Staff was friendly, loved the list of rules they gave us at registration. Room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We will stay here again.

We were trying to save a few bucks while in town for the night and let's just say you get what you pay for. All said and done we will NEVER do that again. The hotel is pretty gross and outdated but the breakfast was nice.

Upon check in I was presented with a paper stating that parties and noise were not allowed ( the young lady who checked me in was very professional) however when I tried to get to sleep that evening I was awoken by what sounded like a herd of elephants running wild. I called down to the front desk and was told it would be stopped. After several calls […] to the front desk I was told there was nothing else they could do so Needing my sleep I asked to be moved, So at 12:45 AM I moved to a new room. The next day was very busy as I attended my Son's wedding and was gone the attire day. Upon returning to my room I found that the bed had not been made nor the towels and other items replaced. I would def stay there again. Everything I needed was provided.

This hotel was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. It's time for a little updating but overall a great place to stay. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Worst experience in a while. Dirty condoms in my room. Not corner. Bet there are nice rooms here but i just didn't get one.

We had four registered guests in our room but only two bath towels. We also ran out of toilet paper and there were no towels or wash cloths in the kitchen. The room was clean but one of the lamps had a burnt out bulb. There was only one bar of soap to share for hand washing and shower use. Breakfast was ok but the breakfast room was so crowded we had […] to wait to eat. The breakfast room was also overheated 82 degrees one day and 87 the next. The tv in the breakfast room had kids shows instead of the news but was changed at the diners request. We've stayed in other Wyndham suites, this was very similar. Decent pics shown in the ad. What you don't see is the burned out properties next door, the dozens of shady characters living in the hotel and partying at night with all their friends, the industry across the street, and the bad neighborhood. I actually pushed the sofa against the door to feel more secure but still couldn't sleep cause my room filled […] with cigarette smoke from next door even though it's supposed to be smoke free! The room was nice and comfortable. Airport shuttle was not available for early morning so we had to travel on our own. Other than that the hotel is a nice setting. Would visit again.

Not very good. Room dirty. Not enough towels/blankets .Linens did not smell clean or look clean. Dried bugs in towels. Dirty marks on sheets.Sofa sleeper was really gross. Sheets balled up in closet by door along with 1 blanket and NO PILLOWS for sleeper..Fri/sat night no parking for hotel guests avail. and it seemed to be party time in the ghetto. […] I will never stay there again. I generally stay at this chain's other location north of the city, and I've always been satisfied with the service and rooms. However that location was booked during my last stay, so I opted for this location. Big mistake. The hotel is not in a nice area, and I was afraid, as a single woman traveler, when they put me in a room all the way on the back […] side of the complex with an entryway that was covered by a staircase. Felt really sketchy. Then, the room was in general disrepair. The heater had to run all night to keep the room at 67 degrees, half of the lights in the kitchenette were out. Don't look at the bathroom floors or you'll barf. Lets just say there were clumps of hair. When I asked to change rooms, I was told there were no other rooms available. The TVs are the old, small kind and they only get about 8 cable channels and they're fuzzy to the point of unwatchable. Then the internet went out. Again, I was told sorry about your luck. Lastly, the hotel advertises that they have an agreement with an off-site gym to let guests work out. Management has let that agreement lapse, so again I did not get a service that was advertised. I was very disappointed in this hotel and would urge others to stay away. It's an extremely budget hotel, which generally doesn't bother me as long as the rooms are clean. This hotel was not what I had actually expected, but still ended up being decent for a one night stay. I don't think I would have chosen it if I had to pay more for it, though. It was about 15 minutes away from the airport, so it was really convenient. The desk clerk was very professional and personable. She was very friendly and joked with my kids. […] The room was mostly clean, but the desk chairs were stained to the point where I didn't really want to sit on them. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchenette was really nice as well. I did expect more TV channels and the reception was not very good either. I only got shampoo, no conditioner, in the bathroom and the towels were thin, too. It was nice that the shampoo, soap, and lotion were Neutrogena, though. The hotel itself is located on a hard to see frontage road and it is next to a deserted, rundown Howard Johnson. The area is not the best and the exterior of the main building was a bit worn. The breakfast area was small and it was extremely hot and crowded. I would recommend going when it first opens or you may not have a place to sit and you'll probably have to wait for food. Overall, this is a good place for an overnight stay, but I don't know if I'd stay much longer than that. Читати далі

I booked a room at Hawthorn Suites for my anniversary. I didn't know what to expect with the room but upon first glance I was impressed. It was very clean, had a nice layout, it was very comfortable, quiet, and the private suite was just what I would of wanted. i was more than happy. Full kitchen too with dishwasher and fridge, and microwave, and sink. […] I made the comment to her that we could practically live here! The bed was extremely comfortable. My wife usually wakes up tired at home. Here she had energy every morning! The tv was limited on stations but it still had cable so no complaints. The only thing we both disliked was the bathroom. Paint chips were floating in the tub and there was no soap! The sink had face soap...but I would expect body soap when coming to a hotel. Still, for the price this place was superb. Location was horrible I have to say though. We missed it the first time. Its directly off of the highway so make sure to make a huge U turn or you will miss it.Hot breakfast was important to us and they do serve sausage, egg, and potatoes with a hot waffle maker if you want fresh waffles. I would definitley book here again if we ever go back and visit Columbus. Читати далі

I was attacked by bed bugs on the first night and woke up the next morning with bites from head to toe. I reported this information in person to the front office & was told that nothing could be done other than moving me to another room because the manager wasn't present. The management hasn't contacted me to this day and I've not been reimbursed for […] my stay. Hotels.com wouldn't reimburse me without the approval of the hotel, which I'm also discouraged about. I believe that because I used Hotels.com to book my stay, they should go after the hotel directly and not expect me to wait for a refund, if I get one period. I will not use this service ever again. I'm going back to the other travel sites where the customer comes first & I'm treated with some level of respect. Читати далі

We came in town for a wedding and had previously stayed at this hotel years ago. Wow, the years haven't been good. There is a howard johnson and a restaurant next door that looks like a structure that existed in post world war II germany. Every wind was broken out of the hotel and people were constantly lingering around the place. And did I mention […] this was next door! I tried very hard to make this hotel stay work but they continuously failed me. We checked in an hour early, which was great, but the first two rooms that they gave us had people still in them, so that was a little awkward. The room was average at best, and the condition was definitely rundown. And the attached kitchen, I remembered being great, but it wasn't. We had one bowl and one plate and a hodge podge of utensils. Again, I had rememberd how good that the breakfast buffet was in the morning, and was yet again disappointed. It runs from 6:30-9:30. We got there at 8:45 and were picking at the scraps that were leftover. Nobody ever came to refill anything and in fact they were out of the waffle mix completely and nobody felt the need to refill it. The last two nights that we were there we tried using their wifi, to no avail. The front desk guy gave us a 1-800 number to call the company that was supplying it and after he did nothing, he said he would call later to see if it was fixed. Which he suprisingly never did. Our stay at this hotel was good. Everything was clean and adequate to our needs. My only complaint was the wireless internet service. My job requires that I am on call and need computer access. We had recently stayed at another Hawthorne Suites so thats why we reserved at this one but...... Well evidently this one needs updating . Our penthouse suite was very very dirty. The drawers in the kitchen were disgusting & the bathrooms were not clean. The desk in the downstairs bedroom was dirty. The beds were very comfortable but everything else […] was beyond disappointing :(!! Cable service on TV WAS HORRIBLE. Couldn't see most of the channels . Internet was almost non existant & for someone who was working out of town well it was frustrating. Will not ever reserve at this one again. This hotel was both cost effective and the apartment size room I had was terrific. I got in late and the desk was a pleasure. When Checking out that guy was even better.

The pull out couch was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very thin and worn but the beds were very comfortable.

Me an my husband love getting away from home life an we love staying at this particular hotel the beds sleep. So good they mke u not want to leave or wake up the rooms are always clean an it's a nice romantic getaway from a affordable charge

This was an okay stay. The surrounding area was a little questionable. Some of the other guests seemed like they had been living there. Hotel staff was friendly. The room was nice. There were paint stains in the bathroom and general stains on one of the chairs. Wifi was terrible. Connected for like 4 mins and then disconnected for 20. The free breakfast […] was in a small room. THis is the closest thing to a 5-STAR HOTEL you will find in the Columbus area. * * * * * Facility.

We booked this hotel while traveling, based on the size of the room, the price and convenience to interstate. However, we didn't expect the neighborhood to be so run-down, and shabby. The room was described as a double queen size penthouse suite with sofa bed. Far from it, although there were two queen sized beds, and a sofa bed. But, the sofa bed was […] so uncomfortable that my teenager could not sleep on it. The air conditioning didn't seem to work as well as we would have preferred, and internet had spotty connections. Nice Room, Seedy Location, Many People living here not staying, Parking is O.K., Good Breakfast, Great Bed, Decently Quiet, Close to Highway-Not Airport, Friendly Staff and Regular Housekeeping. Overall Grade: B-, however Not bad for the price!

Room was very big, full kitchen, & close to highway. Will definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel. Great service. Clean. Nice Breakfast. Only fall back was the eyesore next door the old Best Western Motel that is trashed.

We picked this hotel because the price was right for the accommodations we needed. It's location was a bit of the path though. Great suite fully furnished and large!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times when visiting my hometown. The rooms are nice and clean the only problem that i have had is the last two times i've stayed the wireless network has not worked.

WHEN WE BOOK A ROOM THE PERSON ON THE PHONE IS ALWAYS NICE AND POLITE. ALSO WHEN WE GET TO THE HOTEL THOSE WORKING AT THE FRONT DESK ARE ALWAYS NICE. WHEN WE ARE EATING BREAKFAST THE WOMEN THERE ARE VERY POLITE AND ALWAYS ASK IF THEY CAN HELP US. WE"VE STAYED THERE TWICE AND LOVED IT. ON OUR NEXT VISIT TO COLUMBUS WE WILL BE STAYING THERE AGAIN. This is the worst hotel experience I have had for quite some time! WiFi didn't work. I am not saying it worked poorly, it didn't work at all. They have broken routers. The front desk gave me a tech support number to call. I spent 40 minutes on the phone 2 nights in a row before I gave up on WiFi. Room was nice enough except the door didn't seal to […] the outside. Freezing air rushed in all night and the heater struggled to keep up. Even after a couple of complaint to the front desk regarding the WiFi and the cold air they never offered to move me to another room. Instead I was rewarded with a family of 4 moving into the room above me. They JUMPED around all night. Stomping their feet as they walked. When I saw the kids I was shocked. They were small and young so that tells me they were jumping off furniture and misbehaving. At one point they jumped so hard they knocked the towel bar in my bathroom off the wall. The parents didn't appear overly concerned. I complained to the front desk about this but nothing was done. To sum it, how about you get your WiFI fixed. If you want to cater to business travelers we need the ability to work at night in our rooms. DO NOT PUT PEOPLE WITH KIDS ON THE SECOND FLOOR! Clean, easy to get to (right off the Interstate). Very nice breakfast inluded. we have already made reservations for our next visit.

The hotel is in desperate need of cosmetic repairs and a good cleaning. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling from evident water damage. The door handle appeared to be rigged together with a screw in order to properly function. The toilet paper roll was empty and the bottom of the shower looked like it had never been washed. The outdoor light flickered […] on and off all night. The location is accessible to freeways but hidden off a service drive and was not easy to find. I don't intend to stay here again. Читати далі

Nice place great price and close to most things

I didn't stay long but I enjoyed it the people that was working when I checked in and out were very helpful!
