Loved my short stay. Enjoyed the real complimentary breakfast. I only wish it could have been a 2 or 3 week long stay!! Only one small problem, I left my phone cord connection plug in the room. Darn!! Not usual for me to forget that kind of thing---my problem. The hotel was fabulous, just what I expected...

They have always been good to me. There free breakfast is nice. Unfortunately, I'm really not there long enough to use the pool and what nots. But it looks inviting and some day I will be there long enough.

This is a wonderful hotel. Great accommodations, wonderful breakfast buffet (complementary}. However, there is a $10 a day charge for internet access. Otherwise, I would have rated this hotel a 5.

This was our first ever stay at a Double Tree Suites. We were delighted to find such a nice place for our overnight stay. We would definitely to stay there again when flying to Phoenix.

I checked into this location on 05/27/13 and out on 05/28/13. On 05/28/13, I went to the pool at 7:45am to enjoy a swim before obnoxious children and adults ruined my day. I noticed that there were no towels. I waited until 8:25am then went to the front desk when there were still no towels. The front desk person was surprised at the lack of towels. […] She made a call to whomever to request them. At 8:55am, I went back to the front desk again because there were still no towels. This time there was a man who seemed to be a supervisor/manager. He immediately called someone and kept repeating "no towels at the pool." At 9:10am, I went back to the front desk and stated to the gentleman there were still no towels. At that point he said they were in the dryer. I still had not entered the pool due to lack of towels. I noted your room brochure expressed the abundance of pool towels. I let this gentleman know my discord with the situation. DoubleTree was quick to take my money for payment PRIOR to my arrival but I was unable to enjoy something I paid for. Towels FINALLY arrived at 10:10am. THIS IS UNCALLED FOR. I was only going to be in Phoenix for a couple days and would not be renting a car so being close to the airport was a must. The Hilton more than met my expectations. Close to airport with courtesy ride to/from airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large (living room with separate bedrm), clean and comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We arrived after a long flight from ct. Being very tired and late eve. Our check in was very fast and clerk very friendly. The room was beautiful and the bed awesome. The breakfast was excellent we couldn't have been more pleased.

Beautiful place, wish we could have stayed longer. Great location, close to airport with timely shuttle, close to the Zoo and Botanical Garden, and close to light rail line to go downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel looks great from outside but inside furniture was a little dated. I didn't like the fact that they had us on the backside overlooking the cleaning bin. Reminded me of a hotel 6 where you walk to your rooms from the outside.

You're in the big city without feeling like you're in a big city. You can relax at the bar, the pool or even your room and not feel trapped. Overall the hotel was very nice and convenient. Room had some maintenance problems including a leak in the sink plumbing and a hair in the bathtub. Service people were friendly. Courtyards and pool our personal favorites.

This was far and above my worst experience ever in a hotel. After we had problems checking in, we were placed in an absolutely filthy room. There were towels hanging out of an open, leaking refrigerator (which stunk something terrible) and stains on the bed. The staff was completely disinterested when we brought the condition of the room to their attention. […] Just an absolutely horrid experience. This was a wonderful experience overall! From the gals that helped me on the phone with the airport shuttle, to the cleanliness of the room, and quality of the hotel... very impressed! The ONLY thing I was disappointed with was the service and cleanliness of the bar and dining room and the attentiveness of the bar and restaurant staff. Our stay was great. All employees were friendly and courtious. Rooms were clean and well cared for, we were very impressed. Rooms and courtyard were quiet and tranquile. The courtyard pool/hot tub area was great. The complimentary breakfast is a full buffet in the restaurant. Free wi-fi in the room. Surrounded by palm trees, the hotel has a real vacation feel about it. We stayed there one night before a flight home. We would stay there again.

I was surprised at the size of the room. Very comfortable, microwave, fridge, two tv's. The shower needs a little upgrade but get's the job done. We brought our suits but didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool. Pool is open until 11pm also which is nice, we were over looking the pool and didn't have issues with noise, probably because the bedroom was […] located on the back side of the building. Continental breakfast is good, hours good, french toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, toast & muffins. All enough to get you through the day. We had requested a non-smoking room. Instead, we were sent to a room that smelled like an old smokey tavern...filled with the stale smell of cigarettes. When I questioned the Front Desk Supervisor, Katherine, the next morning, she admitted it was a room recently converted to non-smoking and that we should have been advised that...which we were not. […] Clearly whatever was done to this room was done on the cheap...not something one would expect from a Hilton affiliate. It takes a lot more to convert a room to non-smoking than a sticker on the door. Any offer of a rate adjustment...any additional Hilton points...no. Friendly helpful front desk, pool is very nice, surrounded by beautiful orange trees, sink was clogged in room, king sz bed and pullout couch were very uncomfortable and room smelled like cigarette smoke. Breakfast included was very good and food-a-plenty.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at the DoubleTree Suites. The location is perfect, close to the airport and centrally located to visit all the attractions Phoenix has to offer. We liked this hotel because it offered everything we needed onsite. The breakfast buffet is great. It includes cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, and much more. We also had dinner at the same restaurant. It was a fine meal at a reasonable price. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We were glad to have black-out […] curtains, so we got a good night's sleep (even though the hotel is near the airport). Although you can hear the occasional airplane, the hotel is generally quiet. Staff members were friendly, and the room was clean. We took advantage of the swimming pool, which was heated to just the right temperature. The grounds are beautiful, with tall palms and fragrant orange trees. The only downside was the walk to our hotel room. We were asked to enter by Gate 5. As you enter, you get a view of the hotel laundry room (the door is wide open), which is not exactly what you want to see when you enter a hotel! Then, we got a view of all the staff cleaning carts, which is another thing that really should be hidden from site. The hotel staff with their cleaning carts take the same elevator as the guests. I know that the cleaners are doing a very important job, but, at really good hotels, they have their own elevator and are not that visible. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here very much. This is a nice hotel, close to the airport. The only complaint we have is that the hot-tub pump is incredibly noisy. We stayed here twice in two weeks, the first time in a room right in the area of the hot-tub. Fortunately the bedroom is away from the noise, but the living quarters are right there, so no sitting with the door or window open.

Hotel is very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant menu is a bit limited but no complaints. I will stay here again.

I was very dissappointed with the how al romm access was from the outside. I obviously missed this wheI reviewed the hotel online. the parking was not convient nor getting to my room. I wouls not stay at this hotel again nor any other Doubletree hotel. Very unhappy. The 4.6 star rating was quite deceptive.
