That we will stay there again next time! Loved the view and the biggest thing that made us happy? Great coffee in the morning!!

When my friend and I arrived, the staff was ready and very nice. When we got to our room, there were a couple of housekeeping oversights, but the staff was quick to fix the situation. Kind of shabby. No lock on bathroom door. Shades and clock did not work. Carpet grubby. Our room looked straight out at a brick wall. The pool was the size of a big hottub. I was charged for 3 days of parking, even though I didn't have a car. Breakfast was basic cereal and bagels. It is located right on the beach though.

was relaxing..unfortunatly the weather didnt co operate very well..didnt get but one partial day at beach..my husband is disabled and I just try to get him away at least once a year..i would suggest more handicap parking and it would be great if someone who is handicap could have a desinated spot.but overall, i give the hotel ifself a 4...the elevator […] dropped a few times and was very scary..but the staff was super nice and I would recommend to friends...we,however, hope to be able to afford to come back when weather is better... . The Seaside Inn is pretty run down and the rooms are very dated. When we arrived, our bedsheets were still wet. The guest services was not very helpful. Overall, this is a bad place to stay for the money they charge. The only plus is that it is right on the beach.

Boyfriend and I enjoyed our time there! Very nice Inn, close to the beach :)

For one the bed footboard is to close to the door, everytime we entered the room one of us who bang our knees on the footboard. Second the shower was not draining proper or the sink. Third we were accused of going into someone elses room disturbing them at wee hours of the morning. They said there were 3 complains about us being too loud, which it wasn't […] us!!! And last but not least why would they wait until the next day to tell us about 3 complaints. Why didn't they take care of the so call problems that night??? Previous reviews were VERY mixed, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Let me start by what this hotel is not: It is NOT a luxury, five-star Hotel. If you're expecting 'The Ritz', you've come to the wrong place. Yes, parking does cost extra, but so do checked bags at most Airlines; Yes, some parking is not directly at the Hotel, but if you have an issue […] walking 100 steps across the road, to reach your car, you were probably expecting 'The Ritz'; and I'd refer you to my comment above. Now to what the Hotel IS: It is a perfect beach-side property with quaint rooms. The internet is, at times, spotty and slow, but we didn't go there to surf the internet, we went there to experience the surf of the Atlantic ocean. The beach is soft and clean, and can get a bit crowded by about noon, but if you move to your right past the three volleyball courts and in front of the brightly colored houses, you'll have a bit more room to yourself. The beds are comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave, and the staff is very nice and courteous, although over the phone the staff at the front desk seemed at bit curt; in person, however, they were very accommodating. The Hotel will lend you beach towels, which you have to sign for, which is nice, that way you don't have to pack them yourself. We never visited the rooftop pool - why, when you have the Ocean to play in right there. The continental breakfast is served from 6am-10am right by the front desk, where there is very little seating available. You can either get there early in order to snag a seat, or you can take the food back to your room. Most shops and restaurants on the island are a bit pricey. There is a supermarket within walking distance just across from the main drag (Rt 703 I believe). Just over the connector, however, on the main land there is a Piggly Wiggly (Supermarket) and a Target. A couple of buildings to the right is a Restaurant/Bar called "Coconut Joe's". The location of this hotel could not be better! My only complaint would be that when I reserved a room with a "partial ocean view" I thought it would be from a window inside the room. In order to get the partial ocean view I thought I would have from my room, I actually had to be outside in the outdoor hallway. This hotel was very convienent and great location.

Upon arrival the rooms were much smaller than depicted in the pictures but our mindset was that we were there for the beach and this location is prime. The property is one of the older ones on the island and although the elevator is slow and the pool is small -- the front desk staff and housekeeping staff are among the best we've ever encountered. We enjoyed our stay at this older hotel that has been beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean! The front desk and all the service staff was very friendly! This is a great hotel on the Isle of Palms! Great place for a week-end get-a-way. Very close to excellent family owned sea food restaurants. No traffic,weather is always mild and easy. April and May good months to visit ...Enjoy!

Overall this hotel is good except parking is extremely limited and we had constant trouble with the room key cards not functioning

I would not go again as there was loud music until 2:30 AM from the place next door. Room was dirty and smelled very bad. Cheap yes but not worth the money.

Stayed at this hotel over the Christmas weekend. Price was good, breakfast included. Very quiet with few people. Rooms a little small for two queen size beds. Not much time spent in room except for showering and sleeping so it didn't matter.

Check in was simple, but when we got to our room there were live cockroaches in the bathroom as well as a used, dirty handtowel thrown over the shower rod, the entire room was dusty & the bed wasn't very comfortable... we made the most of it & stayed one night out of our two.

It is located in a great area close to the ocean and in a very nice neighborhood. The staff was really nice and friendly. However, our room was shoddy. Our sheets had not been washed, the drain in the sink didn't work, the microwave was greasy, the TV had very bad quality, our phone didn't work, and there was a terrible smell from the humidity because […] there was a broken pipe in the bathroom wall. We stayed for Christmas weekend. We originally reserved a partial beach view room which was also wonderful but decided to upgrade to full beach view. AWESOME! Rooms are small but comfortable with micro and refrigerator. Our balcony and room looked out over the beach and the waves lulled us to sleep every night. The desk hostess was the best. I would recommend this hotel.,,,..However, the rooms need better mattresses!

We booked a partial ocean view room but were told by the clerk at check in that on-line room bookings are not guaranteed placement. She proceeded to give us a partial ocean view room after making sure we understood that we were not booked into one but that she would do it anyway. (The hotel was not full and we only wanted the room specifically described […] in our booking which was partial ocean view.) The clerk also told us to call the hotel directly to book rooms in the future and that the "best rate" was available by calling instead of using the internet. Nice place to stay for the money. Rooms are small and could use some additional furnishings such as an extra chair, desk, or luggage rack. Most rooms do not have a view of the ocean except from the walkway. Staff was very friendly.

WHAT A DUMP! The room was dirty! Tried to find another room at another hotel, but none found the first or second night. Thank goodness we were able to find one the third night. Shower had mildew, had to wear flip flops in the shower. Found dead bug on carpet. Borrowed vaccum cleaner from front desk to try to clean floor. It was so old it would not pick […] up. Our hotel was located right on the beach. Our room was tiny and our "partial view" of the ocean was not worth it. If you have your window open you cannot see the ocean while on your bed. At midnight the fire alarm was pulled and everyone had to vacate the hotel. After four fire trucks came to the hotel everyone was sent back to their room with no explanation. […] The swimming pool was beyond small, probably about 10 foot long with no view of the ocean. I enjoyed my stay at Seaside Inn, the staff were very courteous. With direct access to the beach, you could not ask for a better location for the price. The room was clean but small but who cares, I was there to enjoy time on the beach.

Although I enjoy staying at Seaside, for some reason, my wife and I were given a miniature, handicapped capable room and I'm not sure why. Had we been there for more than one night, we would have demanded a larger, nicer room. Other than that, everything was great and the Windjammer was awesome as usual.

The only nice thing I can say about this hotel is that it is located on the beach. EVERYTHING else was pretty bad. Not just the room but the whole facility was DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!! The room was SO small - and to be honest the size isn't really the problem - the problem is how the furniture is situated in the room. It makes no sense.There is no closet […] in the room-at least there is a Armoire but it is squished up next to the fridge/microwave/tv stand which it makes it awkard to really utilize it as a closet - also there is no shelving in the shower - not even a place to put your soap- you must reach your hand out of shower to place your soap/ shampoo on a shelf that is directly above the toliet..gross. the cleanliness of the room was awful - thick dust on hairdryer was the first indication of room detail..dirty trashcans..found a hair in between the comfortor and the sheets..faucet had gunk around it..floors were not mopped properly.. etc.. Now lets address the TV in the room - 19 inch big box tv - need i say more. On to the "balcony"- they lied! No balcony! - it's really the walk way that connects all the rooms of this roach motel. Also there is a bar directly next door which is really really loud - luckily the coverband was pretty good because I could hear every word. Over all I am SO disappointed! I wasted my money!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! lsle of Palms is such a nice area and for the price they charge a night customers should get what they pay for - SeaSide inn should be ashamed! The thing is - is this place has alot of potential but if they dont care about their facility then customers will never have quality or get what they pay for. and for the price they charge a night you should at least get a freah clean room with a place to put your soap. For the price is was just OK...rooms small...tv bad reception, small and not a good location. front desk not real accommodating upon check in....besides the fact 4 p.m. is a late check in. Pool is not a pool, it is a big bathtub and dirty. Rooms were OK clean and housekeeping was very nice....beach was close....Just OK....could have been a little cheaper […] for what you got....Probably won't go back to this same hotel. Would rather pay a little more and have nicer stay.....Didn't know. Pics looked good......Live and learn....Plus they charged my credit card even though we had pre-paid and had to wait 5 days for credit card to take off my account......wasn't happy about that and you have to pay to park and the garage only holds maybe 10 cars and all others have to park across the street in the hot sun...... The room had a terrible smell in it. It was way too small for the price. I was told that we had a partial view of the which was so not true. The only view that we had was the block building next door which was the VFW.... Will not stay at this hotel ever again. Dissapointment is not strong enough........

We had a great time in the Isle of Palms. We stayed at the Seaside Inn which is right on the beach and convenient to everything on the island. Service was great, staff was friendly and the rooms were just right. A little surprised that there was no tub...only a shower. Our room was missing the table/tray for the coffee pot and was also missing the lamp for one side of the bed. The only reason we knew they should have been there was because our daughters' room had both and our room did not.

Loved the area. Hotel was fine. However, I did not like added costs of chair rental and parking. Hotel could easily provide both for free when the rates were so high for such small rooms. In future I would rent a condo which would have a place to park or go to Mexico. The girls' weekend was fun though. We got all caught up and had a blast. The pictures they show are of the end rooms. They have sliding doors, their own balcony and are much bigger. Our room was 15' x 15', no bathtub, the TV was small and far away from the bed. We couldn't read anything without standing up and walking over to it. Not to mention the parking. You have to pay to park in the parking lot they own, and it's a […] block away. So after a 6 hour drive, we had to tow our bags down the street and up stairs to the top floor. They had an elevator but the permit expired in March 2010 and it didn't pass after that. It was sketchy and had a hole in the floor so we didn't chance it. I wont stay there again and wont recommend it to anyone I know. Читати далі

This is the smallest hotel I've ever stayed in. Seriously. No bathtub...just shower. This was tough for little ones. Partial view is a JOKE! I got partial view and was on the BACK on the hotel. It is right beside the concert venue...so great for that I suppose.
