Great location, relatively clean room, nice staff. After maintenance staff visited the second day, the toilet no longer flushed. Told the staff and it was repaired that day. Would've been nice to have a refrigerator in the room.

Hotel a little hard to find after dark the first nite. Could not read road sign very well. Super location for all areas. First floor comfort near pool. Super. Would recommend to all, and would stay there again.

We were only looking for a place to stay for one night, & it met all of our requirements. We would definitely stay in Red Roof Inns again.

Compared to the high rates in the historic district this hotel is great. I was in town for a wedding and had to drive in and out of Charleston and Isle of Palm many times. The Red Roof Inn was a great location for this. The room was clean and although it did not have 1000 thread count sheets the beds were comfortable and appeared very clean. The front […] desk was helpful sent extra towels with no problem and even got us a group van to travel safe back from the wedding we attended. Very nice little hotel. Not a lot of amrenities but great staff and in a very nice neighborhood.

Old style TV's. $17 to rent a movie is rediculous.

If you just need a place to sleep and don't want to spend a lot, it sure beats camping! The bed was comfortable, supplies were available but limited; rationed towels, thin soap, small packet of shampoo. WIth the exception of the clock I couldn't reset to the correct time, everything worked great including the shower pressure! It was also convenient […] to the bridge, 2 major highways and the park. Great if you need to spend your money on other things. I was extremely grateful to the employee who kindly set aside 2 rooms side by side when I called ahead. Thank goodness for that gem because the overwhelmed employee at check in made it very clear that SHE would not have been so generous. Not sure what difference it made, but helped us out tremendously. Stayed here for 2 nights, very nice place with a great location. Staff was excellent and went out of there way to assist with anything you needed.

We stayed here for two nights so my girlfriend could visit law school. It's nothing fancy but great for the price. The location is prime (downtown in 8 minutes) and the rooms were clean. With other businesses and a set of condos near by, the area felt safe. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone traveling on a budget.

Excellent location, close to center of the historic district. Very easy to leave and return. Price was especially good. Would definitely stay there again if we were in that area.

room was clean. the bathroom area had been recently updated, but the rest of the room had not been. overall it was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep.

This was a good hotel if all you're looking for is a bed. There is no breakfast included. The beds are pretty nice. There are restaurants and other attractions very close, but there isn't anything too exciting about the hotel itself. The room was in good shape, other than a strange stain on the carpet. The hotel employs were extreamly nice. It was a nice hotel for the price. Better than expected. Very close to shopping and resturants. Just didn't realize the brochures for oing things are located in a room next to the office.

It's what you would expect from a Red Roof Inn: It's not the nicest hotel in the city, but it is clean and affordable, and the Kimberly, who works the front desk, is awesome. She told us about Crazy Carl's cab company and was always friendly and fun to talk to.

A little sketchy, but decent enough. The location is good being right off of the highway directly over the bridge from dowtown. My only real complaint is the lack of ammenities like toiletries, and a proper amount of towels. For a cheap night where sleep is the only concern it is definitely acceptable.

No frills-experience. It wasn't bad for a place to sleep at night. Spent most of the rest of the time sight-seeing. No continental breakfast, only coffee (in small styrofoam cups with powdered creamer). Decent restaurants in walking distance. Will most-likely not stay at this hotel again.

Great convenient location. Decent facility: reasonable quiet, clean and safe. Room was spare but comfortable- everythig worked, although the main (and only) window to the world was permanently fogged up and ugly. Otherwise no complaints and a solid value, in my book.

no problems. hotel is a short walk to 24 hr grocery store, a drug store and restaurants. clean, quiet and nice.

went to a wedding tin Charleston and this hotel was perfect for location. Close to Cooper river bridge Bring your own iron and hairdryer there are none in room, not a big deal.

They run out of clean towels very easily. There were no towels in our room one late afternoon when we came back from the beach and wanted to take a shower.

The location of the hotel was convient to restaurants and attractions. The room was clean and cold, but the security latch on the door was missing, the bathroom door hinge was loose, and there were 2 long hairs on the shower curtain. Staff at check-in was friendly and offered options for top floor or ground floor. Hotel (Motel) only had two floors. The room wreaked with smoke that even spraying odor eliminating spray constantly did not make a difference. There was a cigarette lighter and knife found on the floor under the chair. There was dead insects in the bath tub. The bedding […] and electronics appeared to be the original items put into the rooms when the hotel was built. My options when booking the room for one night was to take this room or stay 45 miles from Charleston SC. If given the choice again, I would stay 45 miles away from Charleston. Читати далі

There were places nearby that had much more for the same price or less. It is a motel so the doors open to the parking lot. Lots of noise and no privacy. It was the weekend of American Idol try-outs which made it very busy. No breakfast, not even pre-wrapped danishes or cookies. The breakfast place nearby burned the night we got there so we had to drive […] 15 min to find a restaurant. The cleaning staff took until 4pm to clean the rooms and had no clean towels until after that. On the other hand, pets stay free. The rooms were VERY clean. Some rooms come with a microwave and mini-fridge. The drive to Charleston was not long and going over the bridge was always a treat. The staff was friendly. So, if there is nothing else available, staying here would not be a mistake but they don't offer enough comfort for the price. Good price, good location, but the facility is tired and needs work to improve the overall livving conditions.

The only problem I had here was no ice (due to so may traveler's). Overrall, it was nice and in a very convenient location.

This hotel was very convenient for one to stay just outside of Charleston and within easy driving to many things. It served our purposes however felt a bit uneasy when some older men on the upper floor above us started drinking and hanging over the balcony. The price was right and it was convenient however would NOT stay there alone.

Nice place to stay, but found the room to be very damp. I noticed the carpet seemed damp even with the air conditioning going. This is really the only negative aspect of our stay.

This hotel was very affordable, and the service was great. It is close to everything, but far enough from the main road that you don't have to worry about the noise from traffic. To begin with, both hotel staff working at the front desk seemed friendly. However the man helping us failed to provide us with the same restaurant coupons that his co-worker gave to another customer. Once we received our keys, there was a maintenance worker in our room when we were going to enter. We had been traveling for 9 hours and needless to […] say, we were in need of a restroom. He was courteous, but remained in the room for 10 minutes until he was finished. (I believe he was checking the fire alarm) About 10 minutes into us being settled into the room, I realize that the carpet was wet, even soaking in some areas, so much so that we had to put our shoes back on. My friend called the front desk and that offered for us to change rooms. As we get ready to pack our things, a hotel attendant stops by the room and says, "Oh, y'all already missed the room up", followed by a heavy sigh. Mind you, we had been in the room for a maximum of 20 minutes. The room was not "messed" up as she said, sure, the sheets were pulled back and there was trash in the trash can but certainly did not require her response. So we make our way to the 2nd hotel room and upon entering I test out the carpet and it is also wet. My friend again calls the front desk and they inform her that the carpet had been recently cleaned and had not dried yet. Also, the carpet was wet but it was most definitely not clean. The hotel attendant inquired, "if we've messed up the room". Finally, the third room's carpet isn't wet, but the room has no microwave or fridge and a distinct unpleasing odor. I would only recommend this hotel to people that enjoy rude customer service, nasty wet carpet, and and vagabonds, because that's pretty much who else was using the inn on the night we stayed there. The hotel was so so. The carpets were dirty & the beds were uncomfortable. But the A/C worked great.

Thank you for having such a clean hotel! I like the bathroom floors. I like the fact that there was no clutter in the room.
