"Convenience and Comfort"
I stay here almost every time I am in the area. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants with convenient parking under the hotel. The beds have pillow tops and knock me out like a hammer. In a quiet location too, so not too much City noise. They have a good restaurant, sports bar and exercise room. What more would you want?

"Hilton Garden St.Paul Center"
We stayed one night for a business trip...our room was spacious & clean but definitely worn & dated. We were disapppointed after having spent time at the Hilton in Minneapolis. This hotel needs revamping! For the price that we paid..... But, some positives: the Sports-Bar/Restaurant was very nice. The bartendar/waitstaff/server was excellent! On a very […] busy March Madness night, he was attentive to all of the customers (sorry that we didn't get his name)....the food was also very good~~not your typical bar food. "Hilton Garden Inn - Downtown St. Paul"
Perfect location for events at the Excel Energy Center. Purchase the breakfast option because the restaurant has great omelets. We ate dinner there once and were very satisfied with that meal too. Hotel seemed slightly dated but was comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Downside is the $15/day parking in the parking garage.

"Nice room, great location"
My only real complaint was I paid for King Room with Breakfast Buffet, however never did find the breakfast buffet. I was never given any info about it and there was no information in the room. The check in desk staff was nice, but not very informative, seemed rushed. All in all a good experience. Would go back.

"Hilton Garden Inn St. Paul City Center"
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised after reading several bad reviews of this hotel. When we arrived the front desk staff was very courteous. All my requests were fulfilled without any problems. When we got to our room we decided to have some of the wine that we had brought. Upon realizing we had forgotten to bring a cork screw, we called guest […] services and they sent one up to our room immediately. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have about our stay are these: The parking ramp is not clearly labeled, you have to just be blessed with the knowledge that the Hilton is in Town Square. Also there is NO hot tub in the entire hotel, very disappointing. The skyway can be very confusing, but the hotel is not to blame for that. At the breakfast buffet, the eggs are not fresh, they taste like reconstituted powdered eggs, also very disappointing. And lastly, after check-out, on the way home we realized that we left a cell phone charger in the room. We called the front desk, they sent someone to check our room, the charger was located, and we were told it would be shipped at our expense. When it arrived it was NOT the one we had left behind, what are we supposed to do with that? All in all, I have to say our visit to the Hilton Garden Inn St. Paul City Center was decent. "What a disappointment!"
We normally stay at Hilton properties because they are consistently clean, comfortable and responsive. This hotel was a sad example. To start with, my room had big, dark stains on the carpet - doesn't exactly invite you to kick off your shoes and be comfortable. There were multi-colored crayon marks on the walls - not what you expect in a business hotel. […] The shower curtain was past its prime; there were black smudges all along one side. The kicker was that I asked for pillows when I checked in - I hate down pillows and I always ask for foam. No foam pillows the first night, so I asked the next morning at the front desk. And the next morning. And the next evening. It took 4 requests, the final one in a very angry tone of voice, to get any response and at that, the man from housekeeping showed up with a single pillow. We were in town for a hockey game and wanted something close. The Garden Hilton was a pleasant surprise. It was minutes away from the Excel center, and some wonderful little restaurants. You could walk.

"Hotel was fine"
The hotel was clean, and room was fairly big for a hotel. The elevators were a little older and jumpy which I didn't like. The restaurant served a good buffet breakfast. "Not as advertised"
Not as advertised Three Star at best Booked a King Suite on Hotels.COM and was given a King room in the corner of the hotel on the fourth floor. When we checked in the clerk said the hotel was only 20% full? But gave us a crappy little room on fourth floor? Paid extra for a suite and was told that’s all that was available. My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel because it was close to xcel energy center, where we were attending a concert. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was nice. Very nice location, walking distance to many attractions. We also ate at the on site diner. Great service and excellent food!

"Hilton Garden Inn MSP"
Our room was nice. There was a HUGE thunderstorm our second night and at about 2AM a voice came into our room from a loudspeaker and said that the hotel was experiencing an emergency and we should "stand by for further instructions." When you think Hilton you expect the best. This hotel was far from it. The hotel needs a serious remodel from the first floor to the 17th. front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Hotel is attached to skyway and guests do not need to wander outside in inclement weather.

The Hilton Garden Inn downtown in St Paul Minnesota is located close to the XCEL Energy Center and other attractions. Everything is within walking distance. My only complaint was that like most downtown hotels thaey take more of your money for parking even though you are a guest at their hotel.

"nice looking but not a good stay"
The room was nice, but when we got in there it was very cold. there was no heat, no hot water, the sheets still had stains and stuff on them from prevous guest. and when i called the fromt desk at 1030 pm to inform her there was no heat, she didn't do a thing.

Hotel was quiet because of holiday. Only downside was the pool was a bit cold, though I'm assuming it was because there wasnt many guests over the Christmas holiday. Resturaunt still open for dinner and breakfast each day. Great service.

"Great service even when very busy!"
The hotel was very busy with it being New Year's Eve and with 5 weddings. But, that didn't effect service. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice room, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good (but scrambled eggsI think were powdered...go for the chef making you fresh ones. Close to attractions in downtown St Paul
"St. Paul Hilton Garden"
Questionable downtown area warranted a doorman that didn't exist. Not enough staff to service guests. Guests sleeping on the floor of the lobby, marginal bar service. Our room was OK. Overall a very unpleasant stay for a Hilton. Next time I will go to Minneapolis.
"Good price for the location"
Great price for being so close to the capital. We went to a show at the Fitzgerld Theater and it was a surprisingly short walk. Hotel staff very friendly and efficient. The place was very quiet on the weekend. Food was very good. Renovated room was nice. Bathroom a bit outdated and cramped, but liveable for a short stay.

See title. Between the can't go wrong restaurants in the area, the plush carpet on every square inch of floor and the staff that didn't fail, disappoint or go lazy on me even once I enjoyed my stay immensely.

"A very rough neighborhood"
The staff was awesome, the food and bar first rate. I couldn't have asked for more at the property itself, but if you venture out to any of the surrounding resturants, take a bodyguard, the neighborhood is pretty seedy.

This was maybe the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Great price for a A+ quality room. I was staying there because of it's great location. I was surprised to find that the hotel was connected to almost all of downtown by a skyway. We were able to walk inside the skyway all the way to the Xcel Energy Center which was why I was visiting St. Paul. And since […] I was traveling in Jan and it was -20 most of the time I was there it was great to never have to leave the hotel or skyway connected buildings all weekend. I highly recomend this hotel!
