Hotel was very nice but the walls were very thin. Could hear conversations of people in the next room and they were not loud.
"Great location!"
I went to Charleston with my husband and daughter for one night. It was a quick trip to see the musical Wicked and we wanted something in the historic district. You just can't beat the location. Walking distance to everything including the aquarium. We ate at Hank's for dinner which is right by the hotel and it was great. We also took a carriage ride […] which you can catch right at the hotel. I wouldn't say the hotel is luxurious, but it was nice and comfortable. We stayed in a 2 room suite. It was 2 levels. With in walking distance of all attractions. Rooms were very clean. We had a great time at this hotel.

"Doubletree Hilton in Charleston, SC"
The WIFI wasnot very good. Service kept cutting off. Our room size was smaller than our cruise ship rooms. We could barely walk around the bed with luggage. The room was way too small. Very clean and convenient though. I would recommend it, but warn them about the size of our room.

The only problem was the complicated procedure to turn on the TV. I had to get hotel staff to turn on the TV for me both evenings. Apparently they had a new system and one had to go through several setup screens to activate the TV.

Internet is not free. So you get to pay for parking and internet. I try to stay away from the nickel and diming.

We couldn't have picked a better place. The staff was friendly and the parking staff great! We didn't have to drive anywhere....we were in walking distance of EVERYTHING. It was AWESOME. My ONLY two CONS are:it would have been nice to have a small refregerator in our room. And of course price...it was a LITTLE steep BUT I would NOT hesitate to stay […] again....just maybe not a freqent as I would like. :-) Читати далі
"Double Tree Charleston"
The location was perfect! You park your car and never need it until you leave. Plenty of shopping, dining and attractions within a short walk. The room was nice and spacious. We had a bedroom with two beds and a separate den area with a small frig. I would definitely stay there again.
Had a great time in Charleston. The hotel was in the PERFECT location! Highly recommend it and Scott, at the front desk, was very helpful with dinner arrangements and suggestions Enjoy!!

"Great location but disappointing rooms"
The location is great, close to everything and the hotel lobby is nice, staff very friendly & helpful...but, the rooms were average at best for the price. Not 3 1/2 star quality, more of 2 1/2...couch was very dated and worn, very low ceilings and small bathroom...beds were comfortable, but small...for the price I had hoped for a much nicer room, but […] the location was great and the service was good. "Bug Bites"
The day after our stay my daughter had a number of what appeared to be bedbug bites. We made an effort to go to the front desk to show the bites which they examined and they subsequenty said that the person who treated the rooms had gone back twice and he could find no bugs. The only explanation they could give was that my daughter had been bitten through […] her jeans by mosquitos in December in downtown Charleston and that despite the fact that they looked like classic bedbug bites with terrible itching, that was not what they were. That did not stop the extreme itching my daughter had for the next week or our concern we would drag the bugs home. After that the hotel did not respond for help. Читати далі

"Double tree in historic Charleston"
dated TVs and not much cable service. Uncomfortable love seat/sofa in "living room". Very comfortable bed and clean. Poor service in onsite restaurant. Felt they were "stingy" with cookies, in comparison to other double trees who treated us with such fun. Great location for all Charleston.

Everything was fine except that when we checked in, our bed had obviously been used since it was made. The top sheet was balled up at the foot of the bed ( not tucked in ) under the comforter ( which was spread out as though the bed had been made ), and the bottom sheet was obviously badly soiled. Maid service promptly acknowledged and remedied the […] problem when called. I feel the problem was an unique anomaly, and would not happen again. "Doubletree-Great location for history buffs"
Enjoyed being able to walk to so many places. Did not use our car until our return to the airport with a sidetrip to Drayton Hall . Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety for the health concious as well as those who desired Southern comfort food style breakfast items ; bacon and grits. Somewhat disappointed with noisy guests in the hall and some […] street noise but pleasantly surprised with the loft style layout of our room with two double beds. "DoubleTree Hilton"
The room was nice, however the AC had stopped working during the night and had to be serviced the next day. Maintenance was right on it! I did not like the fact that there wasn't a light switch in the bathroom (located outside the bathroom) because the bathroom is in the sleeping suite and turning the light on disturbs the other sleeping person.

The staff was very friendly and professional, and hotel location was wonderful. Gave the car to valet and did not need to get again until it was time to depart. Shopping, food and fun all in walking distance and east access for all tours in the area. Found this hotel on Hotels.com and booked based on the reviews. They were spot on. Hotel was beautiful and in the perfect location to walk to most everything! Would definately stay here again.

Outstanding location, walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see in Charleston. Room was was clean and jr. suite was perfect for our family. Bed was very comfortable. "Convenient, but needs updating"
The hotel location is perfect for walking around downtown Charleston, however, decor was dated and not fresh. Room layouts were Ok, but carpet, curtains, etc really need to be changed.

this was the perfect hotel for a casual stay in charleston. I was there for part vacation and part business. Every single member of the staff was helpful and and very friendly. Great value - very comfortable - great location. Would stay here if I came back!

The hotel was great, staff very friendly and everything was in tip-top shape. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everywhere in the Historic District. It would have been nice to have a swimming pool to help contend with the summer heat and humidity.

Courteous and helpful front desk staff. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Cookies were excellent!
Room was great only drawback was the loud party people in the courtyard at night so if you get a suite ask for one off the courtyard!
