I always like this hotel, it's always clean, the Internet works well, nice indoor pool, the front office supplied ear plugs when my other half snored too loud, no more drinking for her. :) Parking is always a challenge here but it they took care of us well.

It was so enjoyable. The people from the front desk, kitchen helpers, parking, and maids were warm and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The service people did a great job keeping it clean and updated. The location was downtown--close to everything

My sister and I took my 7 and 4 year-old on a mini-break. The hotel was great for families or anyone really. The breakfast is terrific. Eggs, Sausage or Bacon, Pancakes, Cereals, Toasts, Muffins, Fruit, Yogurt. Pool nice too with kids. My kids were loud and rooms seem to be quit sound-proof. Close to Seattle Center, which hosts the Space Needle, Science […] and Experience Music Project museums, the Children's museum and the monorail that takes you downtown. Pike's Market and the Waterfront are a short taxi drive away. The Emerald Grill next door has great kids menu and good food, drinks, happy hour. We would order take-out there for kids and then grab appetizers and a bottle of wine for us and go back to the room. It was nice. Also, cable went out in the middle of the night and they compensated us by taking a $16 movie off our bill. Very pleased. Would stay here again. Читати далі

Good location

I paid $10 for parking in the hotel garage. I found a space shortly after checking in, but when I returned after an errand, I couldn't find a space in the garage. If they charge for parking, they should make sure they don't overbook it.

Very helpful staff, clean room and comfortable bed and fabulous breakfast! Lobby furniture a little tired, but rest of hotel in good condition and maintained. Our room was on the street-side of the hotel so it was noisy, but we got used to it and enjoyed our stay. Neighborhood seemed a little dark and I would not feel safe walking by myself after dark. […] My husband and I walked everywhere, so if you are physically up- to-it, I think you'll enjoy the hotel location. Friendly staff and great location. Close to DT Seattle and easy access to the local FWY's. The complimentary breakfast and free WiFi is nice for business travelers!

Pretty much everything is good. The only improvement I can think of is that it would be perfect if there was fridge and microwave oven in the room.

The only real complaint I have is that I had a flight that landed early in the morning and I know that hotels have late afternoon check-in times so I killed a few hours before going to the hotel to see if I could check in early. It was about 11:30 AM when I arrived. I walked in and the lobby was empty and the man behind the counter didn't even greet […] me but he made eye contact. I said that I had a reservation that day. He looked at the clock on the wall with a less-than-friendly expression on his face. I explained that I knew I was early but that I was hoping to check-in early since my flight had landed early that morning and I wanted to get settled in and rest a bit. He then asked for my name. He did accommodate me and I was allowed to check-in early so I was grateful. I did not, however, appreciate the gesture. Otherwise, the staff at the front desk, both times I called, was very polite and friendly. The housekeeper who came in to refresh the towels and bathroom items was very sweet and kind. The hotel pool and free breakfast made for a great stay.

This hotel had a great location, was in walking distance of everything we wanted to do see and eat. On top of it we had easy access out of the city for work purpose. The Free breakfast was yummy and served in a very clean enviroment!! The staff at the front desk were awesomer and very warm and welcoming. We asked them for their opionion every night […] we were there for where to get great food. Needless to say we didnt have a bad meal the entire time we were in Seattle. The place hooked on to the hotel had a great menue if you need a quick meal! I think it was called Empire Grill?!? Great Mac and Cheese!! I have been to too many Holiday Inn Expresses and the brand has become one of my favorites but this one wasn't as good as the rest of them! It is old and not well-maintained! The breakfast wasn't as good and ... But still for this price, it will do! however, can do much better!

I've stayed at various hotels in the Seattle area but usually you have to choose a downtown hotel that is rather pricey, a Seattle Center/Lake Union hotel that's a bit run down and scary, or a moderate hotel further out (like at Sea-Tac). The Holiday Inn Express is a good compromise - in the Seattle Center neighborhood, good price, good amenities. […] Like the suburban hotels you can expect a good continental breakfast in the morning,and free wireless internet. Parking is $10 a night - not free, but it is in a secure, gated underground garage. (The parking is odd to access, the entrance/exit is in an alleyway, and you must use a room key to open the garage door.) Half the rooms have a view north across Aurora Avenue and at the Space Needle; the other rooms view the alley between the Holiday Inn Express and the Holiday Inn (presumably a sister hotel, but a separate facility.) So it isn't the Edgewater or a downtown high rise - but at night it was quiet. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was mostly good (the eggs weren't so hot, but everything else was good). The biggest drawback was that despite Seattle Center being close - to walk you had to detour four blocks just to cross Aurora Avenue. After a business conference in Seattle, my wife and I were looking for a place to stay that was closer to Seattle attractions and less expensive than the pricey conference hotel. I chose this hotel because I like to stay in HI properties due to Priority Club membership. It was a short walk to downtown - just one 1 mile - and also to the Space Needle which I had a clear and rather striking view of from my room. Staff was great.

During the first weeks of December we stayed here and during our full second night my 2 year old pulls out a half empty beer can from underneath the bed. Problem is we don't drink so it had to be there from the day before. Cleanliness people !!!!! How can you miss something like that.???? the Hotel did refund me a partial night . but would never, and […] will never stay there again. A free night would not have been enough. We chose this hotel for its price and relatively close location to downtown. It is a short walk to Seattle Center. The beds were very comfortable, there was a nice selection of breakfast items, and we were able to park our rental car there for a reasonable price. I would stay there again.

The parking was pretty expensive. You probably want to park in one of their garages as the area seems a bit dangerous.

The hotel is somewhat tired, but a good value nevertheless. The front office staff was very helpful and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was not bad and is definitely an added value. Very convenient to the Space Needle and the monorail to downtown, which is less than a quarter of a mile walk to the market.

This is a great hotel and I would stay here again. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel called the Emerald Grill. Just keep in min that the kitchen closes at 10 pm but the bar is open until midnight. My only problem with this hotel was that there was a small cockroach in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was clean, breakfast was great […] and the location is only about 4 blocks from the space needle. Third time Ive stayed there and it has all the basics, bith for work and vacay...breakfast was a little hectic, but expected...room was fine, I stayed with 6 yo son and was a tad disappointed games were $6.95 each, so I stuck to free games on ipad...wireless internet was handy....pool as a bit chilly, but nice to have for children. Front Desk staff were very helpful and this hotel is well located.

Recently stayed here and did not rent a car and mainly toured downtown and Seattle city center by foot. Looking on a map the location is nice in comparison to the city center but it isn't a straight shot as you have to walk west a couple of blocks to Denny street to be able to get across the aurora highway towards city center. From city center the monorail […] is very convenient for reaching downtown. If I were to redo my entire trip I would most likely have gotten either a rental car or stayed at a hotel actually in downtown itself as the activites and sights to see in city center only really take up a day if that. Space needle, EMP/SFM, and Duck tours can easily been done in a day there. Also this really only pertains to those who dont use a car while here. My fiancé and I didn't really feel safe most of the time while walking in the surrounding areas. Be prepared to run into a lot of people who run out of gas and need money if your walking the street. Again it's not really the hotel's fault but something to consider if your going by foot everywhere. Читати далі

first cleanliness was not a priority in this room, washroom floor was dirty; then the bed was not as comfortable as one would expect for the rate paid. Alsowhen we left, my wife forgot her PJs and Housecoat on the hanger in the washroom and when we called to request them being returned to us, we were told by housekeeping that they were not found HOGWASH […] !!! they were rather expensive so they conveniently disappeared....that is what happened! We called management to request they investigate, left a voice message and they never returned our call. so my recommendation is to stay elsewhere................ Читати далі

This hotel was definitely overpriced for what you get and the neighbourhood that you are in. The rooms are small and there is no fridge or microwave. The underground parking is fine if you have a matchbox for a car and it fills up fast. If you are late you have to park across the road in an abandon lot. They still charge you for parking although it […] is lowered to $5. We didn't get broken into but we were lucky! The hotel is close to the space needle and pacific science centre but for us we wish we had been closer to Pike's market instead as this was the area that we went to the most and it was quite the hike to get there. The hotel was walking distance to the Space Needle, close by eating establishment, gas stations. Room was very nice, clean, next time I will up grade to queen size beds.

It was perfect for what we needed. Close to space needle. Not to far from Safco.

Nice hotel - the employees were helpful and polite. I called down to find out about having pizza delivered and asked about the place I was going to order from. The young women indicated she could recommend 2 others that were better and offered menus. I was very satisfied with the pizza we ordered from her suggestion and the price was the same as the […] place I had found in the phone book. The room was clean, the beds were OK (I prefer a softer bed.) Breakfast the next morning was good... scrambled eggs, bacon, several types of bread, english muffins (they have 2 4-slot toasters), pancakes (they have a machine that makes them for you!), several kinds of fresh fruit. yogurt, coffee, tea and milk and all the condiments you might need. The room was very clean, the hotel is close to downtown. The staff are very courteous and accomodating. The price is reasonable with complimentary breakfast. I would definitely recommend the stay to anyone going to visit Seattle.

Very comfortable, staff extremely helpful & courteous. Could walk to the free bus ride section of Seattle. Breakfast was included which was a bonus. Not impressed with the Holiday Inn (not Express) dining section although I believe it is being renovated or redesigned.

It was nice enough, the pool had some maintenance thing going on for a couple days, we ask for the car service and surprisingly the hotel carried through with 1 of the 2 appointments for that. It's very close to the water and shopping around it. It's good. Average.

Just a short walk to the Space Needle...but a longer walk into downtown. Breakfast was good, although it was very crowded and there wasn't enough seating for everyone. The beds were comfy, room was clean. The staff were very helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and thought the price was great for the quality.

I'm usually a fan of the Holiday Inn Express hotels. This location in particular was a horrible experience. From the time of check in, the gal was new and untrained without supervision so needless to say a SLOW process, to the key not working when I finally got up to my room, to a frenzy of kids running back and forth above my room from evening to early […] morning. And if you thought that was the end, forget it, it got worse. My morning was an early interrupted sleep with the kids at it again. You'd think they 'd be exhausted from the night before. Headed to the gym where the limited cardio was out of service. And then the breakfast room - crowded with hungry families, probably the kids starving from all that running.. were filled in the seats and line for food. Finally I get in a piece of bread in the toaster and yes you guessed it, it gets taken from an impatient guest. Needless to say I checked out as soon as I could. This is a good hotel. I wouldn't have expected anything exceptional, but for a Holiday Inn Express I was impressed. The only issues I had with the hotel were that you had to pay for parking. Also, I had some issuers trying to get into the business center to use a computer. It seems like it is a busy hotel and there are only 2 computers available. While […] I waited (for an hour and a half) I peered in the room to see if either of the people were finishing up and found a staff member chanting on facebook. Wasn't too please about that. On a better note, the breakfast is pretty good. Better than some other Holiday Inns I have stayed in. The location was very convenient.
