"Best Western Plus-Quito, What a Nightmare"
The hotel itself was very nice, but the service and care for the quests was the pits. We went to sleep around 9 PM because we had to get up at 3 to catch a plane. Ther was a party in the ballroom 2 floors below that played loud music all night. We couldn't sleep. At 1:30 I complained, but the desk said they couldn't do anything. As I went back to bed, […] we smelled smoke, opened the door to the room and found the hallway filled with smoke. I called the front desk and in Spanish said there was a fire. I was told to call another number, but no answer. I went to the lobby and found a bell man. We went back up to the 4th floor and as soon as he saw the smoke (it was on the 3rd floor as well) he called on his raido. We went back to the lobby and waited while the management investigated. They had no sense of urgency. Finally, at 2:30, we were told it was OK to go back to the room. Not even a thank you for alerting them to the problem. No other guests were eer alerted to the possible danger. We got no sleep at all. When I went to check out, I asked for them to comp the room since we got no sleep due to the loud noise and the fire. The management did not want to do anything. They told me to complain to Hotels.com. After arguing for about 20 minutes, they finally agreed to comp me my food bill. I would never stay there again. The management is indifferent to the safety and comfort of its guests and is very uncooperative. Читати далі
"Roomy, safe and Clean"
Stayed here 3 different times over the course of my 2 week trip to Ecuador. Rooms are large by American standards, they are all suites, with separate seating areas and a wet bar. "Impossible to sleep due to parties on ground floor"
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Every single night were parties on the ground floor going on. "Front Office staff not cooperative"
I would like to mention about 2 front office staff especially David and Isabel whom you can find at the reception. These 2 people lack hospitality and need more training before putting them as the face of the hotel. I found another hotel staff Gutierrez who is senior stafff and a good person. So if you have any problem at this hotel then do ask for […] this person. In front of hotel there is a mall where you can find all the stuff of daily use. Breakfast at Penthouse is wastage of money as they charge $10 for that and you can have much more if you can afford to go out from hotel in the morning. In the room you shall have noise of traffic so do carry ear buds with you if you want to have sound sleep. Rooms are big and hotel is clean. "Excellent location, value, and service"
This hotel is perfect for any stay in Quito- either a day or two for business or pleasure. I have done both and I can find no better value for the money. This is a higer end Best Western, which is not usually a luxury brand in the US. It would be considered a 3.5-4-star hotel in US standards. Plus, you are in the center of town near the park and shopping […] malls, and an easy and cheap cab ride almost anywhere. The rooms are almost like mini-suites with a separate sitting area from the very comfortable bedroom area. The beds are very comfortable as well. TV has many channels- and many in English. There is also a very efficient travel agency inside the hotel which can plan trips for you. It should be noted there will no longer be a casino in this hotel in the coming 6 months as the country passed a referendum in the last election to close ALL casinos in the country. We used it one night to kill off an hour or so after dinner, but it will not be around much longer. If that is a concern for you, check with the hotel. It was not a concern for us. Читати далі

We spent the last night of our two week Ecuador adventure at the Best Western. Okay, a Best Western? We were a little skeptical because the few BWs we've stayed at in the states were tired and run down at best. Not here. Nice lobby, great location next to the Quicentro mall and a nice park nearby. The view from the restaurant on the 6th floor was phenomenal!!! […] Something like a 270 degree view of Quito. Our room was a small suite and was perfect for our family of three. The only drawback was shower. Sure, it was a jacuzzi type tub (which we didn't try), but the pressure and the height of the shower head were below acceptable (pun intended.) "Great Hotel"
Great Hotel , great location , nice rooms. Two shoppingcenters close to the Hotel. Near the Airport. Rooms included all you need. Internet acces, frits. WARNING.!! Keep your eyes on your creditcards at check in. After usual slip . they went out to a backroom with the card. When asking what should they do that for ,they sayd that they are SCANNING that […] in to theyr computer. It has never happened me before. Because it was late 11 PM , non of the managers was there so I could not do anything to that. I complanet that to the Hotel manager next day. For my own safety I cancelled that card when I went home. Front desk staff were great. Had everything ready even though I was an hour early before "official" check-in. I had read some of the earlier negative comments. I encountered none. I will stay here again.

This hotel is wonderful. The staff will do anything to ensure your every comfort is met. They even give $10 in casino vouchers and a free welcome drink. Will defin ately stay there if in this city.

The staff of this hotel did EVERYTHING possible to ensure the comfort and pleasure of their guests. I will definately stay at this hotel again. Wish there were more hotels like this in North America.
"nicer than expected"
This hotel was very nice. We did not expect free drinks or casino cash, with which my husband won $82. We were given a large suite, also unexpected. The Penthouse restaurant was fantastic - both food and views were very good. The kingsize bed was comfy. I would stay here again.
This hotel is exceptional. The staff cannot do enough to make you happy. The room was in perfect order and more than comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel when in Quito.

"Plaza Hotel in Quito - good value"
We stayed one night at the Best Western Casino Hotel Plaza in Quito. The hotel is convenient to the airport ($5 cab ride, or free shuttle) and also central Quito ($5 cab ride in other direction). It is right next to a park and a shopping mall. Our room was large. Demasiado ruido producido por fiestas en los salones del hotel. Poca atención de los funcionarios del hotel ante nuestra queja.
El hotel está bien ubicado y el servicio es bueno. Las recamaras son amplias , sin embargo el baño es pequeño y el jacuzzi regadera muy incomodos y peligroso , es resbaloso y muy alto el acceso.

Situated 15 minutes from the international airport. We stayed there for 3 days before going back to Denmark. The hotel was extremely nice and clean. Had a nice bathroom and good beds. The staff was englishspeaking and very helpfull. The hotel is located in a nice area, with a huge shoppingcentre opposite it and a another big shoppingcentre 5 minutes […] away. Muy bien situado, cerca del aeropuerto, al frente de un shopping mall, cerca de un parque, las habitaciones muy bien equipadas y ademas con trasporte al aeropuerto, excelente mirador en el ultimo piso.

Hubiera esperado al menos un conato de sonrisa del personal de recepción. Fue frio pero tramitó con prontitud mi reserva. En la fachada del hotel tiene destacadas 5 estrellas, pero en realidad, al hospedarse uno diría que se le han caído unas tres, otra está por desprenderse y la que queda, como que mira para otro lado. La ubicación es excelente, a […] metros de centros comerciales, banca, etc. El aire acondicionado no funciona bien y está dentro de un mueble de donde sale una manguera de unas cuatro pulgadas que sale al exterior por algún lado y no deja cerrar bien las cortinas. Le falta mantenimiento. Al no poder regresar a Guayaquil por cierre de aeropuerto por explosión de volcán Tungurahua, me alojé en el Radisson. Ese si es un excelente Hotel. Читати далі
