"Location was a bit frightening"
The outside grounds were shabby and we had to ask for a different room because someone had definately smoked in the non-smoking room. There was a cup of coffee spilled in the elevator, which was cleaned up by the next morning. I was a little afraid to walk outside after dark.

"Funny smell, overall ok"
overall it was what we expected, although 1 room had a cigarette smoke smell, and the other had a strong chemical smell.

"It's not the Hilton, but..."
if you are a hotel snob you wouldn't be looking at Red Roof reviews, right? We stayed at this motel for 4 nights. It was a great value for the price. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The exalted king (or some such name) included a mini fridge and microwave for just a few dollars more per night. The location is about 10 mins […] from the university/downtown area in a sea of shopping centers. Many eating places around. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint we had was that the wireless internet (free) was at times slow and unreliable. When I told the clerk at checkout she apologized and said she'd call the provider to check the problem. "Nothing More than a Basic Room"
We stayed here as a overnight stop on the way to South Carolina. We requested a pet friendly room that was non-smoking. The good thing about the room was that it was on the 1st floor, for easy parking and loading the car. The bad thing was when we opened the door, you could smell smoke, and it was like they sprayed febreeze to cover it up. The carpet […] wasn't vacuumed either. If it's a pet friendly room, shouldn't they be vacuuming the carpets?? This was do-able for one night just to sleep, but don't stay longer than that. Читати далі
"Unfortunate"
that I chose a night when there appeared to be a lot of unsavory activity at the hotel. There was a screaming argument at 3AM directly outside of my door, which was a little scary. Many of the other guests and the staff seemed nice enough, but I will not stay here again.

The hotel was old and smell. There were holes in the bedspread. There was no tissue in the room. Only 2 towels for 2 adults. The carpet was stain. It was hard to find the office to check in. No breakfast of any kind. I will not stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

Not fancy but a good value.
Staff was nice. The room and decor was old but clean. It was great for pets, as there was a big grass field and lots of safe walking areas. Easy access to interstate. Many restaurants close by. Unfortunately, the WiFi was out and the tech support person said it had been out for 8 days. Not acceptable.

I've always had god experiences here--it's very clean and the staff is really nice--a great value. My only gripe is that the hotel is described on the website as the "University of Tennessee, knoxville" Red Roof Inn. Yes, the University of Tennessee is in Knoxville. The hotel is conveniently located near several stores and restaraunts. The only things that were not as great as I had hoped for were that the heat took a little while to kick on and it was hard to keep the room a consistent temperature. "Value for the money.........sparse"
This is truly a value for the money stop! Easy access to the interstate,shopping, restaraunts......but amenities sparse! Front desk for coffee and the Wifi insufficient.

Everything was great about the room except that they have NO hair dryers in them. I never travel with one anymore because I've never been in a hotel that didn't already have one so I was a little disappointed with that.

Just my daughter and I stayed for a UT event. Very clean room, not drabby or outdated. Felt safe and close to restaurants. Will definitely look at staying here again!

"Right off the Highway"
This was a great stay for a one night pass through on my way to New York. I needed somewhere with outside access so I could store my bikes in my room and had no trouble with that. The hotel is just off the highway and is a very easy entry and exit. Everything was very clean and fresh. The room cooled down very quickly after I checked in and the showers […] are good as well. "GREAT FOR PRICE"
Our room was excatly what we needed. We were in town for the Vols football game so all we needed was a clean safe place to shower and sleep. I lost our key at the game and the staff helped us replace it no problems. This hotel has several restaurants and a liquor store that are within walking distance. Thanks again - - GO VOLS!!!

"Need to tell the TRUTH"
They offer free Wi-Fi but you need to purchase a card to use the wireless.
"Recently updated, but not very clean"
This hotel looked like it had been updated recently with new paint and will finishes, but the carpet was not clean and there was some black mildew on the bathroom ceiling. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly. Also, for a similar price, other hotels offered some sort of breakfast.

The Red Roof Inn UT was an excellent value. I mistakenly reserved a smoking room and they quickly corrected my mistake after I checked in. The room was very nice, recently updated, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel at this location.

The room was in excellent condition. Wish I could have taken the shower with me. Everything was clean and the staff was Extremely pleasant. I accidently forgot my personal pillow. They were happy to keep it for me until I was in the area again a few days later. I recommend the place. Great Value.

We have stayed at other Red Roof Inns before so we were a little nervous but greatly surprised when we opened the door to this one! Looks brand new, very nice modern furnishings, quite rooms. Just really nice and a great price too! Nice safe area with nice food all around. You will go back!!

"Forgot my wallet on the bed"
We were 22 miles down the road when my son happened to stop for gas- even though we didn't really need it. I went inside to pay and discovered I had left my wallet on the bed (it blended in with the bedspread) when I got medication out of my purse. We called back to let them know, and they had it waiting at the front desk after we rushed back! "Not too thrilled"
Although I got the room at a decent price, I wasn't pleased overall with my stay. I had asked for a smoke free room, but when i walked in it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room. We went to question about the smoke smell, they pretty much told us there was nothing they could do. The bathroom had mildew on the ceiling and smelled like mildew. […] We actually were trying to find things to do, to stay out of the room that evening. The only decent thing about the hotel was the water pressure in the shower, but even that wasn't as pleasant with the smell of mildew.
