The location of the hotel is super. Staying just across the bridge outside of Charleston was actually perfect because our vacation was affordable and extremely quick/easy to get into the city or to the beach.

Solid bathroom floor was cracked, tub floor sagged.

I had no illustions on the quality of the hotel based on the price. But its very centrally located and room was clean. What else do you want - ambience - then pay 100.00 in mt pleasant

The hotel was well located but then so are the other low budget hotels that surround it. The Masters Inn was much more rundown than I expected and frankly off-putting. The room was just about clean but very shabby and the bathroom floor was sticky. The towels were almost useless in terms of both size and absorbency. Good location, just across the Cooper River Bridge from downtown Charleston. Good price. Our rooms were old and smelled strongly of air freshener. The iron and hair dryer had been removed from our room; management brought us a hair dryer on request. Entrance to rooms is from outside, which I didn't think would be a problem till the people outside our […] room returned from their bar at 2:30 am and continued their very loud celebration till about 5. Management did call police on request; they said from their office they can't hear what's going on in the rest of the property. If that's the case, then they need to patrol routinely, because being kept up most of the night ruined what would have otherwise been a tolerable stay. Читати далі

There were ants in my room on the bathroom sink.

Overall it was fine, the rooms need a little more attention and should have all the things they say they provide. The people around our hotel room was very loud and partied all night and that was a really big problem that we had.

The exterior was quiet dirty. The bedspread had a hole in it and wasn't clean. The bed was hard. The people staying at the hotel for the most part were a little rough. Very loud due to soccer team. However, we knew from the price it wasn't going to be very quality.

TERRIBLE!!!!! I was kept up all night by a frat party outside my door!

Charleston is just a five minute drive from the Masters Inn. It is a no frills, economy hotel that lets you spend more dollars dining and sight seeing rather than investing in a room. The Masters Inn was quite satisfactory for our visit.

The saturday morning desk clerk was very rude and unfriendly. First impression of the motel was very negative because of her.

Called a cheap motel, and it is. However, the room was clean, the sheets were clean, real close to the bridge into Charleston SC. Definately would stay here again.

I have stayed at this location several times over the years. It is very convenient. Just cross over the big bridge and you are downtown or go the opposite direction and you can be at the ocean at the Isle Of Palms in about 15 minutes. I was looking at staying either at the Masters Inn in N. Charleston or this one in Mt. Pleasant and fortunately I made the right decision. For the cheapest price in Charleston I had already prepared myself for a less than pleasant stay but I was actually quite comfortable for the two days I stayed in Charleston. The only real complaint that I would have is about the linens. There were no towels in our room and when we went down at 11:45pm to get some, they weren't dry, were told that they would deliver them. There was an inch gap around the door, we felt itchy durring the night like there may have been bed bugs, and you could here everything in the next room and what was going on outside.

We needed a safe, inexpensive place to lay our heads down after a long day of sightseeing in Charleston. No frills, no fancy "stuff", just the basics of a hotel room. We saved money to enjoy the town! If you want a "resort" with amenities because you are going to hang around the motel - stay somewhere else!

It was good to stay there for some nights, it was cheap and you get what you expect for that money. It is a basic hotel, which provides everything you need and the location is perfect to between Downtown and Isle of Palm. Unfortunately no breakfast was provided.

Cheap price = cheap motel. With all the construction, the drunken crews taking advantage of the weekly rates were almost as intimidating as the shady looking guys hanging out on the balcony. Not comfortable for a woman traveling alone AT ALL. At least have shampoo in the room if I have to listen to the guy next door puke for 3 hours...

Great Stay for the price. Cant beat it. Good location as well

The hotel was in a great location surrounded by many different food options and just minutes away from the market in charleston

The motel was near the interstate. It was clean. The motel is in a safe area. It is a good bargain for the money.

We were supposed to stay 4 nights only lasted one!

Was convenient to Charleston and was OK for the price. I just needed a place to grab some sleep. No amenities to speak of but you get what you pay for. DO NOT STAY at the Masters Inn in North Charleston. Bad neighborhood and lobby filled with what looked like druggies and their friends

There's a reason it's the best rice in town. Slamming doors woke me many times throughout the night.

Hotel was good for the price, the only thing that was bad was we had a phone in the room but it wasn't connect nor did it have a alarm so we couldn't get a wake up of set more alarms other then on our phones. The staff was helpful and friendly. Will stay their again of back in the area

The hotel was great for the price and the staff was extremely courteous.

The room was clean and comfortable and it was close to the hospital. But, the room phone did not work, the dead bolt lock on the door did not work, and their was no HBO even though we had a HBO book in our room.

I liked that I could bring my 2 little dogs with me and I'd leave them a note of what I wanted towels and whatnots and they'd leave it for me on my door. The room itself was not super clean, but it wasn't bad for the price and location. I'd go there again if I needed a place on a budget.

My room was clean. The service staff cordial and helpful. Definitely a reasonable place to stay, considering the low price.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. It was so bad that we thought about sleeping in our car. We made the reservations thru hotels.com & when we got to the hotel, the rooms were not ready. They stated they were understaffed so the rooms hadn't been cleaned. We waited 1 hour 25 minutes before locating a manager, who was not even in the hotel! […] At one point a woman came running out of her room screaming to call 911. Three cop cars, and a manager later, we had a room. Surprise..it was filthy. Dirt in the tub, stained towels, water damage on the walls & ceiling, dusty, dead bugs laying on the window sill-inside, broken window, stained sheets, etc. We notified the manager, who said they never cleaned that room. (we knew that) They apologized and "upgraded" us to a king. This room was not any better. Bugs (live ones this time) tiles lifted up in bathroom, stained towels, just about the same problems prior to the "upgrade" only now it was a king bed! We did not sleep well(thinking about the bugs crawling around) and we showered with shoes on. We also slept fully dressed. The light at the end of the tunnel was that we were departing for a cruise in the morning. Читати далі

Bathroom in room obviously had not been cleaned good in some time. Bathtub was dirty, dirty bathroom floors and linen was not white as it could have been. Like they used the washcloths for cleaning also.

The front desk need to smile more, as if they are not happy in doing their job. In addition, I feel that Master Inn need to do a little bit of upgrading or brighten up the color a bit, make it more friendly.
