This facility should not be listed on Hotels.com. It is noisy, dirty and not well maintained. There are gapping holes in the room, and the doors to other units are squeaky. I tried to cancel my reservation, but the policy would not allow it.

We were staying there for 4days/3nights, first room we got wasn't cleaned greasy fingerprints on the door and carpet was visibly dirty. The bathroom was the worst part...the ceiling was caving in above the shower to the point it looked like it was about to burst if the person upstairs used their shower and the tiles around the shower hardware was sunk […] into the wall and there was a gross amount of hair hanging out of it. We asked for another room but we understood that we would have to wait until the next day. We told them we were going to explore for the day and would be back later and to hold a room for us they agreed but when we returned the only available room was a smoking room but the desk clerk assured us they cleaned the room very well and we wouldn't be able to tell. The room smelled terrible but the bathroom was in better shape so we didn't complain about it. Besides the terrible room experience, the "deluxe" breakfast was cereal and toast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not a perfect stay but the hospitality made up for the issues.

The condition of the Hotel was horrible. The ceiling in bathroom over the shower looked like it was going to call and cave in at any time, and when shutting off the shower, 2 tiles came out of the wall. The room did not smell good and when I notifed the front desk, they didn't appear to care too much about the ceiling or the tiles. I was extremely disappointed […] and will never stay here again!! Good value and easy access to airport/ B.A.R.T.

Was supposed to receive a wake up call so that I would not miss my plane. Room phone did not work. Shower/tub was in need of cosmetics. Toilet seat was loose. The a/c unit worked but the vents were broken & not able to be adjusted for comfort. Overall the location was good.

Howard Johnson Express is OK, comfortable enough. I'd recommend asking for no maid service--very peculiar in that they take away your towels and linens but don't necessarily replace them, open the door but don't necessarily close it. Just pass on the maid service and you'll be comfy enough here.

We had a good time in san francisco! Luckily our hotel was just used for sleeping cuz with 2 adults and 4 kids there wasn't alot of extra room. But we were nice n cozy and had alot of fun! The bathroom ceiling above the shower had a big water pocket in the ceiling! Thankfully it didn't pop on our heads while we showered!! The Howard Johnson Express is one of the business accommodations my company prefers for its economy. It's usually OK. But this visit, in lovely, spacious Room 202, it was unexpectedly NICE! This hotel is an adequate accommodation for the weary traveler. The bathrooms are a little cramped as far as the toilet goes, the climate control unit in the window functioned but did not keep a steady temperature, the shower was plugged up and it took them two days to get someone to fix it. on the positive side they did offer a little breakfast which […] for me was not of interest, I had breakfast provided with the purpose I was there for. The staff was curtious, and helpful, I was a little irritated with the fact that I had to go through 6 different keys to finaly find two that would actually work, of course the person helping me at check-in, went through probably 50 or 60 keys before finding a couple that would show up on the programmer as working. Hairdryer was missing from the wall, light bulbs burned out, the bathtub had no hot water and the tub did not drain, towels were taken away but none left, and one day I came back to the room and housekeeping had left the door wide open, clearly for hours, since the cold and rain came in with a vengeance. Freeway and conference center are very convenient, as is airport transfer. Basic amenities overall good value. Parking is tight, some maintenance would be appreciated, but overall comfortable enough.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and the maid service was terrible. She didn't vacuum or throw away cups. She didn't leave extra towels or leave any coffee for the coffee maker. I complained the first day and they said that they would talk to her. I had to go to the office and get towels and coffee so I could take a shower and have coffee in the morning. […] The next day she did the same thing. So I complained when we checked ou\t. A good value, nice enough for the money. They have some issues with room keys needing rerun, a few minor maintenance issues, tight parking, but it's overall a solid choice in the economy category.

Cop in the parking lot on arrival ...shady. Desk clerks were nice.VERY tiny breakfast area so I did not bother.Bathroom tub was AWFUL.All the original finish was gone so they painted it in different shades of beige.Hair clump in broken drain.Hair on bathroom floor but towels were nice and clean.Had to lay a towel inside the shower so as not to touch […] the interior of tub.Very disturbing. King bed was VERY firm but clean. Biggest complaint was that the adjoining room's entrance door was so close that it sounded as if they were opening the door to my room and these people were in and out ALL night! I had to push the reclining chair in front of the door so I could feel a little safer to sleep. The room was clean with working small microwave and fridge.TV was antiquated but also worked. This lodging is nice enough, could use some maintenance work on the electrics, alarm clock didn't function, but was warm & comfy and I slept well. Not bad for the economical price.

I have been staying in hotels thorughout the country. i am not the person first to complain. ive worked in the hotel/restaurant business. The room i stayed in was the absolute worse. huge bubble in bathroon ceiling (from 2nd floor shower). crap stained onto wall near toilet. unpleasant odor throughout. piles of dust in different areas of room.

The accommodations were standard, the service friendly. But each time I've stayed (3) strange clientele have been disquieting. At first I thought, "OK, sometimes police calls are necessary anywhere." Next time, "Well, OK, there's a 49's game, so the crowd could be loud and boisterous." But this time I was outright frightened. The people in the neighboring […] room were not only loud, they kept entering and exiting every hour, very noisily, all night long. There were angry "discussions," new car lights each hour, and the hourly visitors kept accidently pounding on the door of my unit. Upon arrival they gave us a room with 1 bed when we booked 2 beds. When addressed at desk, clerk said they didn't have any other rooms except for a room with 2 beds that had no working toilet. He offered a roll-away bed which we had to take. He had to leave desk & get it himself. There were no towels in bathroom. Trip #2 to the desk, the clerk had to […] leave the desk & fetch the towels himself from the laundry. He brought us 2 wash clothes & 2 hand towels. We then had to ask for BATH towels which then he had to leave AGAIN & go get from laundry. This all took well over an hour & it was already 11:30pm when we first arrived. Not a bad little hotel for the price. Was clean and tidy, staff was helpful and nice. Only stayed one night and went to a pro ball game so it was the perfect location. Close to fast food and a little downtown area with fantastic restaurants. Had a good night sleep but plumbing needs to be addressed and the fan in bathroom didnt work if you care about […] that stuff. I would stay again considering the great rates. Читати далі

Forty-Niner fans seem to prefer this lodging, and these enthusiastic (noisy!) co-Travelers flocked to this lodging. The facility is solid, the heat and water functional, and I enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room. Of course the Niner fans resulted in efforts to mistakenly deliver pizza to your room when you were trying to sleep, a few visits from […] local police, and other interruptions to a peaceful stay. Having read so many negative reviews on this hotel, my expectation was, well, I had no expectation at all. I needed to stay one night before catching an early morning flight at SFO and this was among the cheapest with free shuttle service that I could find. When I checked into my room, I was surprised by how pleasant the room looked. They had replaced […] all the furniture. Everything was new--the bed, table, chair, sofa. The sink, shower, etc. in the bathroom were also new. It seemed like they had rectified many of the problems that the reviewers had addressed. The only negative is that if you don't have a car, it's hard to get pretty much anything. and There was no convenience store nearby. I had to walk quite a distance and jaywalk to find a gas station that sold water, etc. There's a Chinese buffet restaurant across the street from the hotel and a family restaurant in a block. The nearby Holiday Day Inn has a restaurant and bar. That's about it. I would stay at this hotel again if the price remains low and they give me the same nice room. Читати далі

we booked/reserved for non smoking room coz we have a 2 yr old son & we were given a smoking room, when we asked the guy at the front desk, he just simply said "there's no guarantee esp. from hotels.com" and he told us that there's no more non-smoking available...worst customer service i've ever experienced.

The first room we went into smelled like someone had just smoked a cigar in it, even though it was supposed to ba a non-smoking room. It was a large room with a flat-screen TV. They moved us to another room and it was quite a bit smaller and had a tube-type TV. Wifi and cell signals were good. Get ready to wake up early at this motel if you are on the […] second floor as the HUNDREDS of black birds screech and squak in the trees. The room is not clean enough. The housekeeper didn't prepare the stuffs in the bathroom completely. Plus, there are noises around the room like the bathtab, the flush in bathroom and also from surroundings like from next room when they close the door. The sound disturbed so much for the bedtime.

The hotel was great but the clerk forgot to give me back my drivers license after photocopying it and I had to call them about it!!!!! I've had no drivers license now for 4 days and can only hope that they express mailed it so that I will have it on Monday, the 5th day.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The air conditioner worked fine. Free shuttle to the airport. I would stay there again.

The hotel is close the airport, where I wante to stay. It is a type of motel actually. the price is reasonable to what I get. the staff was very nice. If you want to stay one night for travel, it is not a bad place to stay.

Clean comfortable hotel. Excellent airport service.
