Boston Hotel Buckminster - Бостон

I recently stayed at the Boston Hotel Buckminster, it was a wonderful stay. In walking distance of many great places, friendly staff, and great prices. I would highly recommend this hotel to others if you want a nice hotel for a great deal!

This was my second stay at the Hotel Buckminster. My room was small as advertised (the Petite) but I knew that going in. I was in Boston on business and the room was just great for what I needed. Clean, quiet, everything worked fine. Only complaint is I would have liked a coffeemaker in room for that early cup of coffee. I did go down to Kenmore Square […] and grab a cup but that might not be appealing to everyone early in the AM. Staff was very cordial and helpful. I would stay there again. Читати далі

VERY NICE PLACE TO TO STAY AND QUIET.

This hotel had a charming antique interior, but clean, comfortable, modern rooms. The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive. The location was pretty central though there didn't seem to be much happening in the area immediately surrounding the hotel.

On arrival I received an upgrade to a king room which was a great service. Breakfast was good but not many options. Right near Kenmore Station and Fenway is in walking distance. Parking was and aditional $27

Refrigerator didn't work and you have to pay for internet access, but it's a good rate to stay in a convenient location. I've stayed here before and every time something in my room is broken, but the staff is nice and at least a breakfast is included. It's no frills, but I'll probably end up here again.

I'd stay here again, no question. Friendly staff, clean place, though old, and great price. Had pipes along ceiling of room, which was funky, but fine.

This hotel is in a good location if you are going to be anywhere near the Fenway area. It is a minute walk to the T and right near Fenway and all the bars in that area. The room was kind of small but the only reason you are there is to sleep anyways. Overall a good experience and would definitely stay there again.

I reservingly said that I would recommend this hotel to others. It really depends upon what you are looking for. I was in my room for only a few hours each night to sleep and shower the next morning. If this is what you are looking for than I say go for it. Would be great for a cheap place to stay after a Red Sox game. The Good - The facade and the […] lobby of the hotel are quite nice. The hotel is literally accross the street from Fenway park and within a block of the nearest T (subway) stop. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rate was unbeatable for a hotel in the heart of Boston. The Bad - Room was quite small by American standards and not up to date. The shower had hardwater, mildew, and rust stains. My key card worked fine the first two days but subsequently would not work for the final two days and I would have to go down to the main desk to get it working. Читати далі

The guest services were great and the accommodations were ok. It is a historic building so one should adjust their expectations accordingly about in-room amenities. There was no ethernet connection and you have to pay for wireless. The location was good for me, but all-in-all, I think it was overpriced for the accommodations. It is conveniently located close to a T station and the neighborhood is safe, but the windows are not sound proof and can be very noisy at night. Good to have breakfast included.

We were really happy with this hotel. The place was very clean and in a great location. I watched sun come up over Fenway Park each morning--a very nice way to start the day! The hotel is in close proximity to the public transport subway, the T, and there were a lot of great places to eat within walking distance. We saw a show at the House of Blues […] one night, which is only around the block, and were able to walk safely back to our hotel at midnight. Apparently I didn't read the description thoroughly and was pleasantly surprised that there was a separate living room with couch, coffee table, tv, microwave and eating table for 2! I stayed up late doing work so it was nice that living and bedroom were separated. I found it very convenient for going to the Hynes Convention Center, which is only 1 train stop over on the Green Line. Would recommend taking the train over walking because it saved me a lot of time. The hotel clerk did not give very clear directions on how to walk to the Convention Center, so it took longer for me to ask passersby. It was also convenient […] to reach Buckminster from Logan Airport by train. Take the Blue Line to Government Center and then transfer to the Green Line and exit on Kenmore. I like the different restaurants close to the hotel. Would recommend the Mexican restaurant across the street. McDonalds has unlimited wi fi, if you exhaust the 60 minutes that the hotel provides. The hotel is a short walk from Fenway, and a block from the Kenmore T stop on the green line. There's a ton of great dining in the area, and plenty of entertainment. It's an old building but very clean, and the front desk staff was fantastic. We'd definitely stay there again! The one downside that isn't really the hotel's fault... the underground parking […] area is full of rats at night. So basically, don't have a car, and take the T instead. It's way more convenient. The room was very clean, albeit small and oddly shaped. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Well worth the price if you are using it as a base to see the city. Minutes from Kenmore Square, the Green Line T, Fenway Park and Boston University. If you just need a room at a good price then well worth it.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel and the worst room. Window overlooked two brick walls and constant noise of ventilation system(?) kept me up both nights.

We stayed at the Buckminster for Parent's Weekend at BU. The room was HUGE with 3 double beds and you can see Fenway Park from our window. Staff was great and held our luggage since we arrived early and then left late on our departure day. Continental breakfast was fine. Only complaint was that we didn't have hot water in the shower. We called down […] to the front desk and were told it takes 10 min for the water to warm up b/c it's an older hotel. Shame to have all these wonderful environmentally friendly soaps and shampoos only to run the water for 10 min(and it was still not really hot but warm enough to shampoo/rinse. Buckminster was very close to the "T" station to tour Boston, Fenway Park, eating places, Freedon Trail, and so many other places. All Boston was very friendly and very clean. I would stay here again if I was coming back to Boston again. The hotel could use some updates - new carpet, etc., but the employees were very friendly.

The front desk staff that worked the am shift were AMAZING! They were so knowledgeable about the area and were a big help in how we planned our days. The location was a 5 min. walk from Fenway and we had great view of The Green Monster from our window! It was also only a few blocks from a sub station. Location is right down the block from Fenway Park and near BU. The room was very large (as was bathroom) but was so tired and old and in need of a facelift. The comforter and blanket on bed were disgusting and we didn't want that to touch our bodies or face and it was a bit chilly in the room so we basically slept with long sleeves/long pants and a […] sheet. First of all, you cannot beat the location of the Buckminster if you are headed to a Red Sox game. Our room had a wonderful view of Fenway. The room was clean (if just a bit on the small side), the bathroom large and well lit, bed was super comfy, and hotel staff were wonderful. I was a little concerned because some of the reviews stated that the […] hotel was run down but I did not find that to be the case at all. We stayed in room 314 and it was clean and up to date. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, from recommending places to eat to how to get somewhere on the "T". They also held our bags the day we checked out which is a nice service since our flight wasn't until 6:00pm. I would recommend Boston Hotel Buckminster to anyone and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Boston! Читати далі

Cramped room without dresser or drawer space.

Had no hot water the first day and a half we were there. Unable to tame showers until two hours before we checked out.

GREAT hotel for the proximity to Fenway Park. Great looking lobby and excellent staff. The room was quiet and well stocked with toiletries. The only downside is that the room was TINY. If you are looking for a room close to the stadium, and don't mind getting close to the person you're with, then this hotel is perfect.

If I had know this place was as ragged as it is, I would have slept in a T station. This place hasn't been updated since its inception in 1897. Don't let the name nor location fool you. I've been camping for years, and the outdoors is a much cleaner and better aromatic place than this. It's a good thing I was traveling solo. I may have been upgraded. I had a two room suite with a comfortable couch and arm chair and a table with chairs. The bed was adequate. I could hear traffic noise but it didn't keep me awake. The only real problem was that it took 20 minutes for the hot water to reach the room.

Surprisingly nice accomodations for the low cost, I had a very good stay and the staff was very polite and hospitable. I recommend it strongly!

Great location to stay and see a Red Sox game and also with a daughter at Boston University....somewhat dated, but you have to love the price!!

Perfect location, just steps from the Kenmore T Stop on the Green Line. Less than a 15 minute T ride to downtown.

Stayed at the Buckminster 8/7/11 for Sox/Yankees game. Room # 618. Room was clean and updated - tile bathroom, spotless room, flat screen TV, comfortable bed. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Convenience to Fenway a bonus.

We had a great time in Boston. This hotel was great because our main goal for the trip was to see the RedSox play. And we could see the feild from our room. The hotel is about a 10 min cab ride, or a train ride to the down town area where there are alot more sights and attractions. The Buckminster is located just steps away from Fenway Park, the reason for which we were there, Red Sox vs NYY game. The Hotel is totally different from any other hotel we have ever stayed. To get to our room (that overlooked Fenway) we had to walk thru a little maze of sort for the hallways were not straight....it was great! The bathroom was very […] clean however the shower head needs to be replaced. The TV was very old but worked. I guess we are spoiled with the flat screens! The Buckminster is THE place to stay if you are going to Fenway Park. Easy walk to the park and to the Old Town Trolley, which will take you all over Boston to all the sites you want to see. You will save on your rental car and parking fees by staying at the Buckminster. If you are only going to stay in Boston you will not need a car at all. Take the […] T from Logan and back to the Airport or a cab is about $25 if you have a lot of luggage. The only thing I would change about the hotel is the TV in the room it was small and did not come in very well, but this was of little concern since we spent so little time in the room. Читати далі
