Excellent service, always very friendly staff. The room is large, nice and clean. Its located right in the centre of the shopping area. The old city centre with all the landmarks is a good walk or a 10€ taxi drive away

Kempenski was a nice hotel but no buzz about the place don't have any complaints about staff or hotel but a little to expensive for us couldn't eat or drink there but lots of places around and close at hand

Overall very good Hotel, impeccable service from reception. Hard to get better location as opposite bus stop for airport and tour buses, shops and restaurants all around this area. We had a brilliant four days here.

Good location, nice common areas. Our room was not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, should be renovated. Some parts of the hotel all in all need renovation, I would classify it to 4 and from the room perspective to 3 star.

stayed in classic room on first floor which was quite small, base of bed was fraying at edges and furniture was old and tired. More like a three star hotel room

I was a little dissapointed in the quality of this hotel. The wall paper is peeling of the walls and the bedspreads need updating. The bed was not very comfortable, very hard. I would not consider this a 5 star hotel any more. I booked two single beds but was given a double joined together and told this is all they had unless I paid another $40 Euro […] a night to upgrade. We chose not too. If they did not have two singles I should not have been able to book it. The position of the hotel is fantastic, walking distance to restaurants, bars, and great shopping on Ku Damm Strasse! You can also get the hop on hop off bus on Ku Damm very close and the underground train station is also very close. The drapes were not good and did not block out the light at night. The room was clean and we did get a bottle of mineral water and some fruit as a welcome which was a nice touch. I would recommend staying here for the convenience and the ambience, but don't expect a modern 5 star hotel. Читати далі

We only stayed the one night but I can only recomend this hotel, the staff were exceptionally good and very caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. There were complimentry bottles of Scotch malt whisky delivered to the room an hour after we had arrived, further knocks on the door to ensure that everything was Ok, enough towels etc.etc. The pool […] was amazing as was the suana and steam room, we spent a very pleasurable 3 hours relaxing. Great location. Great bar downstairs. Great service...TV is completely outdated which is strange for this type of hotel.

4 star rating would be fair. Didn't go the extra mile, for example no offer to carry luggage and fridge bar not replenished . Our room on the first floor was next to room service facilities and very noisy throughout the night . If you go for new year be prepared to not be able to get into hotel restaurants as there is a large party in the downstairs […] foyer. The food in the grill was silver service and excellent. Great location! Great staff!! But in dire need of a makeover. Everything was great except condition of room. Carpet old. Furniture older. Beds uncomfortable. If those things can be overlooked then book it.

I with four others of my family stayed here and we all enjoyed the hotel, however, our stay was marred on the last evening when, on returning at 23.00 after dining at the sister hotel Adlon, we sat at chairs around a table near a cosy fire, for coffee and after dinner drinks. We were told the table was reserved for another guest, which I questioned […] as it is a public lounge. The duty manager, who I asked to see, said the person for whom it was reserved "Is the hotel's most important guest". I responded, that by definition, this made all other guests less important, whereas in my view all guests should be treated equally. We were refused service and left at 23.30, by which time the guest for whom the table was reserved had not arrived! I sent an email of complaint to the general manager who responded saying, "The guest in question had reserved the table for the whole evening". Not a satisfactory response. The rooms are small and older but very clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent and went overboard in trying to help. The location can't be beat. Close to shopping, restaurants, high end retail, and across the street from the very efficient Berlin underground train. The restaurant and amenities at the hotel are excellent also. We travel extensively […] and will definitely stay here on return visits to Berlin! Can't be beat. Unbeknownst to us, we were in Berlin during the Marathon. This is truly a 5 star hotel. It has everything a business travelers should expect in a high end hotel. It's a bit far from the tourist locations in Berlin, but conveniently located by public transportation (subway across the street) and taxis can be easily had right in front of the hotel. Love Staying the the Kempinski hotels. However We found there were limited things to do, especially when we have a teenage daughter. Facilities were ok, but no where as good as other Kepinski hotels. Staff were fab though!! Excellent ;location would be the biggest plus on this hotel.

I have booked 3 rooms but we did not get all the same rooms. 2 of them at 5th floor were very small and the 3rd at first was too big. I have expected to get all the same since we paid the same.

We got a 5 night reasonable deal but if I would have paid the full rack rate I would have been quite unhappy. It was not our first visit to Berlin and in the past, we stayed in 4* hotels that were much better overall and cost less. The Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin location is great for shopping and dining, it is very near to a U bahn station and bus […] stations. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Classic room is small but clean the beds were ok not more, in the bathroom the towels were thin the bathtub was high and not suitable for old people (for us it was ok). The cleaner forgot systematically to leave soaps, shampoo and body lotion. No free Wi-Fi!!! And the Wi-Fi price per day or hour is unreasonable. The TV was very old, not LCD or LED. Room was quite dated. Close to subway and restaurants. As a tourist, I would rather stay in East Berlin.

This was a brilliant - a truly 5 star hotel - at a very reasonable price. The rooms, facilities, the pool and the pool bar were superb, but the hotel staff were the icng on the cake - just wonderful! On top of this, Berlins trasnport system starts just across the road and everywhere is cheaply and easily accessible. Pleasant hotel. Staff excellent in reception, swimming pool and continental breakfast area. Only one member of staff poor (in adjacent bar, coffee shop). Located well. Away from tourist sights but easy travel both on U and S Bahn.

The Hotel Kempinski was overall a very pleasant experience. It does seem that the night staff, does not know what the day staff does. In the evening when checking for a taxi for our ride to the airport, we were told there would be taxis there. In the more, we were told they would have to call one for us. In the evening, asked Jesus to book an additional […] night for us in the future. We informed us the hotel was "basically" full...so many important people coming. When we said we didon't care about the important people, we only wanted one room, we were told there were none. When asked about another hotel, we were told we could stay at the Holiday Inn by the airport. We proceeded to book our room at the Kempinski on their computer. Apparently Jesus was too busy to do this. The hotel restaurants are extremely disappointing. i stayed in the classic room ,very small ,very old TV 19inch the room had 2 double beds no king size or queen size bed too price for what you get very expensive internet charges 6 euro for 1 hour 19.99 euro or 24 hours i was disappointed from the my i got great location

I got a good deal so I am not too worried about it, the location is great, staff are very friendly, room was small but very clean with good quality mattress and lovely pillows. But if I would have paid the full rack rate I would have been quite unhappy. Great hotel, service impeccable. We were allowed to check-in at 10AM after a long over-night train journey, and delayed check-out by 4 hours for E30. Location ideal near parks, shopping, public transport. Bike-hire at hotel.

From the moment we arrived we were swept off our feet, our car was whisked away, our luggage was delivered to our room, and after an efficient check in we were excorted to our room. Our only complaint was the cost of the meals and drinks, however, this should possibilly be expected from this type of hotel.

Great location, great promotion on room prices but the room was a bit cramped . Breakfast and other meals too pricey, better step out to the Starbucks shop around the corner.

This hotel is in a great location. There is a large shopping strip just outside the door and many good restaurants within walking distance. It is just a 5 minute walk to get to the starting point for the hop-on, hop-off bus tours which are a great way to see the sites of beautiful Berlin. Also, a short walk to the S bahn, so easy to get around the city, […] or to Potsdam. The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. PROs: nice and big room (junior suite), good location for shopping and dining around, easy access to U bahn. CONs: dump smell in the corridor (3th floor), slow services at breakfast (had to wait several times for 10-15 minutes for ordering a cappucino and for fried eggs), outdated TV in the room, free WiFi in the lobby is a joke!

Wi-Fi charges are excessive (and so 20th Century); most newer hotels offer free Wi-Fi. However, Starbucks is conveniently located about 1/2 block away. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

It was a great value, not like the mainline Kempinskis in cost, but in service and atmosphere, very good.
