Modern hotel in upscale neighborhood. Close to Ramblas and Casa Mila. We had them valet our car, which was great. The room was very quiet because of an extra set of pocket doors. Some have noted this is not a 5 star hotel. True, but you aren't paying 5 star prices either. I had a nice room (one of the duplexes)--large with a large bedroom. The location is fantastic--one block from the Passeig de Gracia so it is on a quieter street and two blocks from two of the main Gaudi apartments. It is also two blocks from the train station […] to the airport--quite cheap door to door! Hotel Claris is a very classy yet understated hotel. The interior of the hotel is beautiful and there is a cool fountain. My room was wonderful and very quiet. The staff was very helpful. When I go back to Barcelona, I will stay here.

The staff was very helpful with restaurant ideas. Always willing to help. Rooftop pool a very nice relaxing spot for an afternoon nap and refueling.

better than expected

When I first stayed 5 years ago it was very good, now it has deteriated, the rooms are very tired, compared to to the Om hotel the Claris is 3rd rate, I would not go back.

Very nice, friendly, comfortable and well located.

Great hotel; quiet with amenities and very convenient location. And the rooftop terrace, pool, and restaurant are all first class.

Service and staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautiful. And the roofdeck restaurant was delicious. 5 stars all the way!!!!

Extremely please with hotel. A smaller hotel than some of the surrounding hotels but is as good or better. Room was spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. My husband and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August. The reason we booked this hotel was because of pretty good reviews but moreso because the manager (on Trip Advisor), replied to all reviews (good or bad)... something I haven't seen many hotel managers do... exceptionally good service. We had a couple of issues with our room when we arrived […] at the hotel and further to lodging a complaint at reception, the manager sorted everything out and also left a complimentary bottle of wine, two glasses, bottle opener and chocolates in our bedroom... really really nice touch. Great rooftop bar and restaurant (fab food and service), tiny rooftop pool (only a handful of people could lie around it), good central position, bedroom (Standard room) a little tatty, other hotel restaurant and bar closed during the summer (which is a shame as this hotel needs these)... all in all, although you will receive great levels of service from the manager and most of the staff, this is not a 5 star hotel in my opinion... more a 4 star. But reasonably priced for a central Barcelona hotel (apart from rooftop restaurant and bar - and room service - which is expensive.... closer to 5 star prices... but rooftop restaurant IS worth the money). Great hotel amazing food, great location, great service!!

I read all of the previous reviews when I booked this hotel, and I found that everyone gave it high marks. But when I arrived I found that it was not even close to being a five star. NOt bad but couldn't see why it's a 5 star

We had originally booked another hotel (4 star) which we end up walking out of as it was horrid. We were lucky to find this hotel on hotel.com for a bargain price cheaper than the previous hotel. Staff were very helpful, swimming pool and gym were small but suitable and the room size was nice and clean. Everything was fine. Conceirge Emma was great. Breakfast not handled exceptionally well.

I thought the staff was excellent and was extremely helpful and spoke English well. Rooms were very nice, neat and clean. There were no clocks in the room and I thought the workout room was pretty lame, but overall the hotel really was extremely nice.

Our first time in Barcelona, and the hotel was outstanding. The location is close to everything, yet far from the noise. It was a great respite from all the touring in Barcelona. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. We never "needed" anything. The location is perfect for walking around the city or to the subway. My wife and I staying in the Claris Hotel for 9 nights and did not want to leave. They have a beautiful roof terrace with a small but adequate pool, restaurant and bar. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help not just us but all the other guests. We had friends staying in a very famous 5-star hotel around the corner whose prices were […] substantially higher than our hotel and we found our room to be bigger and the staff much more warm and relaxed. Hotellet har et moderne og fint design. De fire Duplex rommene vi hadde var alle rene og velholdte. Men på tre av rommene var det ikke mulig å stille på temperaturen. Man kunne bare slå av eller på aircondition. Når den stod på blåste den kaldt hele tiden, og temperatuen lå på 16 grader i rommet. Motsatt ble det når man slår den av. Hotellet har god beliggenhet og en vakker takterrasse med pool og restaurant. Det 20 år gamle hotellet har 5 stjerner, men mangler kvaliteter for å bygge opp under dette i service, interiørmessig standard og teletjenester.. Rommene er generelt 2,4m brede og vanskeligjør en god innredning med begrenset plass til senger. Sengene på 1,5x1,8 m er for små […] for oss vanlige nordboere. Trafikkstøyen er betydelig om du har rom mot hovedgaten. Internettforbindelse til egen PC kan kun kjøpes til en meget høy døgnleie. Vi opplevde desverre personalet i resepsjonen som lite servicevillige og bortforklarende når vi ønsket å få til en bedre løsning for vårt opphold. ホテルのロケーションは申し分なく、部屋の環境、施設設備のメインテナンスや清掃状態についても特に不満はない。スタッフもフレンドリーで、接客態度や急な手配依頼への対応もそつなくこなす。ただ、５つ星で１泊の宿泊代を考慮すると、コスト見合いといったところで、とりたてて高評価とは言えるレベルではない。

This is a good hotel. Yet not a five star hotel, more like a four star. The sun deck and the swimming pool is very small. The doors to the rooms are very thin, this makes the sound from the hallway enters the room. The gym is extremely small, four fitness machines and a pair of weights.

ホテルの場所的には最高だった。 部屋は・・・・お風呂場も狭いし、洗面所、バスタブの水が流れない・・・・ 壁にはヒビも・・・・ プールも狭かったし、パラソールもなかった。 レストランのご飯も微妙な感じ・・ なんか全てが残念だった

Ett mycke trevligt återbesök efter 10 år, mycke bra mat samt en underbar atmosfär ser fram emot ett nytt besök om 10 år igen. Helene och Micke:-)

Otroligt bra läge, ett stort plus för pol samt solstolar på taket, inte helt nyrenoverat men helt OK, lite mörkt rum, men fantastiskt tyst, trots att det ligger mitt i city, med tanke på att andra hotell i närområdet kostar mer än dubbelt så mycket så måste man vara mycket nöjd

Mooie ambiance door gebruik van mooie materialen. Luxe uitstraling, waar we ons snel thuis voelden. Dakterras voelde echt als een extraatje. Personeel doet erg zijn best om het de gast naar de zin te maken. Als iets niet liep zoals gebruikelijk is in dit hotel,dan wordt direkt een gratis drankje aangeboden.

Un peu surclassé en 5 étoiles, surtout en ajoutant les petits déjeuners et le parking, d'où l'avis de ne pas le recommander sauf promotion spéciale. Sinon, le personnel est très agréable et disponible, et une personne parlait même le français. situé à 10 min à pieds de la place de Catalunya, donc idéal pour les adeptes du shopping, Ramblas et autres. Flott duplex rom i to etasjer med perfekt beliggenhet og plettfri service. Lydisolert og modern design gjorde det her til et kanonvalg. Fantastisk takterasse med pool og servering og i gangavstand til det meste.

Et flott hotell med super service. Rent og pent og en nydelig takterrasse med svømmebasseng. Kort avstand til Passeig de Gracia og Las Ramblas, i et rolig område. Vi spiste ikke frokost her, men tror nok at maten er like bra som resten. Eneste minus var sengene som var harde. Fint hotell i en fantastisk by!!

Nice hotel but nothing special. No people in the restaurants and no one working on the terrasse - impossible to get something to drink. We agree on the hard beds! Small room with window turning inside the hotel, with the result that the curtains have to be down when you are in the room.

Hotel Claris har mange plusser, men et par små minuser i forhold til hva man forventer. Vi satt blant annet pris på at det var utendørs svømmebasseng. Litt badeferie -litt storbyferie. Minuset var at det kun var 6 solsenger og "kamp" om disse. Sengene var dessuten dårlige. For små, for harde og med kun en fellesdyne - i stedet for to.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel, welches erlaubt viele Sehneswürdigkeiten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Lxuriöse aber etwas unterkühlte Athmöspäre kominiert mit einem zuvorkommenden aber diskreten Service. Einzig die Hotelbetten waren unserer Meinung nach zu hart und die Zimmergrösse eher durchschnittlich. Dafür entschädigt die tolle Dachterasse mit Pool
