Bathroom has no air vent. Bathtub and tiles grout has molds. The towelettes handler inside the bathroom is rusty. Every time somebody above my room is stomping or running the dust from the ceilings goes to my bed that makes my bed feel very sandy. I won't recommend this hotel unless it's emergency.

nice place to stay it needs to up date there bed spreads the have been around for a long long time. I would stay there again. didn,t like the check out she tried to charge me again for the room she didn,t beleive me when i told here it was all ready paid for.

Downtown Ottawa, an easy walk to sights and public transport. The hotel is affordable and adequately maintained (occasional paint peeling, carpet could use replacing), warm, clean, and comfortable. Friendly front desk staff. I would stay there again.

Great location and price. A few blocks away from a 24h loblaws and metro. 10 mins to the conference centre by foot. First room I had had wet carpets and smelled like mildew but they quickly let me change rooms. Next room was also quite worn but met my needs. Overnight front desk person was so helpful and friendly.

The hotel was clean, staff was helpful, and the room was comfortable. This experience was excellent value for the price, I will be returning to Ottawa and Days Inn will be on the short list of hotels which I will consider to stay at. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

The actual hotel was ok... but it was worth staying close to downtown and the parking was not too expensive. I'd stay there again for the convenience.

The room was older than what most hotels in the area offer, but it was clean and comfortable. There was a fridge and coffee maker but no cooking appliances (was not expecting one anyway). Some of the front desk staff seemed non-social or serious but they were helpful when approached. Great location as it's a 3 minute walk to Rideau Centre. I recently stayed at the Days Inn Downtown Ottawa with three of my girlfriends for we weekend away, and the suited our needs perfectly (Feb. 1 - 3). It is literally right downtown, we did not need to drive anywhere as everything was within walking distance. We had booked a Two-Queen room and even though the beds were described as Queen, they were certainly […] NOT (they were obviously Double beds). However, this was the only problem we had with our room the entire weekend. There was an issue with noise (drunken hooligans in the parking lot at 3am) and an unexplained fire alarm Saturday evening, but both are things that could not be controlled by the hotel staff. Although this hotel is far from luxurious, everything was acceptably clean and well-maintained. Also, the parking rates are more than reasonable, as I am accustomed to paying almost triple what I was charged at the Days Inn. If you are looking for a great location in Downtown Ottawa, I would recommend this hotel. Читати далі

Only a 15 minute walk to the Rideau Canal which is great in good weather. When bitterly cold a journey too far. Service was friendly and helpful. Good value.

Very clean room, great downtown location, nice flat screen TV, and good free wi-fi internet. The rooms can use a bit of a renovation and the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke but otherwise a great hotel for the price.

Great stay. Would have been nicer if we could have remained in the room longer (ie. not have to leave the room by 11 the following morning). For the price you pay, it provides everything you'd need when you're in the city to sight see.

It was just ok. We had to change hotels because we had to bring our dog to Ottawa for an operation. Our original hotel would not accept pets. This hotel would accept pets and it said so on its web page. What it did not say was that you had to accept a smoking room. We do not smoke. Nice quite clean room. Nice bathroom. Service friendly and efficient. Heating noisy, had to turn off overnight, but room temp comfortable.

A very very worn and dated hotel. Carpets were disgusting and the room itself was adequate at best. Desk clerk was excellent and friendly. Obviously a good location being downtown but do yourself a favour, pay a bit more for piece of mind.

On a personal vacation as opposed to "family". Was reasonably convenient to the shopping and clubbing district "Byward Market", if you don't mind walking a bit more you can get to the Parliament Buildings in about 20 minutes. Neighbourhood is very urban just be aware that many beggars occupy the streets in this section and can be aggressive (I wish […] the city would stop this). Several good public transit routes pass by. The person at the front desk was rude, we weren't told right away there would be NO WATER and we had a party to attend. Horrible service, will never go back.

the staff were very friendly, but the hotel was not the nicest. the beds were comfortable but it was definity time for an update. the toilet tipped when you sat on it and the paint was peeing on the door... it was grreat to be downtown right next to shopping

Room was 'okay.' Good central location and lower price caused me to put up with some shortcomings. e.g. facility is in dire need of renovation. Hallway carpets are lumpy and ripped, walls are dirty, elevator is dirty. Although the hotel room was passable, there was a strong smell of urine in the bathroom and the walls had stains.

This hotel was a great value. Walking distance to the market and downtown. We had great service at check-in/out. It was a little run down and the scent of air freshener in the halls was a little off-putting but we would stay there again without hesitating.

The add states that there is free parking, the staff at the hotel say that they told Hotel.ca to change the ad and it has not been changed. The staff did not care that I believed the parking to be free, I had to pay in spite of the misinformation. Parking is not free. The hotel was adequately clean, no sign of bedbugs, but this hotel has paper thin […] walls, I was serenaded by the sounds of the people next door waking up at 5 am, I got to hear them taking their morning bathroom visit and having an argument. I did not enjoy that. If you are a heavy sleeper, not bothered by noise, this place is a good deal. If you are like me and am disturbed by excessive noise...it is no bargain Читати далі

Really enjoyed our stay. It was walking distance to tourist attractions, 24 hour grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, public transportation. There was construction on the street but the noise was only during the day (when we were always out). The city of Ottawa has done a great job of making the sidewalks easily accessible. Found that the location was close to all the sightseeing venues we wanted to see. A Shoppers Drug Mart across from our hotel was a bonus as they were open until 10:00 PM at night and had everything we needed whether it was a snack, a book to read or cosmetics to buy that I had left behind at home. Given it was one of the cheapest option and thus lower level of expectations, we are very satisfied of our stay at days inn ottawa. Everything worked properly, room was confy enough, great location.

Very well located hotel, right in Ottawa downtown. The hotel is a little aged but the room was clean and well equiped (Iron, air dryer, coffee/tea machine, fridge, etc...). I liked the free wireless internet and the hotel parking for $5 per day for guests when other parkings in the vicinity charge at least $20 per day!. A low frequency hum in the room prevented me from sleeping well. Otherwise, the hotel was adequate and comfortable.

I had a non-smoking room in this hotel. The whole corridor had a stifling smell of cigarette smoke. Carpets were dirty and wrinkled. Room main light was flickering. Overall very untidy hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone.
