For the price, the Hotel Elan was a fair hotel. I would stay there again, but I would be glad to know what I know now. The desk personel were very nice,... let us check in a little early, and made sure that we were comfortable. The rooms were typical budget motel-type rooms. King bed, tv, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, etc. Continental breakfast is cereal, bagels, cream cheese, juice, coffee and muffins. Please be aware that some of the pictures from the website are from the convention center; not the hotel. Now I will tell you about the not so good parts. I chose this hotel because I figured a mile from the convention would be a great walk before and after my days at the convention. I wouldn't have to pay for the big hotel parking. The neighborhood is REALLY sketchy, because it is so sketchy, the hotel has security guards that are very rude, patrolling and asking if you are a guest, and can they see your key card. I actually saw one of them mistreating a guest because he left his room card in room with wife- wouldn't let him get breakfast! After the morning walk the first day, I got a ride back and drove the rest of the time I was there. I paid 7.00 for parking in the lot across from the Hilton and had full day in and out privileges.
