This hotel is right on the freeway, but surprisingly wasn't too noisy. Vehicle access was a little tight in the parking lot.

When we arrived for a late evening check-in the agent explained we had a double queen on hold despite reserving a king. After correcting the rep he regretfully informed me that they had no standard king rooms left; a blessing in disguise. We ended up staying in the suite for a fraction of the price. Other than parking being very tight by buildings, a pretty nice place with a good breakfast also. Staff was very courteous also. Room was clean, but not real clean. Overall a good place for the money.

It was quite comfortable and convenient. It has a 24 hour store for knick knacks. Free parking with cover that can be opened with a room key is a plus. Continental breakfast is hearty. This was not a good experience at this hotel. I always use Holiday Inn Express but this one was not so good. A lot of noise from the freeway in my room.

Good location, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was ready right at 6 a.m. as promised.

Overall a good stay. Recommend that the maintenance Staff check air condition. Family members while in the room would experience runny nose but once we were out and about not too much.

I always enjoy Holiday Inn Express hotels, they are very consistent in quality and service. This hotel however has a couple bad features that is not really anyone's fault, except location and some lack of thought. First - it is right beside a major freeway so if you get a room facing west be prepared for a lot of noise. Along with this comes the headlights […] reflecting onto the walls through the windows. This is where the lack of thought on behalf of Holiday Inn comes into play - the heavy curtains do not shut they are there for decoration only. You are stuck with only the thin sheers covering the window which do nothing - they do not block the headlights and do nothing to buffer some of the road noise. It would be nice to see the hotel change the curtains so that you can actually shut the heavy ones as this would improve the room significantly. Other than that no complaints - clean, excellent front desk staff and we got upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi tub! Not sure why but we didn't complain. Читати далі

It was fantastic. The beds were extremely comfortable. Easy access, right off the freeway. 2 exits from downtown. Free breakfast, complimentary wireless internet, complimentary coffee, 24 hour jacuzzi, free parking. Next to freeway but can't hear outside noises. Great waterfall showerhead.

Secure underground parking, nicely updated rooms and flat screen TV's. Rousted twice one night by fire alarm blamed on computer glitch. Location is not where map shows 2 blocks from interstate highway. Hotel sits on I-5 on ramp and 4 lanes of Northbound traffic. San Diego Airport is very close, so you also here the planes take off.

Nice place. Will stay there again. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Was only there one night and flying out the next day. The Airport shuttle was friendly on both the drop off and pick up. I really liked the security of the underground parking knowing my car would be safe until my return. Plus there wasn't an extra charge for parking my car.

the hotel staff which includes front desk and housekeeping were very pleasant, always greeting us with "Good Morning". The rooms were kept clean and neat and the grounds are well manicured. overall we had a great stay. Thanks so much!

I only stayed here for one night while on a business trip due to it's proximity to the airport. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport as well as nearby rental car companies and also to Old Town where there were quite a few very good restaurants and quaint little shops for souvenir hunters. The staff at the hotel was more than helpful in both […] scheduling us for the airport shuttle and answering questions we had about Old Town. The room itself was really tiny and the bed was definitely not the best. The room was clean though (if not slightly humid feeling) and they had quite a few channels on the tv, including several HBOs, not that I had time to enjoy them while I was there. Overall, for a one night stay I'd rate this as a 4 overall. If you were planning on staying here longer, I might not be so quick to recommend it. The facility did have a small pool that I could see from outside my room's window, but I did not get a chance to go out and actually look at it or use it (plus, I was travelling in December!). The room was very clean, the hotel lobby, and breakfast room was clean. The free breakfast brunch was well stocked and the personnel kept the tables clean upon guests departure. We stayed three nights here and it met our requirements. Convenient for visiting Sea World and Zoo. The free breakfast was below average (the juice machine was out of order one day during our stay). The carpets needs replacing. The noise is an issue too. There were ample parking spots available during our stay. Good staff.

I expected this to be just a room with a bed to sleep in at the end of the day. Instead we were pleased to find a staff that went above and beyond service expectations. This Holiday Inn Express was a convenient walk to Old Town (about 1/3 mile). Ample free parking on site, a good breakfast bar, and great beds. Also very clean. Short drive -- no more than 10 minutes -- to downtown, Gaslamp District, harbor attractions, and Balboa Park. We were very satisfied, and will probably stay there again.
