The property is just off the interstate highway with a scenic view of the nearby river. Because of its location in the west Texas area, a reservation... is probably a good idea. It's a long way from anywhere to anywhere and can be a bit of a surprise to people who come from more heavily populated areas and may assume the next town is just a few miles down the road. The room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. Because of how the hotel is constructed into the side of a hill, the lobby, which is on the back side of the hotel, is on the third floor so the other two floors of rooms are on the lower levels accessible by elevator or stairs. We left before 7:00 am, which is when breakfast becomes available, so we missed it. I noticed a cooler stocked with microwaveable dinners that could be purchased and heated in the microwave in your room, which is handy if it's too late or you just don't want to leave to go eat. I would suggest to the property manager that employees be directed not to have personal family conversations in front of guests, creating an awkward situation. I would stay here again.
