Super hotel, excellent services by very friendly staff. I would definetely go back there, and recommend it to others. Comepletly Satisfied.

Very nice piece near the airport it tack 15 minuet about 45 lira turkish ,rum is small but clean and very nice staff helpfully and friendly ,near the blue muskie and truest place ,i was with my daughter we was very happy and vary nice breakfast buffi.you can teak the train from air port to aksarai then change to sultan Ahmed it koster 2lira +2.

Our stay at the Alzer was magic. The location was perfect for sight-seeing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The design of the hotel is quite quirky and kitsch but you wont lack any comfort and you can enjoy your breakfast with a view of Istanbul and the coast.

We booked one night at Alzer Hotel. but decided to extend for our entire stay in İstanbul. İt has the best location for our needs- easy access to tram stop. lots of inexpensive restaurant and markets nearby. The down side is that if you enjoy your morning coffee. the coffee is extremely watered down and tastes more like coffee-flavored water. Housekeeping is prompt and satisfactory and so was check in and check out. Note that if you are sensitive to noıse. this may not be the place for you. You can hear everything in the next room- conversations. the faucets being turned on. footsteps. doors opening and closing. However. if you are a sound sleeper and are looking for a basic clean. and less expensive room located conveniently in Sultanahmet area. this is the place. The staff at the Alzer were absolutely wonderful. I was traveling with someone in a wheelchair and the staff made our stay amazing, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and made accommodation whenever possible. I highly recommend the Alzer--and the location and price were perfect.

A great little place on the hippodrome, the Alzer hotel has a friendly staff who are willing to help at every step of the way. I can't begin to say how much of a pleasure it was to stay there. This is my second trip to Istanbul; the Hotel Alzeer is conveniently located in the Sultanahmed area of Istanbul; taxi fare from the hotel is approx. 40 Turkish lira's and it takes about 20 -30 min to get to the airport depending on the time of day. Taxi driver had a little difficulty in finding the hotel. The hotel is small but ideally located for visits to the Blue mosque and Topkapi palace. Staff were friendly, helpful and the location of the hotel could not have been more perfect. We were able to walk to all the destinations and the hotel was very comfortable, especially for the price! Don't check any other places, stay at Alzer!

Is clean, convience, but a little noise from the main street front door

first the rooms are totally different than what you see in the wesite. they are tiny and the furniture is archaic. view was terrible, lift so small me and my wife had to take turns to use with the baby trolley. THE MAIN PROBLEM WAS THE A/C IT WAS TERRIBLE. THE A/C HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS IT WENT OFF EVERY 30 MINUTES. WE HAD TO CALL RECPETION FOR "RESETING" […] AS THEY CALL IT EVERY HALF AN HOUR. BABY COULDNT SLEEP AND SO DID WE. breakfast was a scare on the face of buffets so poor you better off skipping it. plus so many little disappointments. in a nut shell i wouldnt recommend this misrable place to any one. My week's stay in the ALZER HOTEL could hardly have been nicer. The location is perfect - right on the end of the Hippodrome, quiet but very close to tourist sights & the shopping, eating, & tram line on Divanyolu Cad. . The staff were friendly, informative, & extremely helpful with directions, calling cabs, holding packages, & anything else I needed.. […] My room was small but comfy, with a good bed, good ventilation, working AC, and a new, comfortable bathroom 9with shower but no tub). The building is an Ottoman one (similar to San Francisco Victorians, & about the same age), adapted as a "Special Mansion" hotel. It was not immune to the problems of old buildings (the electricity went off one day, but was promptly fixed), but was comfortable, clean, stylish (a la Ottoman), & well-maintained. There was free Wi-Fi in the room and a computer available to use in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was varied & delicious, & the top floor dining room looks out directly across the street to the Blue Mosque, with Hagia Sophia visible to the side and views of shipping on the Bosphoros beyond - I found myself lingering for the view! During the same trip I stayed with a large group at the Hilton for five days. It had the services you'd expect & much larger, newer rooms, but much less charm and was 3 times the price. The ALZER give me terrific value for money, unbeatable location (for walking to everything), individual attention, & the charm of old Istanbul. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Читати далі

Absolutely great location on the Hippodrome. The blue mosque is 100 meters away. The reception guys are very helpful. They'll show you where to go on the map, mail postcards, and even took us in their car to a real Turkish restaurant in their neighborhood. If you're there, it's a great view at night and I recommend it. The rooms are clean and efficient while not being extravagent or large. The location of this hotel is fantastic. I don't think you'll find a better view of the Blue Mosque than from the restaurant on the top floor. And if you're looking to explore Sultanahmet - the location is the perfect starting point and walking distance from everything worth seeing. That being said, the quality of the hotel and rooms is a small step […] above a motel in the states. Call it antique if you like, but the furniture is just plain old, and our bed was quite uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin, as are the floors and ceilings, and we had the pleasure of being able to hear our upstairs neighbors urinate throughout the night. But once fluids stop, the neighborhood is actually deathly quiet. Sultanhamet is small, so location is not critical. I would recommend one of the many newer hotels closer to the market, or across the bridge in the upscale district of Beyoglu. Careful, Fodors Guide Books are clearly written by backpacking teenagers who are either on the local payroll or have never stayed in a nice hotel in their lives. This hotel is very conveniently located if you just have a couple days in Instanbul. Our first room clearly had people smoke in it recently (despite being a 100% smoke-free hotel). This is a absolutely wonderful location, right in front of the Blue Mosque and 5 minutes walk from the main Sultanahmet area. It would have helped if the hotel had a little more information on the Bosphorus boats etc, but the tourist information is also just 5 minutes walk.

Small hotel in a great location across the street from the Blue Mosque and only a short walk to many of the must-see sights in Istanbul. The front desk staff was super friendly. My room was small but clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was decent.

this hotel is situated within walking distance of The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi castle and the Metro. This hotel is right on the Hippodrom, the view from the 5th floor restaurant is overlooking the Hippodrom and riagh at the Blue Mosque - even a view of the Haiga Sofia to the southeast. The hotel is located very centrally. However it is very dated and much more a 2 or maybe a 3 star hotel. Towels were torn and the bed was very old and hard. Overall not an unpleasant stay, but there are more modern hotels in the same area.

The Alzer is literally right across the street from the Blue Mosque, a location that has its pluses (convenience) and minuses (some noise). The breakfast room on the sixth floor (which requires walking up a flight of stairs, and more flights if the elevator is out of order) has magnificent views of the old town and is well stocked. This hotel has a fabulous location steps from Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Afya Sophia. Room was nice and clean. Had problem with A/C in the room but they immediatley sent someone up to check and then ended up quickly moving me to another room. They let me check in hours before posted check-in time. Never ate here but had restaurant right on site. Breakfast […] upstairs doesn't open before 7am so missed that also as I needed to get to airport. Wireless worked great! I had booked the hotel in the last minute, and I was amazed with the great location, amazing roof view, and also got a very nice service from hotel attendants. They all spoke english and provided a map and a lot of tips to places to go.

If you travel for pleasure and you want to enjoy your vacation with safe mind and good access to attractions in Istanbul, Alzer is one of the best place to stay. There is nice people who are ready to assist you during your trip all the time.

I had reserved six rooms for myself and five colleagues, who were meeting for a week of work on a set of manuscripts. When I got there, everything was in order. One of the group had arrived two days earlier, as expected, and had found no problem checking in. The same was true for everyone who came, at different times and from different directions. I […] had chosen this particular hotel because it has an elevator, and two of the group have problems climbing stairs. It was also located on more or less level land, not up or down hill, and there were numerous restaurants that could be walked to without problems. The location worked out very well and the hotel was well run, clean, and able to support our need for a place to work quietly. That turned out to be the rooftop breakfast space, which we were allowed to use after 11 AM and as late as we wished. Two of my colleagues had brought with them family members, and they were accommodated at a reasonable additional charge for which they paid. The staff was extremely accommodating, Most of them spoke English well, and they were very helpful to the family members who had never been to Istanbul before. The hotel is the only one located directly on the Hippodrome, and although occasionally tour buses would stop outside the hotel to discharge tourists, they did not remain more than a few minutes, and did not present a problem. Csrs and other mopeds are forbidden to use the street outside, so that was also no problem for noise or pollution. The hotel has a restaurant, which is located in the space in front of the hotel, under a roof and enclosed, when needed, by glass sliding walls/doors. The food is very good, but more expensive than in restaurants only a few minutes away,. The breakfast buffet, which is included in the room fee, is large and varied, like many Istanbul hotels. We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this lovely,small hotel conveniently located on the Hippodrome. The roof top terrace affords great views of the Blue Mosque and other sights. They have a great breakfast selection. The staff is courteous , friendly, and very helpful. It's hard to imagine a better experience. The hotel is right on the Hippodrome. It's literally across the plaza from the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sophia. Familjärt hotell med ett perfekt läge nära de största sevärdheterna. Trevlig personal. En välkomnande entre´med mycket blommande växter. Härlig frukostbuffe på takterrassen med utsikt över "Blå Mosken och Hagia Sofya". Ett hotell, som vi gärna återvänder till !

Grundsätzlich kann ich den vorherigen positivenBewertungen nur zustimmen aber ein "aber" habe ich dann doch. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig und es kam in der Nacht durch weniger rücksichtsvolle Gäste doch zu erheblichen Störungen. Ich hatte das Zimmer inkl. Frühstück gebucht; mußte aber wegen eines frühen Fluges das Hotel bereits um 07.00Uhr morgens wieder […] verlassen. Eine Möglichkeit wenigstens einen Kaffee oder Tee zu erhalten gab es nicht. Ich bat deshalb den Herren an der Rezeption um eine keine Flasche Mineralwasser. Was mich dann doch überraschte war, dass ich auch mit Hinweis auf mein entfallendes Frühstück das Wasser in voller Höhe zu zahlen hatte. Es geht mir nicht um die 1,50€ aber wenn ich ein Frühstück zahlen muss auch wenn ich es nicht in Anspruch nehmen kann, sollte eine kleine Flasche Wasser als Ersatz doch wohl zu leisten sein. In spite of located in the very middle of the touristic heart of Istanbul, Alzer Hotel was friendly and personal, like a family hotel. mindre hotell, god service, enligt mitt tycke små standardrum, trevlig frukostmatsal, egen trevlig och prisvärd transfer från flygplatsen

La cosa migliore di questo boutique hotel è la sua collocazione, davanti a due imperdibili monumenti. Le camere non sono enormi ma molto curate e il personale è gentile. Da non perdere la terrazza per la prima colazione e la sua splendida vista. Raccomandabile, anche per il prezzo abbastanza contenuto.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is very good with the major attractions just a walk away. The room is smaller that expected and the hotel is more like 3 instead of 4 stars.

очень удобное расположение, только надо на сайте исправить намер здания при приезде возникают проблемы, номера соответсвуют цена качество, очень плохая звукоэзоляция, отсутствуют в номерах халаты и тапочки приносят после напоминания, но в целом хорошо

Hotel pulito, comodo come posizione, perchè molto centrale, l'unica cosa meno soddisfacente le stanze, un pò sacrificate.

The hotel is situated directly on the hippodrome, which means its in the city centre. Me and a friend didn't have to high expectations on the hotel, the point of a holiday trip isn't to stay in the hotel, but the hotel was excellent, and rather cheap.
