Ramada Inn East Airport - Коламбус

The surrounding neighborhood was a little creepy and we had been told by previous visitors to not stay here because of frequent occurances of breaking in and vandelization. The hotel itself wasn't too bad. The pictures are nicer than what the hotel actually looked like in person. We didn'tt feel real safe at this location. Very affordable.

I am not a hotel snob; I usually go with the cheapest clean hotel chain, which I will not mention by name. This time, however, I was in need of an airport shuttle, so I decided to go with Ramada--bad choice. The room looked nice, but it was by no means clean. It smelled disgusting, but the worst thing was that when I got in the shower, I could feel […] the grease and grime on the soles of my feet that is the result of a bathtub not being cleaned often enough. Personally, I think the bathtub should be cleaned after each guest's stay, and I'm sure most people would agree with me. This is obviously not the stance this hotel takes on cleaning their bathtubs. Also, the airport shuttle only comes every hour on the hour, so you may have to get up a lot earlier than necessary in order to catch the shuttle, whereas at other airport hotels the shuttle comes about every 15 minutes. It is worth the extra $10 to stay at one of those other cleaner airport hotels. Читати далі

Basic hotel, close to the airport and somewhat easy to drive from the hotel to the airport-you use back road access vs. freeway. Wake up call was on time, the alarm clock in the room did not work and the staff did not know how to work it since they were new. The front desk clerk was very rude. There was no complimentary soap or shampoo in our room after check in. When I called the front desk to ask for some the rude clerk brought some soap and shampoo the bad part was that he also brought tooth brushes and deoderant but the gross part was the deodorant was used and had hair on it. Hot breakfast was very welcome. Rooms were attractive and comfortable. Quiet. A very good value.

We just needed a place to stay overnight in the middle of a road trip and our stay here was perfectly satisfactory. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast had more options than I expected.

We were very pleased with the staff and the hotel. The only problem we had was with Hotels.com. There was a major mix-up on the reservations and the Ramada East was not notified of all the details. Not sure if I will use Hotels.com again in the future, it was very frustrating, but it did get straightened out.

The hotel shuttle was not running even though they said it was when I called to check earlier in the day. I waited a the curb outside baggage claim for 15 minutes and then they called back on my cell and told me to take a taxi. I took a taxi at 2am and pd the fare, only to be told by two different desk clerks about how much I paid. They reimbursed me […] quickly but it was handled unprofessionally. Читати далі

I called to confirm shuttle pick up from Chicago. When I arrived in Columbus I called to tell the that I had arrived. The desk clerk confirmed that someone would pick me up in 15 minutes. After confirming someone would pick me up, I received a message on my cell phone that shutltle service was not available. I needed to take a Yellow Taxi. There were […] no Yellow Taxi's available. The Metro cab was there. The driver explained that I would have to pay for service and the hotel would take care of me. They would not accept the hotel voucher. Upon arrival at the hotel, there were 2 vans with "Ramada" on them. This hotel only has contract shuttle service. It is not 24/7 as advertised. My wife and I would of been better off sleeping on the floor, the bed was harder then a rock. The pillows were kid size so I had to go to the front desk to get more pillows. And when i left i wasnt even asked how my stay was at all. So it goes, i will not be back

This was the perfect room for my needs.

Shuttle took 45 minutes to arrive. they did take me to airport quickly that was fine room is outdated, shower was not enough pressure. Super close to airport that is great take a cab if shuttle is too slow for you. they advertise free shuttle but seemed like they didnt want to do it. They had a company come get me it was not Ramada but some other […] service but they were so slow VERY Slow. I had no idea what happened until the driver explained. the first floor facing parking lot the room had a sliding glass made me feel very UNSAFE as someone could have broken in there is no type of patio gate to protect you at all. I did not like that. 2nd floor i guess has balcony that maybe better. They have a treadmill if you want to work out and cardio machines which is great. i saw the pool it was gorgeous they offere a free breakfast but i didnt eat any but it was nice they tried. perfect place if you have to be at the airport quickly because you are on a layover and just wanted a nap, shower, or leaving early this is perfect but do not rely on their shuttle it was like an act of congress to get it going. If you are on a budget then this is ok but some of the staff do not speak good english so you must repeat things a few times if you have short patience then don't stay here. Also the room was a little dusty. I personally will not EVER book this place again . i thought it was pathetic but it depends. Depends on situation like if your flight was cancelled or delayed til next day then you stay here based on that but if you are on a pleasure of business pay the extra money and stay someplace where people understand you, the room is super clean and the shuttle service comes to get you on time. Seriously very frustating and ridiculous waste of time if you are used to 1 or 2 star hotels then this sort of thing will not bother you. This hotel was an OKAY stay, not something to write home about. When booking through hotels.com the statement says free parking, but the hotel will charge you extra if you are keeping your car there if you fly out. The hotel does not have elevators so if you have lots of bags and are on the second floor, you have to do lots of walking. It's located […] less than 10 mins from airport so it was a nice location and the airport shuttle was a plus, too. We didn't swim, but pool looked okay. We called ahead to make sure we had a room because of a late arrival. When we got our key we found that the room was already rented. How embarrassing for the party inside. We did get a different room but is was a smoking room. 7/8/11 D & P, Minneapolis MN

The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast is just eggs, meat, cereal and pastries but the eggs were the best I have had at any hotel. The rooms are fine. The floor had not been vacuumed recently. The hotel was very outdated. It wad not a comfortable neighborhood. Every tv channel was fuzzy to near unseeable. The breakfast was bad. The room smelled awful. We told them we did not want to stat a second night and would refund our money. We arrived late at night. The hotel clerk put us in stinky smoking rooms without even asking us - and then registered the wrong room number so one of our rooms had people trying to get in at 4 am to the same room. The toilet in the other room was broken. We were moved to different rooms the next day but would not go back. Caveat emptor!

This hotel had the best bed on our two-week trip. Folks were friendly and gave us directions to a park so our young grandson could run off some energy before the return drive home. Upon arrival the room we reserved with my credit card was given away and we were stuck with a 2 bed room instead of a king size. The room we got couldnt even power a lamp for more than 3 min. We were told we had no other options and that that was the only room available. After our room "fuse" blew out, we had no power and were expected to stay in the […] powerless room. After about an hour and a half of complaining and working with the Hotel staff, we were given a different room which was MAGICALLY the room we reserved and was the room we were told not 20 min before that was unavailable. Due to the neighborhood (not the cleanest) I didn't figure the hotel would be that great. But it was cheap and near the airport so I booked it. To mine and my husbands surprise the place was near spotless! The people at the front desk were really nice, and the walls were pretty soundproof. We arrived at the airport after 9 pm and called the hotel to find out how to use the free airport shuttle service. They arranged for a cab to pick us up and by the time we arrived at the hotel, our room keys, paperwork etc. had all been prepared. I was there on a football Saturday, and there was NO noise (surprisingly). It was very clean and the room was larger than most. A very good deal for the price. I didn't notice any decent restaurants in the immediate area, but didn't really care.

I was there so I could pick up a family member at the airport. The hotel was very c onvient, but it would have been nice to have a preprinted directions from the hotel to and from the airport. The breakfast area and meal were nice. I was only in the area for less than 12 hours

Not the best and mot the worst. The free breakfast was a high spot. It was much better than most hotel breakfasts. It had choices of milk, sausage, eggs with cheese and yogurt as protein sources.

Hotel was in very good repair . The staff was extremely kind & very helpful with suggestions for dinner or entertainment.

The hotel was conveniently located to where we were going, but the neighborhood wasn't great. There was fast food around, but not much else. I had a little problem with the giant spider crawling down the wall when we came in, but never saw any other bugs, and it is that time of year when they come inside. The beds were kind of hard too.

Very nice staff.

We where down for a football tourniment. Two of our cars where broken into. The robbers took everthing that was in the care including Sirius Radio, GPS, Ipod ect. If you have to stay at this hotel make sure you bring everything to your room and make sure you look your doors.

Pro's- room was clean aside from hair stuck in the hairdryer. Comfortable bedding, courteous staff. Con's- ice maker behind room was very loud all night. Room was freezing cold- thermostat read 55 degrees when we checked in, had to wait a half hour for the room to warm up, and heating unit was loud, kept clicking on every few minutes. Water from shower […] and sink took a long time to warm up. No refrigerator or microwave. Only 12 channels available on TV. Tip- if going to the airport, take advangage of the shuttle service. It was very difficult trying to find our way to the terminal ourselves since hotel's location is located by the back entrance to airport. Total distance from hotel to airport was farther than described on webpage. Plan on at least a 15 minute drive to get there. Читати далі
