very quiet in spite of being right on the major road. My only quibbles were the breakfast (pretty basic, and no variety in what was offered from day to day) and the whirlpool (in spite of the low use when I was there, […] it felt as though the water really needed to be cleaned or changed). For a hotel in this price range The Regent is excellent. Very nice staff. Very Clean. Good size room. We stayed there a couple years ago before the renovations and liked it then. We like it even better now.

This was a really nice, affordable hotel close to downtown Ann Arbor, a very convenient location. The hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. The hotel was neat and clean, I would definitely go back!

Two issues, both resolved by great staff! First - after check-in and upon entering my room, I noticed a buzzing noise. I called front desk, a person was there in 2 minutes and we checked neighboring room but source not found. I was given a new room and the process took only a moment. Second - after check-out I noticed I was missing a small item that […] MAY have dropped from my bad in my room or somewhere in the hotel. I called the hotel and they gladly checked my room and called me back to claim it at the front desk. Both issues are unusual for my hotel stays and both were handled as desired. I had no issues at all, it was a nice clean quiet hotel that was easy to get to.

Hotel was OK. Expensive though for the unconfortable pillows and the shower curtain that smelled musty. Breakfast was nothing special.

We were dropping off our daughter to start her freshman year at University of Michigan and needed a hotel that was close by and that was reasonably priced. This hotel definitely fit our needs. Very clean and comfortable with a friendly and helpful front desk. We spent most of our time at U. Mich so didn't use the pool or try the breakfast food but the […] room was like new. After reading the reviews I decided to stay here. Great hotel, the staff was great, very close to anything you want, absolutely no complaints whatsoever! I would stay here again in a minute! The coffee in the morning in the hotel is from a local coffee house and it was very good coffee!

Loved this hotel. Found online through Hotels.com. The price was very reasonable. When we got there, we were very impressed. Apparently the entire property had been recently redone. It was fabulous. While I was at my conference for 2 days, my husband and son stayed at the hotel. Between the pool, hottub, pool table, checkers & shuffle board, they had plenty to do. The only drawback was the internet access. The wirless did not work in the part of the hotle where we stayed. They should have a wired internet access in all the rooms for backup when the wireless is not working.

I think we were all happy with the hotel in Ann Arbor. However the air conditioner was not working properly. Every 20 minutes or so it would make a loud noise and continue to do so for several minutes. This made sleeping hard.

I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL WHEN IT WAS THE COMFRT INN. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE MODELING UPGRADE. ITS QUIET AND LOCATED NEAR RESTAURANTS THAT ARE IN WITHIN WALKNG DISTANCE. AMBER MY HOUSE KEEPER MADE SURE MY STAY WAS A HAPPY ONE (two thumbs up for her). THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THE INTERNET WIRLESS INTERNET SERVICE. IT DID NOT WORK VERY WELL IN THE ROOM I […] WAS STAYING. THEY SHOULD HAVE A WIRED BACKUP CONNECTION IN THE ROOMS AS AN OPTION. MAINTENANCE REPORTED THAT THEY HAVE HAD COMPLAINTS IN THE PAST AND WILL BE WORKING ON IT. Читати далі

Nice location near exit about 45 from Detroit downtown or about 5 to Ann Arbor downtown. Also, by Target, food options, and Starbucks. Great pool/patio and garden outside. Nice landscaping every where. VERY tight quarters to get your food but good hot and cold breakfast options.
