"Better than average."
I expected the hotel to be average. It was better than I expected. The hotel staff was friendly. Best free breakfast I ever had. WIDE range of quality food. Everything was convenient. The only complaint was the roll out portable bed was soooo uncomfortable. They need stronger springs and mattresses. "holiday Inn Express Johnstown PA"
This is an old Motel 8 that has been nicely rehabbed. It is in fine condition. The staff on duty were very helpful with directions. They were pleasant to work with. Nice stop for those going to U. PA. Johnstown
"Good Basic Hotel Stay"
The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was there if you wanted it but was not what i would consider high-quality food choices. Two of the fitness machines didn't seem to work. Overall, it does the job and the location is good though it is a bit pricey for what you get.
"Excellent service"
This was an emergency stay as we had hit a deer on a highway about 50 mi. away. We were towed to hotel as it was late at night. Staff was very helpful in assisting us to get a rental car (gave a ride to rental agency) and coordinate getting our wrecked car to body shop. We really appreciated their help. Close to campus of U of Pitt-Johnstown and to Windber with great place to eat Rizzo's Easy to find the incline and the City View restaurant from there and Westmont is an interesting neigborhood with art fair in early Sept.
"Great Place!!"
If you are going to the casino, this place can't be beat! For a first timer to Presque Isle Downs you get a $10 credit, and for staying at this location you get an additional $7...basically $17 for free! Also, you are right next door to McDonalds that you get a voucher for a free breakfast there. Those are the perks...the down side is the location to […] get to the beaches or Waldameer. The mileage is not bad, but the traffic is when turning on to 90. We were in and out through the weekend, and there was not a period of downtime that made the traffic die down. "Great stay!"
We had a nice stay here while visiting family. The breakfast was great and the hotel is pet friendly. The receptionist when we checked in was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants for dinner. Overall, very nice staff.

"Good basic hotel"
Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly except the breakfast lady who seemed a little grumpy. I liked the easy free wi-fi internet so i can use my ipad and my son could use his ipod touch to connect to the internet. Would stay there again.
"Overpriced for the quality"
Room was uncomfortable. The linens were very scratchy - not what you'd expect at a hotel. The bathroom was clean but there were several stains in the tub.
