Not what I would call a great place.

When we arrived we were told we would have to take a seat and wait as there was a problem with the on line booking and there was a couple that had been waiting thirty minutes. When I was called up to the desk the staff member told me that the online booking company had made a mistake and the rooms were cheaper than they should have been. I was told […] its like someone coming into your house and saying it wasn't worth what you thought it was. Apparently it was supposed to be cheaper if you were staying three nights as opposed to one. I thought it wasn't that cheap anyway as I had booked a Hotel that was more expensive than several others. I feel if there was a problem, which I had no control of, then it should have been between the parties involved and the customer should never have known about it. Discretion is blissful and now my family and I will not stay at this hotel again and will always remember how it felt when the staff member talked to us even though he said he was sorry for being cranky, at that point it was too late and I will not want to stay at a Day's Inn again. Great Hotel, in a very convienant location, malls, zoo downtown. Hotel staff was amazing and went out of their way to help us several times. I would definatly stay here again.

Hotel service was great for the most part. There were many times though where I would have to wait to speak with someone at front desk as it seemed to often be busy there. I did have to return 7 or 8 times to front desk as the key to our room often did not work. I was in Calgary to attend the landmark forum which was held by this hotel so the convenience […] in that respect made it very pleasing. Booked the wrong evenings on Hotels.com by a day.. so I was a day early for my 2 day reservation. Instead of the clerks moving the dates.. they told me to stay an extra day.. nice when you have to be back to work!! Did nothing at all to help... Needless to say I slept at another hotel the first night and then to the prepaid hotel the second night. They […] even had the nerve to ask if I wanted to checkout so they could re-rent the room that was pre-paid... MICKEY Mouse if I have ever seen it!!! Читати далі

Our stay at this hotel was quite pleasant. The location was excellent for our vacation needs. The continental breakfast was excellent. Staff were quite helpful, although when I went to renew my room, the guy at the desk seemed to be flustered and too busy to help me. Overall, our stay was good and would stay here again

Stayed two nights at days inn. Close to most of the shopping malls. Tons of restaurant surround. Staffs are nice. Overall is a great experience. Highly recommend.

The best thing I can say about our stay is that the staff was very friendly. The location is close to many amenities which is nice. Unfortunately, our room was run down and in desperate need of a make over! The granite in the bathroom was a nice touch, but very out of place given the condition of the rest of the room. The parking lot was poorly lit […] and it is not the nicest area of town and I was weary leaving my vehicle out there essentially right next to that very busy street. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the breakfast included. Unfortunately, that was an absolute disappointment. I believe that the only protein offered was the peanut butter. It was an offering of cheap carbs served with styrofoam cups, and plastic utensils. If we were doing anymore than checking in to go to sleep, wake, shower and go this would not have been a viable option. Читати далі

The only reason I'm not giving this hotel a 1 is that the staff at the front desk were super nice. Highlights of my stay included: - dried pee stains on toilet seat (not mine) - speed bumps in cookie monster blue carpeting - being able to hear someone showering in the next room - having a railway crossing with crossing arms and bells right behind the […] hotel (and yes you get to hear it every 10 minutes when the ctrain starts running) - sex toy stores on not one but both sides of the hotel - a cool tv circa 1990 with about 2/3 of the channels that couldn't be watched due to static - peeling wall paper in bathroom that went nicely with the black mold in the shower Читати далі

Good hotel for the price. Unfortunately they are using an unpleasant deodorant in all the rooms. It's a sickly, overpowering perfume that makes me sick. Not sure how they can use that with so many people with scent allergies. Probably wouldn't stay again.

Well, it was hard to sleep after exhaustive working days I had. every day after 1am, some one on the hall-way has to scream and awake me:(

Excellent location (3 minute walk) for fast, cheap and frequent light transit train to downtown meeting venues. Discovered an excellent restaurant 5 minutes walk south ( Seoul BBQ Restaurant) at 4336 Macleod Trail S.W.

The computer never worked in the room. Decent Place to stay overall

The location of this hotel is not bad, maybe not good for a romantic trip, but very colse to Chinook Centre for shopping. Besides, the service of this hotel is good, so if you go for a family trip or short term stay in Calgary, you could consider about this hotel.

Hotel is easily accessible by car, with free parking. Clean rooms will all amenities; excellent free breakfast in relatively large breakfast room. Was good for business stay as free wireless in all rooms. Would definitely recommend again.

Close to two renovated malls. Also close to c-train stations which is very useful if attending a function at the Jubilee, Scotia Bank Saddledome or if you just want to head downtown.

It is close to the train to head into the city, there isn't much but a coffe shop and a McDonalds within walking distance though.

Pleasant enough front desk. No elevator to second floor for heavy bags. Older room with ancient TV. Went into the bathroom and the toilet seat was up, Dried yellow "pee" dribbles around the toilet bowl. If that wasn't enough, went back to the front desk to nicely request housekeeping to clean the bathroom. Told no one was available from housekeeping […] until the next day and couldn't be helped. Found the Staff very professional and accommodating. The continental breakfast included was wonderful. Will definitly stay again.

I have no problem with the Days Inn. The rooms are tidy and ours was quite spacious. Decor is somewhat dated. The continental breakfast was nothing exciting but this is not a five star hotel...you get what you pay for! The beds were comfortable and it suited our needs just fine. My one complaint is with hotels.com. We were not informed that to get […] the discounted rate, our room would be ABOVE THE BAR in the hotel. It worked out ok for us because we checked in late the first night and went out on the town ourselves the next night; however, the music could clearly be heard in our room and someone who is a light sleeper or has children might have a hard time staying there. I feel information such as this should be clearly posted at the time of making the reservation not at the time of checking in. This is an error on hotels.com part, not the Days Inn...beware when booking a reservation at this hotel. If the rate seems too good to be true, there is probably a reason for it. Читати далі

This is an old hotel badly in need of renovations. Although non-smoking now, the room I ended up in clearly is an old smoking room and it smelled very bad of stale smoke. This is a last resort hotel.

Very friendly and efficient service at the front desk, very presentable, pool and hot tub were nice. Free was parking and breakfast was awesome. Also the hotel was fairly quiet. Negatives include the fact that our room seemed to smell strongly of smoke when we had requested a non-smoking room. The duvet was definitely quite worn and lumpy, definitely […] needed replacing. My son and I had a pleasant stay. The pool was a wonderful 82 degrees. My son enjoyed making his own Belgian waffle for breakfast. We would stay again.

Wireless internet rarely worked. Facility very old. Magnetic key had to be redone everyone of the four days we stayed there.

Although the hotel was clean and comfortable, my children were disappointed that the pool did not have a water slide. Also, our room was located over a bar which was not part of the hotel (a strange arrangement I thought) and we could hear music late into the night.

The place was clean, staff were friendly, exeptional fron t desk staff. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in that area.

We had a pleasant one-night stay at the Calgary South Days Inn. The rooms was great for four adults and the breakfast was fantastic. We felt safe walking out at night to have our dinner. Our one issue, however, was with the noise. We were told upon checking in that our room was over the restaurant/bar that shared the building and that there might be […] some noise until eleven pm. We thought that be would be alright. We were directly over the bar and the loud music continued until 1.00am. By 2.00am, all was quiet. I slept pretty well, but others in my group did not. Other than that, it's a nice ordinary hotel and we had a good stay. My low overall rating is because of the bar noise. If you have a room in a different area, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Stayed in older part and had to climb two flights of stairs for first floor. Had to change room because A/C did not work in two rooms. Not impressed with meatless continental breakfast

I had a terrible night in this hotel. The music bar is under one section of this hotel (10 -20 rooms) . It is impossible you can sleep due to loudly music only if you really enjoy the Jazz. Hotel claims that you will be put on these rooms if you book on internet. They ask you sign documents to accept these high noise rooms. Don' t book this hotel on […] the line. If you already booked. The lobby receptionist was a total ignorant abrupt know it all

I would never stay at this hotel again, Extremely noisey on both nights of our stay, beds so old and worn out, both of us left with back pains, pillows that where so old and LUMPY! The loud bar & music that went until 2:00 a.m. (Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights) was our biggest complaint. Even when asking to change from our suite to a regular room, this Days Inn was NOT accommodating. The reason they gave us: Since we booked months in advanced for a discounted rate, ensuring this Days Inn our money, they would not accommodate […] our request. Highlights of this Days Inn: - About 1 mile (1.6 km) away from downtown - Tim Hortons (like a Dunkin Donuts for some of us from the U.S.) & McDonalds right next to this Days Inn - Adequate continental breakfast - Rarely used pool. Good if you like to have the pool to yourself or share with few people. - Rarely used workout room. Good if you like to have the workout room to yourself or share with a few people. This Days Inn is more like a 3 or 3 1/2 star hotel. I would stay here again, but would confirm that we would not be in the same suite. Читати далі
