The hotel was located right across the street from a half-marathon start-finish I was running so the location from that standpoint was convenient. There is nothing else close to it at all: No restaurants, no shopping, just some of the University of Utah, chiefly the medical center part, which is still quite a walk away. It's a mile at least just to […] Trax if you want to go downtown. The hotel has a shuttle, but it only has a 2-mile radius and stops operating at 11:00 p.m. The staff is well-trained and helpful. The rooms are good but some of the updating was sloppy, especially in the bathrooms. The bed was excellent. Only free wi-fi is in the lobby. I recently trqaveled to Salt Lake City for an event at the University of Utah, and chose the University Park Marriott based on location. My room was beautiful and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was very nice overall. A large event was being hosted in the atrium, and the hotel offered to move me to a different room to escape the noise […] - without me having to say a word. The restaurant was nice and the proximity to campus (plus free shuttle service) was great - but walking to campus or another restaurant would have been difficult. We were very happy with our stay- everything great- the shuttle took us to our concert and picked us up when it was over- too cool, didn't expect that. Beautiful mountain area view from our room, and very clean.
"Nice place"
I would definitely stay there again. The staff was friendly and it's close to the University Medical center. Red Rock gardens is a short (but up hill) walk from the hotel and a must see. It has the coolest children's garden I've seen. There's no shuttle from the airport but taxis are available and they do have a shuttle to take you to local eateries […] and shopping. Читати далі

"Outstanding Hotel"
Beautiful location!! The rooms were very comfortable. The only complaint we had was access to the pool. Unless your room was right by it, you had to walk through the lobby, in front of everyone to get to the pool. But I think this is a minor complaint and the rest of the hotel more than made up for this slight inconvenience.

"Labor Day Weekend"
Wonderful hotel. We would have loved to take the bedding home with us. Very clean, very nice employees. Very quiet and relaxing. The pool area was nice and the balcony outside the pool was a great place to relax and enjoy the serenity. thanks

"Had to pay for everything"
When we checked in we had paid for 4 movie passes they didnt honer that and gave us the run around that we had to go to some webside, when tried to use their computer they said i cant because i have to pay to use their computer when i said ill use my laptop they said i cant because i had to pay for the wireless what kind of a stupid hotel this is. "Convenient and Nice Setting"
Beautiful grounds for an older hotel in need of some improvements. The food service is only marginal at best...never hot enough and very expensive. We made this reservation two months ahead of our business trip and paid in advance for a requested king bed room. When we checked in, the receptionist said that they were so busy they would have to put […] us in a two-bed room on the top floor. We complained and pointed out the advance reservation and payment. After the clerk made a trip to the back room, we were put into the room we had reserved and paid for 60 days in advance. Seems so unnecessary for this foolishness. Returning to our room after a business meeting and dinner the last night, we found a refrigerator had been placed in the room. A call to the front desk caused this surprise to disappear. Читати далі

unmittelbarer Nähe des Campus der University of Utah, was für mich wichtig war. Man ist aber auch über den Foothill Drive schnell auf der Autobahn oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln im Zentrum von SLC.
