Great location and a lovely breakfast! However, the reception who checked me in failed to mention the wireless connection option.I forgot to ask her this as I had overheard the other guest who was checking in offered this option by the other clerk. I ordered the newspaper which failed to arrive. Rather clinical and unfriendly disposition, hoiwever, […] this changed when I engaged her later on about the surrounding area. A lovely 3 night stay in Windsor at the Mecure Hotel where the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was relaxing and close to everything we wanted to visit. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible because we enjoyed it so much.

Very nice experience indeed, we stayed over Easter and was not dissappointed. Great shopping locations great variety of restaurants and bars. There is a local Waitrose we popped into for snacks whilst out and about. Worth a visit - Enjoy!

Brill for visiting Widsor Castle. Excellent reception staff especially Annie. Very polite.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times in the past and I remember it being a better place to stay. I feel the customer service was great, the bar was great, and the location is very difficult to beat with respect to Windsor Castle. However the rooms are dated and for a decent amount of money you don't get any view. On my most recent stay I was put […] in the building that's separate from the main building (i.e. the building actually on High Street). The walls were paper thin, the window barely opened, the air conditioning didn't work properly, the bathtub didn't drain while using the shower, and the bathroom in general had a very dingy feel to it. There's also no elevator in the other building. I think the hotel is decent but for my money I will probably look elsewhere next time I visit Windsor. Читати далі

The Hotel was centrally located close to the Castle restaurants and shopping. All facilities were provided and nice bar in the Hotel.

Across from the Queen's castle. Great location. Near restaurants. Nice hotel.

The shower in room 430 didn't work. I told front desk staff on two separate occasions and still no water from shower head. Ended up removing the show head bith bike tools in order to take a shower. Next time I will be looking for another hotel in Windsor to stay at.

The reception staff were very friendly and managed to park our car. The drinks at the bar were expensive but very nice. Breakfast was also top notch.

Ideal location for visiting Windsor and surrounding areas. Hotel staff very helpful with room and all facilities very good. Good car parking with staff there to assist you who are very helpful.

Would not recommend because of awkward entrance, shabby carpets, torn lampshades and general lack of cohesiveness. The food service was good and some of the staff pleasant.

Stayed weekend 17th December for a wedding. The check was easy and the lady at reception very pleasant and welcoming. Noisy on the Friday evening as the Banqueting suote was being used for a function and the smokers stood outside underneath our room window. The weather on Saturday was extremely bad and this could explain that our room was not cleaned […] until after 1pm when we needed to go into the room to change for the wedding. Despite us standing by the room door and alerting a supervisor to our problem the young lady cleaning the room was extremely slow and made no attempt to speed up or even just leave us to get changed and come back later or not at akl. As all we really needed were clean towels. But as was foreign adn didn't speak English was hard to make her understand. Apart from this problem adn the lack of hotel car parking everything was good and would recommend the hotel. The food at the wedding was wonderful but be aware that soft drinks are very expensive even for hotel prices. A lime and soda cost me £4.50!!!!! Читати далі

Well situated for sightseeing and shopping. Room was clean, quiet and average size for UK. Good restaurant located in hotel. Good parking.

I love staying at this hotel for it's location, ambiance, & service. Great English breakfast, too.

This hotel is right smack dab in the heart of Windsor almost directly opposite the Castle, the location could not be better. The hotel has a great history and great character though as a result of both there are a few steps that need to be negotiated, which is challanging when lugging cases!

Conveniently located to Castle, shopping and dining. Room clean, well furnished and reasonably priced but for the poor service. Service at the hotel was disappointing. The room lacked AC on a very hot day (87 degrees F at checkin at 6:00 p.m.) but this was not mentioned by staff at checkin. When pressed, they acknowledged the AC would not be fixed that […] day and there were no vacant rooms with functioning AC. When further pressed they said they would look for a fan, which they eventually provided. The next day was even hotter, but we had to ask to be placed in another room with functioning AC. in the category of small annoyances, they were unable to enable us to print our boarding passes (we travel with laptops but not printers) and instead were advised to walk to the local library to do this. Mercure Castel Hotel is situated right near Windsor Castel, you can walk there easily and there is a nice shopping centre it is also just down the street with plenty of eating places to choose from as well. Also the main show ground is near by where the Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Royal Tattoo held every year around May. The railway station is also […] very close. The staff was outstanding at the hotel even though I checked in with no luggage (lost at Heathrow) and very late in the evening. They held my reservation and gave me toiletries and a timely wake up. I only stayed on evening but the hotel was lovely and 10 minutes from Heathrow without staying at a Marriott Heathrow or Shearaton Heathrow or the like. […] Steps away from Windsor Castle, it's in in the heart of Windsor on the High Street and truly picturesque. My wife and I booked into this Hotel as the the reception of the Wedding we were attending was being held there. The ceremony was to be held opposite at The Guildhall so geographically is was in the ideal spot. Whilst I appreciate that parking in Windsor is at a premium I was disappointed to be charged eight quid as a Hotel guest to park my car in the […] Hotel car park. Incidentally the charge went up to twelve for non overnight guests. Having said that the remainder of the stay experience was quite positive. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room clean and comfortable and the Wedding Banquet excellent. We did have lunch in the Bar which consited of two glasses of wine and two chicken paninis which set us back £26 which I thought although excellent was expensive. We decided against breakfasting in the Hotel at seventeen pounds each and found it elsewhere for five pounds each including drinks. Читати далі

Hotel was well situated with onsite parking (which was charged for) Room was a little tired, TV was old and picture very poor. When we got into room it was clean but someone had left a dirty t shirt on bed?? However staff were helpful and bar area pleasant.

Det var ok, da vi havde en konference på samme hotel. Ellers ikke noget særligt, jo - vejret var godt 26 grader i oktober.

Keinerlei Beanstandungen ! Essen (Frühstück, Dinner ) ausgezeichnet. Sehr schön angerichtet und preislich sehr gut. Hoteleigener Parkplatz gratis. Sehr nettes zuvorkommendes Personal.

Vi bodde i "familierom" med god plass (både sovesofa og lenestol utenom sengene). Badet var lite, men hadde badekar med dusj over og var helt ok. Rommet vårt vendte mot baksiden av hotellet og var veldig stille. Beliggenheten er helt topp - rett over veien fra Windsor Castle og like rundt hjørnet fra hovedgaten. En mycket positiv överraskning. Ett underbart hotell, och när man kliver ut på gatan så har man en liten urcharmig gata med ett alldeles snett litet te-hus framför näsan.
