Staff was nice. Hotel was clean. Did not like being charged 12.95 a night for internet access in my room. I also did not like the water bottle for $5 bucks.

My family & I had a pleasant stay @ Doubletree. We arrived early was checked in with no wait. Staff were courteous & helpful with directions. We were busy during our entire stay so the amenities were not utilized. We would stay there again.

It was a great room and the location is close to the Path to take to NY City. We've stayed there several times. I'm still disappointed that it is so expensive to park the car.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is very close to the PATH station which allows access to the city relatively easily. The room was clean and the staff was VERY nice and helpful. There is a shuttle available til 430PM during the week which travels within a mile of the hotel , which was great. The only downfall was during our stay […] the shuttle was privately rented on the Friday so we were unable to use. Also when we made the reservations, we booked a room with a convertible couch, however didnt recieve it in our room. Also, we were told parking would be $20 a day, and it ended up being $25 a day. Neither of these are deal breakers, but slightly irritating when you are expecting one thing and getting another. Overall, I think we would use this hotel again for a future NYC stay. Читати далі

Rooms and hotel were nicely decorated. We had a King suite with pull out sofa. This room was too small for 4 people. Bathroom was small and the way the room was divided, you could not hear one TV for the other. Restaurant was too expensive and no complimentary breakfast offered. Front desk personel were awesome. Very knowledgable.

Our stay lasted one hour. The room was not what we had been told it would be. The front staff was unhelpful. After an angry exchange about a refund, the manager agreed not to charge us for the advance booking only when we got stuck in the elevator as we were trying to leave. The DoubleTree in Times Square is terrific, and that is where we headed.

We chose this hotel because of the extra space available as a suite and the pull-out sofa. We checked in around 10:30 PM with our kids. When we arrived in our room we opened the sofa to find the famous Doubletree cookie smeared into the sofa cushions and crumbs all over it. It also still had the sheets on it from a previous guest....pretty gross. Since […] it was so late and the kids had to sleep we informed the front desk the next morning and they didnt convince me that they even cared, it was more like they were used to this issue. We had some issues early on during our stay, but once I brought them to the attention of the manager everything was handled wonderfully. The concierge staff was great to work with, and having an on-site car rental was a real bonus. We stayed Thursday through Monday, but only needed a car on Friday and Monday, and they were very accomodating. Room was […] clean. Heat didn't work at first but was easily fixed. The easy access to trains, both to Hoboken and to the downtown Manhatten areas was priceless, especially for a first time visit to the city from 2000 miles away. There is no shuttle service from the airport, which meant a heafty cab fair that wasn't expected, but overall our stay was pleasant, and I will consider this property again if we return to the area. Close to Newport mall. But after 10:00 pm there is nothing around. The room is clean and large. Close to the PATH to WTC. You can get to Manhattan in 20 minutes.

Wasn't to happy with the lady who was parking car at the valet was very disrespectful told me to hurry up and make my mind up with valet or self park but the room and everyone else was nice

No hot water and front desk didn't answer phone multiple times over an extended period. OK, so a valve broke in their plumbing but it would not be too difficult to grab an additional staff member to answer the phone while they were dealing with people at the desk.

The bathroom light was insufficient. The bar closed too early. However, those are really unimportant considering the close proximity to NYC. I’d probably stay there again.

I stayed in the "penthouse suite" which had 2 double beds and pull out couch. Great for five people and plenty of space. It was about 2-3 blocks from the Newport path station which was convenient. I would definitely stay here again...and you can't beat the complimentary cookies when you arrive!

as you can tell by my overall rating that i am completely satisfied with our stay. the sevice was hands down the best i have had at any hotel in the ny area. location is only a stones throw away from holland tunnel which takes you right into the heart of nyc (only variable is traffic of course) and also only about a 10-15 minute drive (or cab ride) […] to hoboken. the room was extremely comfortable along with a great view of nyc skyline. room was clean only complaint would be the bathroom which had water/dark brown marks all over walls and some of wallpaper was starting to peel off. staff made our romantic getwawy just that with roomservice that was on point and also the restaurant housing the special treats that were custom made for us. btw dont ask the front desk for a cab... cab was ridiculously over priced for ride 2 miles away...better off hailing one right out front of hotel for better more speedy service Читати далі

MY stay was good, always love Double tree, but felt a bit let down this time around. The room seem rather small for a King Junior suite, thought comfortable, just seems a bit small. Had a few other Issue, I didn't report them since I was staying one night, and i was barely in the Room. IN my room we had a broken closet door, the lights on bot sides […] of the bed were not working, possibly needed bulbs replaced. I would never use this hotel again nor would I recommend it to someone else. Even if we pay a high rate for the room, they don't even offer free wifi, we were charged for the two bottles of water in the room when we checked in. Great stay! This hotel is very convenient to NYC. We stayed in Jersey City and took a quick subway ride to Manhattan on both days of our weekend visit. The hotel is spotless and the service was excellent.

Nice location. Just 400meters from "the path" to Manhatten. Self Parking is 25$ plus tax. 3 nights approx. 87$. Overall a great hotel if you want to go to Manhatten.

Normally I do not do reviews but this hotel was special and deserved one. Staff in hotel where superb and special thanks to Edith and Felix. They really went that extra mile to help make our visit special. Hotel very clean and rooms spacious. Ideally situated with 5 minute walk to Path station that takes you New York in about 10-15mins. The service […] normally run 24 hours a day. Newport Mall same distance with large selection of stores and a very good food court. We ended up doing a lot of our shoppping at this local mall . There is also a good selection of restaurants on offer in Newport. Would never stay in a hotel in New York again as this one in Jersey City offers so much more and you pay less. Also so quick to get into New York for $2.25 or less if you buy block of tickets. We will certainly book this hotel the next time we travel to New York.. Читати далі

This hotel was beautiful. The room was huge and the service was great. They were very military friendly as well and comped my Internet access and my breakfast for two. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, really couldn't fault a thing the staff were great, really friendly and helpful and when ever my partner and I needed some help they where brilliant. The rooms were always kept really tidy, my partner said the bed was the most comfy bed he has slept in. The location is great it is 5 minute walk to the PATH and 20 mins on the PATH from New […] York which was perfect as we found New York so busy so loved just being out of the city. My partner and I went for a helicopter ride does cost around 185 dollars but it is well worth it for the views you get. We had several complaints: stained carpet, clogged sink, dirty microwave, smoke smell in room. Manager, Felix, was very apologetic and assured US they would do better on a future visit.

The hotel was clean. What we don't appreciate is the help of the staff. We came back from NY at 10:30pm and our key card didn't work so I went to the lobby, and I had to wait 10mn because the woman at the lobby wanted to finish with a check in. But to have our key, it takes 2 seconds. So I told her I have 3 kids but she absolutely didn't care. And then […] she acted very badly. My husband went to have more towels, she went behind the lobby and she did nothing. So my husband waited for another person who was busy. When he came to help us, she suddenly was here and said I take care of him. How people at a Hilton hotel can act like this ? Next, time I will try courtyard. And yes, one more thing the price per day for the parking was really expensive. 25$ per day and you have to add the taxes 4$. So next time I will try a hotel in NY because if you count the price of the hotel and the price for the car. It wiLl be better to stay in the middle of NY. What is good is we were not very far from a Path. But be careful there is a war between people who work in the NJ Path and the people who work in the NY metro. Extremely friendly service from everyone! Room was clean, close to everything, easy commute to NYC, reasonable, good to kids. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will plan to stay when I visit NYC again!
