The transportation to this motel is very convenient by just using the courtesy phone in the LAX airport when we arrived. The motel itself is nice and decent and worth its price. I was afraid that the noise of airplanes would be disturbing. Happily it was not. The continental breakfast and the restaurant are not bad either.

Visited Shelter in May 2010, the rooms are big and clean, in a reasonable price. The room is simple in a stylish way, quite comfortable. King size bed is good, you can get a good sleep there. It is in the Korean Town, located in the city. Location is quite convenient. Hotel provides free parking space at ground floor. The staff is friendly. It's a good place to stay in LA.

Located in high class beautiful Beverly Hill area. Walking distance to Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hill residential area. Very convenient and quiet. A small hotel with no lift or elevator to go upstairs, so have to carry luggage to the second floor. The staff are very helpful and nice. Facilities are basic but neat. Breakfast is basic. A little bit expensive but the location worths it. It is quite good as a last stop to relax and walk around, or to drive to anywhere. Bus stops are available outside the hotel going to Santa Monica or Hollywood area too.

Don't be fooled by the brand "Sheraton"--it's not. But if you can somehow sign up on the Internet to get a deal 60% of the real Sheraton, I wouldn't complain. it's close to the airport, with a nice shuttle service to LAX, but you have to be content with the Burger King nearby, because that is not only eating place within walking distance. I had dinner, and breakfast, and mostly the time i had the place to myself. Otherwise you need to shell pout 16 bucks for breakfast.

The hotel is GREAT ! From the lobby, the front desk, all the way to the room, everything is more than fine. Me and my wife are very impressed and we hope would have stayed longer -- we got there at 11:30PM and stayed for only one night. Gotta come to stay if we hit the city again.

"Perfect for Engagement Night Away"
Hotel and accommodations were a little more that I usually spend, but for a special occasion (engagement), it was the perfect setting. "I LOVE THIS PLACE!!"
This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. Close to the promenade for a walk above the beach. Close to Montana for good shopping and coffee. Close to Core Fusion across the street for exercise. The staff is amazing too. I wish I could live here.

Was not pleased with this hotel at all. The room was very small with 2 queen beds. Probably would have been better with 1 king. One of the beds was so close to the closet it was difficult to use the closet. The full length mirror was on the closet door which was useless as the bed was in front of it. There were no drawers to put clothes in, so you have […] to live out of your suitcase, We were supposed to get a free USA today each day, but only got 2 out of 3. If you choose to stay at this hotel, request a room far away from the elevators as, they are very loud (and slow). It sounded as if people were rollerskating on the other side of the wall. The hotel room itself was very nice and the bed comfortable; the bathroom was very modern and had a great view. The dining room/bar was very upscale and offered nice sunset views. The lobby was small (low-ceilinged) and not as impressive as I might have hoped for the rate of the room. Our room was much nicer and larger than expected. The furnishings were modern and up to date. Easy free parking plus the daily paper were added amenities!

"The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica CA."
We were attending a wedding at the Fairmont hotel in Santa Monica so the Huntley was very convenient. In retrospect however, I wish I had spent the etra money and stayed at the Fairmont. The room, and specifically the bathroom, was very small; the corridors were so dark as to be hazardous and my biggest complaint, as petty as it may sound, was the bed […] frame. It was a wooden frame and protruded at least 3 inches beyond the mattress. The comforter on the bed was covering the frame so I smashed my shin on the corner of the frame two separate times. "The Huntley is a Santa Monica Gem"
if you find yourself in LA do yourself a favor and head out to Santa Monica for a night at the Huntley. It's ideally located close to the Promenade, Beach and Montana Ave. There's a great bar scene in the roof top bar and the rooms are clean and spacious. The one issue...why does an upscale hotel like this still charge for WiFI?

"The best hotel in Santa Monica"
Thia hotel is delightful. It literally took our breath away. From the beautiful smell of essential oil candles burning in the lobby to the magnificent 360 degree views of Santa Monica on the top floor bar and restaurant. We wished we could have stayed longer.

This is a great Hotel, which is priced accordingly. It is very well located and is within walking distance to all the sights in the area. The only complaint would be the noise from the lifts that was audible from our room. Would stay again (just a bit further from the lift)

"I LOVE this hotel!!"
This is the second year in a row my husband and I have stayed at the Huntley for our anniversary. The staff is wonderful, extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was awesome with a breathtaking view of the ocean!! I'll be back next year!!

"Great Hotel!"
Great overall hotel, Get the view room and be sure to eat at the restaurant!
This hotel was very quiet, comfortable and overall wonderful. The bedding was comfortable. The room was large. We had a wonderful stay at the Huntley and would recommend it to all families. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious for all ages. My girls and I were very impressed.

The hotel was in a great location. The room was very clean and comfortable and the majority of the staff were very nice and helpful. I don't think it was worth the price we paid. I also don't believe that guests should have to pay an extra $10 for wifi.

Nice Hotel Walking Distance to 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Noisy air conditioner/heater and thin walls.

"Southern California Comfort"
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are stocked with all the toiletrees you need. The restaurant on the top floor has amazing views and good food. The bar scene is very popular, but it is loud and the crowd on the older side.

"Not recommended"
My husband and I were trying to have a long overdue getaway. Very disappointed we did not get the room we reserved. Instead, we got one overlooking a roof. Then the restaurant was closed for a private party the entire day and night,which of course is simply business, but disappointing. "Great location, but not the best rooms"
Great location in Santa Monica. However, the rooms are small and the walls too thin. I heard the people in the rooms on both sides of my room. That is my biggest pet peeve at a hotel. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and the hotel services fine.

The Huntley is well located to allow guests to take advantage of everything on offer in Santa Monica. It is only one block from the 3rd Street Promenade which the hub to much of the shopping and dining locations in the area. Unfortunately, this attracts a lot of visitors to the hotel and so access to the lifts can be a bit of a premium at peak times. Hotel staff were all very helpful and professional and provided useful information on things to do in and around LA. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view to the beach and across the district. All in all it was a great choice to stay there for the six nights.
