Stayed here for a long weekend my cousins. Had the best experience. Staff went above/beyond to cater and accommodate us. Let us check in early, an even held our bags after check out since we had a late flight. View was AMAZING. Footsteps from the beach. Beach service was also great. Apartment was accptable, balcony was a disappointment, 2nd bedroom was meant to be one large bed however 2 king singles that were meant to connect but they did not, no assistance from hotel/reservations/ housekeeping. I paid for the ocean front suite a month before I traveled to miami beach. And I had a very bad experience about staying in this hotel! What I booked was a ocean front suite and I paid a lot of money for that, and what the hotel gave me is not the ocean front room, and I tried to talk to the hotel manager and she said they are full and not able to change […] the room for me! And her attitude was really really bad and made me so mad, and she did not even mention any compensation for my stay, instead she said what I can do is I have to stay in that room only, NO OTHER CHOICE!!!! My 20 month old grandson was walking around the apartment in bare feet and they were absolutely filthy after just a short time. Went here for a weekend with 7 close friends. We got 2 suites and had a great time. The rooms are big and great for groups. The hot tub is also big and great for groups. I definitely recommend it.

Churchill Suites offered a rental apt. unit, not a hotel room with hotel amenities. We had the penthouse oceanfront 2 bedroom apt. It is a Time share hotel with no services at hand like concierge. There was no office staff on saturday/sunday. No cafe in house,we had to go to nextdoor hotel for food,concierge etc. I would not stay or recommend anybody.

We had a studio for our reservation (25% ocean view) when I booked the trip in October and I had asked for an upgrade if an ocean view room became available. Wine and […] cheese on the balcony every night before dining in one of the many great restaurants in the area--all of the restaurants in the Fountainbleau were off the chart--and within walking distance. The hotel has been sold and after October who knows what the place will be like. As for the next 10 months--great rates and you are in an area with great restaurants and fantastic beaches. Cost per day on the beach is $25 for an umbrella and 2 chairs. We walked down the beach and it was $35 per day. So find the right guy with the good rates! You are in "north" South Beach but the boardwalk which is the length of South Beach allows you to run or walk for 4-5 miles down to "south" South Beach where all the action is. However, in The Crown, you are away from the insanity and just a short cab ride from all the action. The rates are unbeatable compared to the hotels next to The Crown. It was everything I wanted. Some complain about minor things like scratched furniture but if you can't afford the perfection (and price) of the Fontainbleau and want the conveniences of a condo, this is hard to beat.

This "hotel" is more of an Extended Stay location. There is no "lobby" but a front desk, so for anything you will need to do (print boarding passes etc...) you will be directed to the hotel across the street. Also, people are living in this building so they are coming in and out, walking dogs, etc.... The Churchill Suites staff are in from 9-5, any […] issues about your stay/ reservation had better occur between those hours. The furniture in the front desk area is worn and stained. The carpeting in the hallway (I was on FL 7) is streaked with stains. The room was called "ocean view" but you will not see the ocean from your room, but from standing at the edge of the balcony of your room. The shower water does not drain properly so you're standing in a pool of water the entire time. The good thing about this stay was the building staff (which do not work for Churchill Suites but for the Crown Building). He (Raul) was very pleasant even in dealing with our disappointment. overall..apartment nice, hotel location great., we checked in around 7:30 pm with no problem. the valet parking guy had a key for us and checking in and checking out went smootb etc.. etc.. so. no problem with the staff. cleaning personel delivered fresh towels on a daily basis. nice access to the beach. a few things though i would like to mention: […] beacuse of the lack of parking space in that area be prepared to spend $18 every day on valet parking; the building needs updating: old wobly faucets, bed headrest was shaky so gave all sorts of noises. i actually could hear all sorts of noises at night from next door aprtment and my 12 year old son was asking me what it was so i had to come up with some story:( the headrest hitting the wall thing was the worst:((( and cleaning personnel might do a bit better job! It's not a hotel, but rather an apartment building that rents rooms. The rooms were nice and spacious; however, the VCR was broken, the blinds were broken and there is no operator to call. The fact is that it is not an hotel in the usual sense of the term; it is a condo building with a number of hotel rooms. Personnel are only there from 9 to 5pm which are presumably hours that guests would spend out of the hotel. If as in our case, your toilet blocks or housekeeping did not provide you with needed supplies, you will not get these issues […] resolved in a timely way. You will be leaving messages on an answering machine and hope for the best. Btw some of these issues, were never resolved! The most visible people at the front desk are the valet parking staff but those helpful individuals do not work for the same company. From the moment we arrived the two guys at valet were sitting just looking at us arrive never once asked if we we needed assistance . We had to literally approach them and ask if they were valet and if they could help us. I was about to cancel because of the service. since I think there partly owned apt they don't have room service and its a headache to reach anyone for extra towels .We stayed only one night and I was debating on coming back the following weekend with my family because the apartment is perfect for family but when went down stairs to checkout we had to relive the bad service !having to push our cart put our heavy bags in the car ourselves it just made the dision clear for me ...NO!! We enjoyed our stay only about 3 miles from lummus park. Good boardwalk and bike rental nearby. Room nice bed comfy. A welcome pack would be nice . Ie milk and sugar. Ocean view blocked a bit by side building so just missed the sunrise. Overall a comfortable stay. Is not really a hotel. More like serviced apartments. .. This is a condo hotel, in other words, the building is the "Crown Condos" formerly the Crown Hotel, and Churchill Suites operates within it, leasing condos as vacation rentals, but does not own it. I believe that those who previously described disappointment were unaware that this is a contract condo. That said, it is an excellent choice for someone […] looking for a clean, safe self- service experience. I work in the safety field so my first concern is always the safety of the building. This is a secure building, I never felt unsafe here. Also, the fire strobes and extinguishers looked up to code. This is a really important issue in a building this old, something people usually dont think about until the arrive. The kitchen was nice and sparkling clean. The condo was spacious with a good wifi signal. The view is awsome, my advice is pay the extra 20. and get the oceanfront rather than the ocean view. I really loved it. It is an oasis of serenity just north of the party zone. There's a market and deli across the street, but if you dont want to pay fifteen bucks for SPF, I suggest Walgreens over the bridge on 41st., an easy walk. Latin Cafe, Dunkin donuts, ATMs, and Carabbas grill is next to the hotel. I get the feeling not all condos here are created equal. But I cant complain. The staff was excellent. Overall, I am pretty happy with my stay. It is not a hotel, so don't expect that kind of service level. I was staying 13 days and on day 1 I notified the staff that the bathroom exhaust fan did not function. They told me they would get it fixed in the next day or two, but upon my departure 13 days later it still didn't work. None of the cleaning staff […] spoke English, so it was impossible to get them to do anything for me. They did not vacuum the carpets even once during my 13 day stay. I did see them prop the door open with the vacuum once, but they did not use it. They put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher each day, but forgot to run the machine three different days. Also, they used regular dish washing soap on another day, which created a huge mess for me to clean up. There was never hand soap provided in the bathroom, and after the first day they stopped providing shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The cleaning also happened very late in the day, usually between 2-4 PM. This wasn't a big deal after day two, once we knew that would be the schedule. The parking & valet service was reasonably priced for the Miami Beach area and their garage is very close by so the car was almost always available within 10 minutes. The valet staff would become overwhelmed in the early mornings, evenings and weekend nights, and would become testy under the pressure, but overall it was very good. We only stayed one night. Nice room. Not really a hotel...more of an apartment building. That was a minus since they didn't have a concierge or big staff for help. Good location and pretty balcony view of the beach. Was very nice to have your own washer and dryer in the room.

I was There on my honeymoon was a lil disappoint because when I booked with them thru Expedia it's was not specified that ocean view and ocean front views were two diff things.. It never gave a option for […] us to pick ... And unfortunate I had ocean veiw room from the side .. It was more like building views wit a bit of the ocean.. I spoke to the guy in from desk very nice guy.. He said they didn't have any ocean front veiw apartment but will let me kno if something became available but I will have to pay a lil more.. But nothin ever did... All I wanted was a nice lil romantic place where I can have dinner in the balcony and look at the ocean ..
