Great value, breakfast was very good! Valet was very friendly and efficient, even with our large truck and arriving near midnight. Room was very clean, check out was really quick. Overall, very satisfied with the hotel for the money.

This is one of the nicest Days Inns I've stayed at. The location is much more affordable that downtown Chicago, but stil leasy to get around on the L.

This hotel definitely lived up to the previous positive reviews! While it was the cheapest non-hostel lodging available at the time of my trip, it was much better than other Chicago hotels I've stayed in during past trips. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the Brown subway line, which gets you into downtown in no time. It's also a quick cab (or bus) ride to […] the Blue line which gets you to O'Hare. My room (#211) had two twin beds - the beds were large & comfy and the entire room was really spacious & clean. You can hear some street noise but nothing overly distracting. The front desk was helpful with planning my early morning return trip to the airport. I didn't have time to explore the surrounding neighborhood, but having a Walgreen's & Trader Joe's nearby was convenient. I will definitely stay at this hotel again! Читати далі

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I did not expect much due to the low price, but the room was spacious, clean and in a great neighborhood. Would stay here again when in Chicago.

Stayed here for one day prior to see a Cubs game prior to a trade show for business. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. There were some restaurants and shopping in the same block and there were no issues that I could see within the neighborhood. Walked around freely without concern. I would recommend this hotel.

Suitable for me and two adult sons to rendezvous from disparate cities for a Baseball adventure. Wrigley Field less than a mile walk. Bars and restaurants everywhere. Good neighborhood. 15 minute stroll to the "L". Room furnishings are worn, beds were comfortable. The hotel is situated in a very good location with shops and local restaurants nearby. The brown line train is close and there are also buses that pass by even directly in front of the hotel. The hotel also provides complimentary access to a Bally's located inside a shopping center half a block away. The hotel's rooms were well-kept and the staff were […] friendly as well. My room was on the second floor, room 230 so I was close to the elevator, main exit door and the ice machine. It was a very cozy room. There was more than enough space for myself but I am sure two people would also find it comfortable enough. I had a desk&chair, ironing board&iron (I mention this because room 240 does not have this), a flat screen tv, […] two night tables and an extra chair. The bathroom was smaller than I would have liked but nothing that one can not manage. The bed was a full size and although I have a queen size at home,I must say it was very comfortable and spacious. I had the best sleep I've had in weeks on that bed! The hotel is overall very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is what you would expect a continental breakfast to be. However, you get to make your own waffles which was a first for me! The eating area is a bit small and can get crowded after 8:30am so make sure to get there early! You have a urban outffiters, jamba juice, Ann Taylor, Trader Joe, starbucks, CVS, Walgreens, small shopping mall, Bed/Bath and Beyond and Walmart all close to the hotel. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym and was a bit confused as to how to get to it. As far as where to eat while there, be sure to check out The Edge which is open 24hrs and is very close to the hotel. I would definitely go back to this hotel! Читати далі

In the Lincoln Park neighborhood which has a lot going on, many shopping stores and food surrounding. The staff were great and polite, and the room was lovely for the price. The location is the best part, though. Crazy close to a bunch of great pubs and restaurants, as well as the brown line train that can take you into the heart of downtown in a few minutes. My girlfriend and I visited Chicago for a short 3 day vacation in March 2013. We booked this hotel for 2 nights for an incredibly low price (no specifics, but it was the type of rate you'd expect from a dingy motel far from downtown). The hotel is very elegant, clean, and well-maintained. The lobby looks like that of a 4-star hotel. The rooms, while […] small (to be expected) were extremely comfortable, clean, and well-serviced. The staff were unbelievably helpful and flexible. We got into town at 10:30am, and were able to check in to our room upon arriving to the hotel at around 11:15, despite the listed check-in time being 3pm (they had already told us that it would be no problem for them to store our luggage had our room not yet been available). They also held our bags until 3pm on our checkout date, free of charge. The staff were always available and willing to hail cabs, give directions, or suggest nearby restaurants/points of interest, and were very helpful and friendly in general. The location is excellent. Besides a multitude of shopping and restaurants (including the famous Gino's East!) within walking distance in ritzy Lincoln Park, there's an L station a mere 5 minute walk away, which means going from the hotel to downtown only takes around 20-25 minutes. In addition, the famous (and free!) Lincoln Park Zoo is only about a half hour walk away. In short, everything about this hotel was basically perfect, and the rate was unbelievably low. Very nice room! Lots to do around the city with in walking distance or a quick bus or train ride. Although around 5:30a.m there was some loud noises that woke me up but you are at a hotel in city.

If you like your sleep go somewhere else. Also to use the elevator you had to use your hotel card at all hours to use it and it didn't work so great. Slightly annoying when you are in a rush or are not feeling well. Location was great. Had multiple shops close like walgreens starbucks. Staff was great. Hotel was clean but is old. Breakfast was ok but […] not a big selection of stuff. No eggs or bacon/sausage. Bed was comfortable. Tv and tv remote not so great. The layout of the room sucked. When you walk into your room it was a long hallway with a tight squeeze. To the left was a small bathroom that you have to step into to. The shower was extremely difficult to get the temperture right. Toilet paper was economy this might be a prob for some. Also the temp in the room was also hard to regulate. Most of this is usually tolerable to me but here is the kicker. The hotel is extremely loud. When people close their room door it is very loud. Every 6 AM this was happening and was constant the rest of the morning we were there. Then after that housekeeping was the same way. No hot tub no pool no gym. Parking was the only issue we had...it's very expensive to park down there and they get you for $24.00 per day if you have them do it.

The valet service was not mentioned when registering, it was an additional $24.00 charge per night stay that we did not realize would occur. We probably could have parked along the street somewhere but that would have taken a long time to find. The valet service was prompt when vehicle was needed. Overall the hotel is nice and serviceable. The continental breakfast is fine (but more trash cans outside the counter area would be nice). The front desk personnel were nice and friendly. The room was clean. Many of their "information" items were wrong or out of date (e.g., how to make a local 773 phone call -- what is listed on the phones is incorrect). […] Local phone calls are $1.00 which is outrageously high. Contrary to other reviews, my room was not quiet. I was in a Business Queen room and I could hear doors in the hall opening and closing as well as people talking and moving about in the hallway; I could hear people talking in the room next door (and they werent really being loud or crazy); there was some sort of trash compactor in the alley which was used late into the night and early in the morning. The heater was a disaster. The information in the room says that it is set to 72 degrees and would turn on/off. That was not the case. About once every 30 mins, it would blast hot air for about 10 mins before turning off -- by that point, my skin was hot and the room was well over 90 degrees. I kept turning it cooler and cooler, but the same thing happened -- and just as hot. So, sleeping was a 20 min at a time venture because i could only get somewhat comfortable when it was not blowing. (Turning it off made it almost instantly too cold.) And it was quite loud. The heater/air conditioner alone would make me hesitant to book this hotel in the future. Читати далі
