The only thing we can complain about, is that you have to pay for Internet.

The hotel is located on top of the Marina Plaza shopping mall, in front of the Esplanade theatres, nearly on top of the Esplanade metro (MRT) stattion and in crawling distance of a whole range of bars and restaurants - couldn't be any better. The building itself is a triangle with an enormous trapezium atrium in its center, served by a set of 6 elevators, […] 4 of which have an open view on the atrium and not for people with a fear of heights. The rooms are big, clean, and of the quality level of a 5-star hotel, with all amenities you can think of. All rooms have a balcony to the exterior and some with a view on Marina Bay. We also used the in-house Peach Blossom Chinese restaurant which was excellent, both in terms of food quality and in terms of service; they fully deserve all the 2010 and 2011 awards on display. The only set-back of this hotel is the time-consuming and ineffective check-in and check-out at reception. I stayed here also a year ago and since then things continue to take 15 minutes waiting for a 2-minute check-in or check-out. There are no dedicated lines meaning there is a jumble of customers with all sorts of issues assembled in front of the reception, many of which getting (both now and in the past) angry having to wait this long in a 5-star hotel. This is bad service operation management which can be easily remedied by introducing dedicated queues, as anyone who has completed their hotel school can tell you (and I do hope that the hotel management can remember their textbooks). This is the second time I stayed at the hotel and like the first time 3 years ago, everything was great. The only one negative that I can think of is the cost for internet connection is high in my view. Great hotel overall ! Philip.

Ideal hotel for ITB Asia or any other trade fair at Suntec city. Excellent service, convenient location.

Marina Mandarin Hotel is in excellent and convenient location. Hotel has walkway link to Marina Square shopping, MRT, Suntec City and food court. Bus stops opposite hotel to Marina Sands. This hotel was refurbished 4 years ago. It is in a fantastic position, walking distance to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Raffles Hotel. Everything about the hotel was exemplary and the direct access to the shopping malls was very desirable. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. A good 5 star hotel.

This hotel has some excellent friendly staff, would definitely stay here again.

Singapore is expensive make no mistake about it. A shopping and food mecca for those who can afford the high life. The Marina Mandarin is a great hotel but I wouldn't call it cosy. It is a huge hotel and all the rooms are based around a central atrium where they hold shows and have entertainment during the evenings. It was difficult to sleep one evening […] hearing the singer down there until midnight. There is excellent security using their key for the elevator and many security personnel were around. Our room was excellent with good views of the new casino and I felt it was luxurious and taken care of. Service was discreet, newspapers at the door every day and complimentary water as well. They also put fruit in our room on the first day. Breakfast is expensive at the hotel some $30 per person if you paid at checkin but later if you paid by the day it became $40 per person. Good quality food however but I am not sure that it warranted the price but we were on vacation. The dining areas were quite crowded and small sometimes making it seem as if we were all in each others way at the buffet. Swimming pool excellent, clean, huge and very pleasant to be out there. The gardens were also very well maintained. The only draw back for me was the traditional single bird in a cage which the Chinese do and the hotel had a number of them on the fifth floor singing their hearts out. I can think of nothing worse for the birds sitting in a dark, very air conditioned building for ever.This hotel also linked to others via walkways, some air conditioned and some not. There were many restaurants, cafes and food stores all in these areas. Just bear in mind that Singapore is expensive due to the fact it has to import just about everything it uses. Fantastic hotel to stay at. All staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful in every way. The room was very clean and spacious. Would certainly stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We stayed 2 nights in September 2011 at Marina Mandarin.It's a huge hotel, nice building in a great area. Good news is that there is an MRT station next door, and I should say the bed was comfy and clean, and we were fortunate to get a great view. But (there is a but!) everything is so old fashioned; It reminds you of movies in 1980's.The hotel definitely […] needs a renovation in every sense (especially the carpets and the bathroom). Yet, if you're not looking for luxury and just want a comfy bed only for nights and a good location , it's your hotel. BTW, be careful when booking the room and make sure it comes with breakfast! Excelllent hotel...could not fault it!!! Had a wonderful time here. Great service, great room (Upgrade) great location. Excellent value for money.

While not the most economical of stays, it did everything I wanted. Check in / Check out easy and they held my bag for me as I had a while until I needed to be at the airport.. so more sightseeing could be done with ease. Would have to say that the pool staff stood out the most for their positive and friendly attitudes. Clean with nice decor. Location […] perfect - I got the MRT from the airport to City Hall and a short walk through the mall and I was there (cost one pound!). Direct access to the mall and a Starbucks as well as all Marina activities incl concerts and light show over the Bay. The Marina Mandarin is one of the few hotels in Singapore that has an excellent lounge on the check in floor where guests can sit down and relax and also conduct meetings. It is mid range , affordable and five star service. Woudl strongly recommend it.

Has everything a good hotel should have. Room/bathroom are in very good condition. If only they can package Free Internet with the room, it will be a big plus for the guests at little cost to the hotel. For example, we bought internet for very little use on some days and didn't buy, but would have been more convenienced if we had access to it for short […] durations. It is a dilemma when on a holiday to buy or not to buy, because one does not need it much but can do with it. Booked a room at the Marina Mandarin at the last minute. Was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded me to the Club level on the 20th floor overlooking the marina. Wonderful room with a spectacular view.

It was good although the hotel was a bit old. I was impressed with the swimming pool views. The hotel is also near the Singapore world class entertainment: shopping, casino, and the Singapore icon.

Check-in : 22nd July 2011 We were lucky we got upgraded from a deluxe room to a Meritus Club Room located on the highest floor of the hotel. The security is good, every floor requires you the scan your room key before you have access to that floor. The room is comfortable and cosy, toilet is big and really clean! The best hotel in the area and if you look at the others which make up the area (Pan Pacific, Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton) also the cheapest. Set in the Marina Square mall area, hotel is across from Suntec City, and very close to all the major tourism areas. All are walkable within 5 - 20 minutes. Food, Service, Rooms and Staff are all excellent. the only complaint i had was that the wireless network was very slow and was only available in 6 hour time slots.

Our stay at Marina Mandarin was outstanding from check-in to check-out. Great rooms, excellent service, and handy to great shopping makes for a great place to stay.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. Excellent modern room. You can access Marina Square mall from the hotel and then walk to Millenia walk and Suntec from covered walkways. It's also only a short walk to the Singapore flyer and across the footbridge to the Marina Bay Sands.

Marina Mandarin was a wonderful experience from the doorman to dining staff and front desk all were very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself has a serene and relaxing feel and is beautifully appointed with all amenities spotlessly clean.The view from our balcony was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location close to Hawkers Markets,Riverside cruises,Clarke and Boat Quays and Flyer.Lovely views from window across harbour.Very relaxing pool area.Would definitely stay here again

No complain about hotel and rooms, but all extra services are toonexpensive. SG$22 for 24h internet is not acceptable, same cost for wifi in the lobby

Both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Marina Mandarin, so much in fact, when we went out we could not wait to return to the comfort of our room on the 21st floor and enjoy the wonderful views. On check-in, we did upgrade to the "Muritus Club" level for a very reasonable rate and with the benefits that were included, gave us that higher […] level of luxury and comfort that made our stay even more pleasurable. We have visited Singapore many times and will continue to do so, a wonderful place to holiday or stop-over and once again, our stay at the Marina Mandarin Hotel does Singapore, and its guests, proud. check in was no problem. Upon entering the room, there was a very strong paint smell, we were told that they have just put in a new coat of paint. The light bulb at the bed side was not working. Request for a DVD player was met with no response. This is more of a 4 star hotel than a 5 star hotel.

We were more than pleased with the location and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.The room was of a good size and very clean and well serviced.

This hotel is still as good as it was 10 years ago. Well situated near the marina make sure you get a marina view room , highly recommended. Balcony would be the best place to see the formula 1 in Singapore. very good accommodation, can only say nice things

Service was excellent and the staff was most helpful. Great location, easy access to the MRT and many of the city highlights. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Singapore.

Overal quite a nice hotel. Sadly and stupidly they charge for WiFi and even worse they charge per device which is insane. For the rest it is ok. I like the swimming pool, but not the charges for a drink or some food. Some rooms are more up to date than others. But the WiFi situation is almost a deal breaker for me.

Very nice hotel. The room was great. I'll stay there again.

Nothing to complain about except they charge for Internet access, not quite as good as the Pan Pacific which is next door.

Overall this hotel met our expectations. Loud music from a function (wedding?) on the Saturday night was intrusive in our room late into the evening despite us being on the 13th storey. Prices for tea and coffee in cafe on 4th storey unreasonably expensive - this took the edge of the Mandarin Marina experience. Otherwise our stay was fine.
