My husband and I have visited dozens of hotels in Boston due to medical appointments in the city. Of them all, this is our favorite. Service was excellent. Check-in occurs at a podium in the small lobby and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Bellhop service was not required but a bellman was stationed at the entrance in any case. A lift is available for the handicapped. The room was somewhat narrow but clean and tastefully appointed. The bed was firm and comfortable. […] There was a narrow space between the foot of the bed and the desk but easily negotiable. The bathroom was small and the biggest problem was the bathroom door which is too large for the room. I had to squeeze around it to be able to get in the bathroom and close the door, A pocket door would be better. Shampoo, soaps, towels were all good quality and the bathroom, shower/bath and water glasses were clean. Newspaper every day at the door. A small exercise room is available. Shaw's supermarket across the street. Near Boylston St and the Marathon site. Close to the T and the Marriott and Westin are essentially across the street. I was there for a week, which is a long time to get to know a hotel. The staff was very friendly, the accommodations were nice and my room was very quiet. The room I had was small but I realize Boston is expensive. And I didn't feel cramped even thought the space was small because it was an efficient layout. "Excellent Staff"

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. Customer service Excellent, rooms and renovations outstanding - the wine down social - awesome touch. Overall, I liked this hotel. Excellent location for Newbury & Boylston Streets, Prudential Ctr and Copley Square. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was an average size and nicely decorated. My only gripe is when I got in bed and found a dirty bottom sheet and pillow case with what looked like food stains, like maybe chocolate. A lovely hotel in a great Back Bay location. Most reception staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly. The wine down hour is great, and the hot chocolate in the afternoons is delicious. I visited for a few nights while on business and wanted to stay in this area. I had never stayed at this hotel, but had stayed at a few others in the vicinity. The price was right, so I tried it. I was very impressed for the price I paid. It is a beautiful old hotel that has been completely updated to a young, contemporary feel. The lounge was one that […] I would travel to. I did not try the restaurant, but it seemed nice. The service was great and I loved that I was offered a glass of wine upon check in! The room was a little small, but very comfortable and inviting. I suppose there are only two negatives I could possibly mention. The first was that one morning I did not have a hot shower, only warm and the second being that one night I could hear the loud music from the club downstairs. I was on the 3rd floor and was very surprised by this. It was a good thing that I was very tired and turning the fan on drowned it out. I am the type to quickly complain and have the issue resolved, but these "issues" were somewhat minor and the positives far outweighed the negatives. I loved this hotel and will absolutely go back! "Ok, not great"

Wonderful boutique hotel int the perfect Boston/Back Bay location. The Staff was very accommodating ( the young man behind the desk even personally made a cappuccino for me after the restaurant had closed.!! ) The beds and linens were lovely and the evening wine tastings an extra plus.
