Excellent old school hotel with atmosphere, traditions and history. Smiling, helpfull staff and very good service. Good food in the restaurant. This was my 4th visit to Londonskaya within 2012 and it now feels like my home in Odessa. I was on my way back to the UK having been staying in Nikolaev so it was just for the night, having to leave early for the airport the next day. I was greeted as an old friend and the early morning transfer worked like clockwork.

I was back in Odessa for the April 1st festival. Londonskaya was up to it's usual high standard and was, as ever, the perfect location. I did have a problem in that the power supply to the fridge and TV didn't work but, seemingly, no one had reported this to reception previously. I will certainly come back again.

Hotel has nice approach and appearance then becomes rather plain after leaving the "meeting and greeting areas" but certainly nice as a place to rendezvous initially. Clean, good food and drink reasonably priced. Rooms were a little more pricey than normal this trip inexplicably.

Very good all round with the exception of prices, a lot of facilities thought to be included was not,a breakfast was around 30 dollars

The hotel Londonskaya has a fantastic interior, the room which I stayed in together with my girlfriend was a suit and the day room was large and at least 6 meters to the roof, excellent condition, and the bedroom on the second floor were also the bathroom and sauna was located, large space for clothes and good clean room. Could have been really great, but refurbish is many many years overdue. Room was and bathroom in particular was too cold. Will never the hotel use again.

Magnificient historic building, in a majestic setting, overlooking the Black sea. Promenade in front, restaurants and shops in the surrounding pedestrian zone. One feels and expects to re-live the grandeur of the Russian Empire. Instead, one has to satisfy oneself with the ghosts of the Soviet era. The building begs for maintenance and uphaul. The […] craftsmanship in the partial restoration leaves much to be desired. The grand entrance is a front, to cover the forgotten bowels of a once-imposing building. The front desk staff are fluent in English and in control of things. The remaining staff are friendly, but less aware as to how to please guests. Very reasonable room prices, considering the grandeur of the building, yet understandable considering the simple in-room accomodations. Outrageously expensive breakfast and food, given the meager offerings. Slow WiFi. If it's your first trip to Odessa, stay at the Londonskaya. Would I stay there again? To show off a historic building to my travel companion, yes. To be next to the Opera, yes. To enjoy a comfortable hotel stay, no. There are other hotels (especially apart-hotels) in the neighbirhood, which boast more functionality and convenience, though less grandeur and history. Читати далі

No problems here. English is widely spoken by the staff who are attentive and courteous. The hotel itself is a beautiful building and is placed perfectly for the Opera and Ballet Theatre, Potemkin Stairs and central city amenities.

Just outside the hotel is the most beautifull walkway the stretches form the right all the way toward the left down town. Very lovely walk indeed)))

Very well positioned hotel .. if the price is right then recommended .. rooms a bit basic and small unless you upgrade !

Good hotel with excellent staff. Best location in town. We had New Years dinner which was an overpriced failure. Good starter but main course was a disaster. Poor breakfast too. So, nice hotel but stay away from the restaurant.

Hotel was clean with service team with kind of good old days of SU... Room was clean but noisy with an indefinite noise changing constantly in level. I love this Hotel, The Staff was great and the Hotel is beautiful. Its very old and in a few places it shows a bit of use but I feel that it adds to the charm. I felt like i was back in the grand days of the 1910s. Next time I go back I am going to stay here. John

Londonskaya is located in the old historical building and the interior of the hotel is very unique and interesting. Overall, it's a good place to stay, the drinks at the bar are a bit overpriced, but that's to be expected at the hotel. The only problem that I observed and it's a glaring one, the elevator did not work for 6 out of 7 days that I have […] stayed there. I don't mind walking up and down the stairs at all, but I felt really bad for older people that had to do that every single day. I would recommend this hotel, they have improved it greatly, I stayed several times in it, and now all of the quirks that were present before such as the lack of air conditioning/heat in the room have been addressed. I am an airline captain by profession so I have become somewhat of an expert on hotels during my 26 years of flying :) August 2011 was my third visit to Odessa and my second stay at the Londonskaya. The hotel was recently renovated and once again I was very happy with my stay. My room was comfortable, very good size (by demanding American standards), […] and the service was once again excellent. The staff spoke good English and I was happy to recognize some of the same faces from my previous visit 8 months prior. The location is beautiful right on the Primorskyi walking street and everything is within short walking distance. Even if the Bristol Hotel is my first choice in Odessa, I highly recommend the historic and unique Londonskaya - this establishment has tons of personality and charm, and it's a great place to stay when visiting Odessa. My stay was an extension of an earlier booking. I submitted a review on that experience and nothing has changed. Do not stay here. This hotel is poorly run and poorly managed. Londonskaya does not deserve its reputation and rating. Staff openly ask for tips, which considering the service is a joke! Not a good experience. This is a lovely hotel with a historical theme. This was my 3rd visit there. I had a very pleasant stay and would return there again. My only objection to an, otherwise, great experience was the total disregard of my presence when checking-in. I was ignored by the receptionist and her assistant while they were assisting just 1 customers. After 10 minutes, […] I said ... "please, I am just checking-in after a long travel day." There was no acknowledgement of my presence by either word or glance. I waited 10 more minutes and was helped only when the other guest was finished with his business. No apologies werer offered. I was clearly angry. I was given the keys to my room and traveled there with the Valet. The room was wrong. I had reserved a King bed and received 2 single beds and a lesser room. I returned to the Front Desk and the receptionist made a call and then informed me that the maid would turn it into a King. I was "steaming" now. I requested the Manager! He listened to my complaint and within 5 minutes, I was brought to a top-tier suite with his compliments and apologies. 10 minutes later, the Valet brought me a bottle of Champagne, fruit and chocolates. The remainder of my experience at Londonskaya was fabulous. With the exception of that single receptionist, the entire staff (Olga in Housekeeping, Ruslin in the restaurant and others)was excellent. This hotel is poorly maintained and badly run. Requests or queries regarding service are met with aggressive excuses and argument. A common response was 'that is not my job' or worse still.. ' that is your fault'. Some staff are willing, but need training and direction. Supervision and management was not evident. The apparently adequate staff numbers […] seem to stand, gawk and do nothing when problems arise. DO NOT STAY HERE On a positive note, the attached/associated fitness/wellness centre is very good. There were so manyproblems with service here it is hard to list. The airc was broken in one of the rooms and the hotel wouldn't fix it or even care that the room was in the high 80's. The maid refused to make up the beds in our twin bed room because there was a T shirt on the bed when she entered to clean. When my girlfriend tried to get a picture of […] the dining room, a waiter demanded that she give him a$60 tip to take it. The hotel is old and has the problems of any old hotel, but whoever is managing it should be fired. This hotel does not deserve its stars. The great things about this hotel are its superb location (the best in Odessa for any hotel, right near the Potemkin Steps), and its excellent front desk staff who go out of their way to help in any way possible. With fluent English, they are great at solving problems, organising transport, or just explaining things clearly and simply. My only complain […] was that the free wi-fi was offen difficult to connect to because the signal strength kept changing or dropping out - my best solution was to use the unsecured network (with no password) which seemed to be the most stable. A very beautiful hotel in classic style at a perfect location. BUT..the cheaper rooms aren't worth the money. The suites will undoubtedly be very nice but for less money you get a room under the roof: small, very basic and we couldn't switch off the heater.

Bad points: Some of the cheap rooms (mansard rooms, but not all of them) are better suited as broom cupboards and aren't worth the money. Breakfast was poor for what is one of the better hotels in Odessa. Some rooms with 2 beds only had one bath towel. Asking for another towel meant someone from housekeeping bringing a fresh towel, but wanting to exchange […] it with the other one, still leaving only one towel. Good points: Beautiful building on a beautiful street. A very short walking distance to the Opera house, and Deribasovskaya Street. My recommendation would be to get the more expensive rooms and you'll get what you paid for. The cheaper rooms are overpriced and in my opinion shouldn't even be offered in a hotel that has such high standards at the other end of the scale. Читати далі

The Londonskaya Hotel is in a wonderful location very close to the Potemskin steps. There is a park in front of the hotel with a view of the Black Sea. There are places to eat within walking distance and Deribasovskaya Street is about 5-10 minutes by foot. There is a business center with internet access that can be used at any hour. The rooms were adequate but […] a bit expensive. The hotel has a nice breakfast in the morning. They have a very nice spa which I utilized on a previous stay. The staff was extremely helpful. This was my second stay at the Londonskaya Hotel and I would not hesitate to stay there again. For westerners, do not forget to bring adapters for electronic equipment. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. However, the rate was much too high for the qulaity of the room. The beds were very uncomfortable and the mosquitoes in my room were terrible. The room they gave me, even at less than 40% full, was on a floor without an elevator and had to carry bags up stairs to a very small room.

Greit hotell for bare å være 4 stjerners. De trakk visakortet mitt 3 ganger ved avreise, og klarte ikke å ordne opp i det, men dette skal banken fikse. Så neste gang blir det kontant betaling..

Ganske imponerende hotel men kunne godt trænge til lidt vedligeholdese. Venlig og hjælpsom betjening.

Bien situé et de très bon standing mais attention : le prix du petit déjeuner n'est pas inclu et ...il est très cher .

Situation idéale, grand charme et bon confort. Petit dej cher (23 Euros) et ambiance impersonnelle, mais hotel tres recommandable !

Jag kan utanvidare rekommendera detta hotell. Har bott på tre av stadens bra hotell men Londonskaya skulle jag ranka som nr1.

Es ist mir ein Zimmer angeboten worden, das mit dem Flurzugang und das Zimmer selbst ,an Gefängniszelle erinnerte. Das waren höchstens 2x2,5 Meter und mit einem Eisfenster ergo ohne Ausblick. Nach der Reklamation, habe ich gegen zuzahlung ein Zimmer mit Meeresblick bekommen von sieben facher Größe gegenüber dem ersten. Das Hotle ist gut gelegen und man erreicht das Zentrum sowie den Hafen in wenigen Gehminuten. Viele Restaurants, Shops in der Umgebung.

Das war 1.Sahne - ich / wir sind ausserordentlich zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt in Odessa - wir können das Londonskaya Hotel nur weiterempfehlen und die Buchung über hotels.com war ein absolutes Preis / Leistungs Schnäppchen ! Die 3 Schweizer.........

Londonskaya ist ein traditionelles Hotel mit einer langen Geschichte. Z.Z. wird es renoviert, was zu entsprechendem Lärm führt. Das Personal beim Frühstück fiel nicht durch Freundlichkeit oder gutem Service auf und das Frühstücksbuffet wurde den Erwartungen nicht gerecht. Lag z.B. ein Kuchenstück mit Schimmel zur Auswahl.
