When we arrived at 4:30 PM to check in, there was a long line that snaked around the entire lobby. I waited in line for 1 hour and 20 minutes before reaching the desk where there were just 2 people working on check ins. The rooms weren't clean so it was taking a very long time for the guests to be checked in. I has reservations for 2 rooms and only […] one was ready. This was Saturday night before the Eugene Marathon and every hotel in town had been sold out for weeks, so it shouldn't have been a surprise. We needed our rooms in order to get rest for the race the next day. There was no reason given, and lukewarm apologies.When we came back from dinner at 8 PM, there was still a line for check in and rooms still weren't clean. We did manage to get our second room at that time. Our room was OK, but the light in the kitchen made a lot of noise when it was turned on and there was a post near the foot of the bed that was easy to run into in the dark. Our friends in the other room had no hot water, so they could not shower before the race, which was quite annoying. The total experience was negative and I will not stay there again. Читати далі

rooms were not ready by check-in time, room a/c was broken, light fixtures came apart, beds and pillows were uncomfortable, management and cleaning staff did not communicate well, the friendliest person was the lady cleaning all the rooms!

Let me start with when we walked into the hallway to our room it smelled, they gave us a key and we opened a room with someone in it, tv going, bed messed, lights on. They didnt see us, we closed the door quickly. Had to leave my older kids waiting with all our luggage as I walked back to the lobby. The guy at the lobby apologized and gave me another […] key. Headed back to other building to get kids and new room. The room was clean for the most part but the bedspread had a big stain and we were so grossed out and wished we had a sleeping bag. Shower pressure was horrible, hot water shut off for 3 hours for mantinence, mateinence guy was sick for 2 days so no fix on the water pressure in the shower but the bar connected is awesome. Bartender is a great guy and don't have to drive to get a few beers and good food

Everything was great in the Kitchenette room. nice sized and clean. All the appliances were old but worked good enough. Better bring a pan if you want to cook stuff in the oven, otherwise you're good to go with pots and dishes. The other clientelle were a bit sketchy but all in all a good place for the price.

It was a kitchen unit with no dishes available to use. It had a coffee maker with no pot. The phone was broken and the shower lever was missing. When notifying staff upon arrival that there were no dishes, we were told that the young man at desk was on duty alone and couldn't help us.

the cleanliness of the hotel and room was very poor. The toliet sounded like a vacum cleaner every times you flushed. The beds were very uncomfortable. The service was so so. I had to request another room because the first one was so bad. I will never stay there again.

Let me preface this by saying the staff were extremely nice & quick to act. However, the hotel itself was disappointing. It was not dirty, but very well worn. The door knob to our room was loose & the key (no keycards here) got stuck in the door on our arrival. Three of us tried to get it out without success. When we tried to call the front desk, we […] discovered the "front desk" button on the phone was not functional. We did reach someone by dialing "O." A gentleman came right up, and after struggling with it for awhile, was able to get it out. He then took that key, leaving us with only one key to share amongst the three of us. The following morning, we had to rise at 5:45 a.m. to get out daughter to her SAT exams & a dance competition at the local high school. Time was tight ... and then we discovered the hair dryer did not work. We called the frt desk. A gentleman arrived within five minutes, and tried to get the dryer working while we tried to get ready. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was waffles, yogurt and cereal which was ok. The room was clean and I think the housecleaning staff did a great job. The rooms and hallways definitely need to be updated. The TV was the older style that didn't work with the cable box. I had to get up and adjust the volume each time and push the button on the TV to turn […] it off and on. The bedspreads need to be updated too. The hallways and rooms could use some new updates including new clean carpet and fresh paint. The price was great and so was the front door staff. The continental breakfast was plentiful except no fruit. The motel is older and not up to date with linens and the walls are very thin, but the price is right.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, after reading the reviews. We had two queen size beds. One was firm and the other was bouncy. Both were fairly comfortable. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. I was completely blown away with the breakfast. The lobby smells of disinfectant; there is no way I would eat breakfast there...even if they paid me to. Fortunately there is a good restaurant next door. The room was cold and stale-smelling. It was November 30, raining and near freezing ... and the air conditioning was ON! It took two hours for the mystery heater (none was in evidence) to warm the […] room to a comfortable level. It was obvious to me that the room hadn't been rented to anyone (not ordinary humans, anyway) since summer. This was further reinforced by the coating of dust on the vanity, toilet seat, rim of tub. The light over the vanity didn't come on until I took off the cover and twisted the fluorescent tubes, and then it was flickery. Nice size room, really hard king size bed, loud forced air heater. A few cobwebs, but otherwise clean. The facility needs revamping, long narrow ugly halls, bad choices in paint colors. The staff was very young and nice, should have them in uniforms tho, way to casual in dress.

Stayed there for a Ducks football weekend. Facility is quite old and appears never to have been renovated; still has metal keys for the door, CRT TV, etc. Clean linens, old furniture/bathroom/etc, bed comfortable. Location OK, near restaurants, shopping. Not close enough to Autzen to walk.

Brutal. We were given a room that wasn't even cleaned. Then, when I called to ask what was going on, I was told that they had cleaned the room, that they had done everything right. And I asked, 'So why am I standing in a room full of strewn bedsheets a shower with used towels and toiletries everywhere that looks like someone just walked out. And again, […] they told me they'd done everything. I got a little mad. They found us another room. That room wasn't sparkling but at 10pm at least we could sleep. It's worth the money to stay across the street at the Hilton Garden Inn if at all possible. Shilo has been a disaster for me previously but I thought I'd give them one more try. Not anymore. Everything is outdated. There's a musty smell all around. There's no fruit selections in the continental breakfast. I would definitely not recommend for anyone to stay in this hotel unless they want to go back in time, like the 70s.

Nice breakfast. The beds were a little hard and the coffee pot wasn't cleaned out, but other than that, it was fine. Very friendly staff.

The airconditioner did not work very well and you could see sunlight shining in through it. There was a bug climbing around on one of the beds. No pool towels available. But the staff was great in spite of it all. they were very helpful.

The stay was ok, but the room and facility was reminiscent of motel 6. My wife and I have stayed at shilo before and this one was sub par to say the least.

Drawbacks - the rooms with 2 queen beds do not have kitchenettes, only a small single cup coffee pot. My husband checked out the continental breakfast and was not impressed. On the bright side -- aside from the coffee we liked their Elmer's restaurant very much; it seems to be a somewhat popular place for the locals to have breakfast. This hotel is old with actual metal room keys and fat old televisions. The air conditioner didn't work very well so my room didn't get as cool as I wanted. I slept well and the desk help was fine. I got ripped off. This motel is awful. Sink didn't turn off, beds were horribly hard, bed spread was stained, could see outside light between wall air conditioner and the wall, strange looking bug on bed near pillow, garbage stacked up outside near dumpsters and pool area, cats going around this area at night, etc. etc. I would not reccommend this place […] for anyone, especially for the outragious expedia price that I got charged!!!! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and the pool was nice. The hotel is near the mall and made shopping very convenient. However, on my last night there, three tour buses full of people arrived and in the morning the breakfast bar was demolished within minutes of it becoming available. The room smelled very musty. The toilet was extremetly short. Overall the hotel carpeting in the hallways looked rundown. The bathroom features were noisy.

The bar of soap by the sink was open (crumpled wrapper left behind) and the sink covered in greasy black fingerprints. Yuck. Beds were squeaky and not very comfortable. Overall seemed a bit grotty. Lots of other hotels right by this one that look much better.

Condition of room and bathroom was terrible. Not possible to have a bath, shower intentionally switched to make round burring noises. AC too is too loud.

Not overly impressed. Seemed a little outdated, could use a deep cleaning of the carpets. Front desk did not let us know about breakfast when we checked in, so we were unsure of times. Front desk at check out was friendly.

Definitely the best by far. We have stayed in many different hotels and this is the best. Amazing breakfast including eggs, cereals, waffles etc etc etc. Fast wifi, most friendly staff. Fridge, freezer stove oven in our room with king bed and pull out sofa bed. Thanks Shilo inn.

The room desparately needed maintaince, the bathroom sink dripped all night and would not shut off, the toilet ran all night. Normally you can always count on Shilo Inn, but I was very disapointed in the maintenance of the room.

Very average hotel. Nothing special. Plus, they jacked up the rates by a significant amount because there were many events in town that night and they knew rooms were scarce.
