If you're looking for a great central location near all the beaches, this hotel is a great value for its price range: good parking; near all beaches in Parksville and Qualicum Beach area. You can go south to Nanaimo and north to Campbell from here. Clean, comfy room with courteous staff. Within minutes from good dining. We will be back.

The hotel is located in a nice area, there is mini golf across from the hotel. The beach is in walking distance. The room was very cozy and the staff is very nice. My only complaints are the placement of the toilet paper roll and no switch for the bathroom fan. Overall wonderful place to stay.

This Hotel has tones of potential but,maitenace is not on there top list.Outside needs to be painted and landscaped,the back of the building looks to have been forgotten for a lot of years. Inside could be nice if they updated the carpets and furniture.

was pleasant with cosmetic upgrades even though air conditioning in rooms- conditioner needed upgrading- very noisy when turned on no control over fan in bathroom hallways were musty and muggy ( summer visit) breakfast- needed staff to oversee products more readily- always out of coffee!!

This was a great hotel. Therate was comparable with other hotels. The staff were very friendly and willing to help at any turn. There is a hottub and pool (although the pool is really geared for kids at only 3ft deep). There is wireless access and it actually worked, someting I can not say for other hotels I have stayed at. The Travelodge Parkville offered us a clean and quiet room, friendly staff, and self serve breakfast. Very good value for money. We will definitely go back.

Clean, well run, good breakfast, close to the beach. It was all good.

Nice location - Parksville - plenty to see and not far off - Coombs and Cathedral Grove, sandcastle competition is very neat. beach is lovely - lots of shells to collect, ocean very shallow for a long way out during day. Friendly and efficient front desk, clean and comfortable room, standard 'continental' breakfast. If those are what you need, the Travelodge is just fine.

The hotel is next door to all Parksville has to offer. My family and I found the hotel to be very clean, if a little dated. The pool was great for the kids and the kid in me. They offered us a breakfast bar with cereal, toast and jam, beagles and cream cheese and hard boiled eggs. Coffee, tea and juices were also offered. I tried it all and was pleased […] with all. I stayed in the hotel to visit a dear friend who was seriously ill. (5 nights). after 3 nights she was transfered to Victoria. I was told by Holels.com They would refund my money for the last 2 nights . The hotel said NO. they would not and had one excuse after another. Very sad situation, no sympathy at that Travell Lodge

Very pleased with this property. No fear in coming here again. Travelodge has a dubious reputation but this hotel was managed by friendly staff, the rooms were very comfortable, the beds are clouds and the continental breakfast was the usual fare. Parkesville is a resort town with the main attraction being proximity to the beach. This property is across the highway from the beach and parks so kiddies must be controlled to and from these areas. The property seems newer, and is rated here for what it is, a clean, spacious room with good parking and also for being located very near the town centre […] for shops and restaurants. A short walk gets you anywhere you need to go. The hotel is on the old Island Highway so there is ready access to anywhere up or down island. One item came up. The third level, curiously, has only elevator access (sadly only one elevator from the lobby) but no stairs from the second level. I'm sure it meets code, with stairs at each end of the hallways on all levels, but is is inconvenient for the able bodied and impatient to not be able to just run up the stairs from the first or second floors. The access from the Northbound lane of the highway into the property is obstructed with a boulevard, making you go past the property and get into the southbaound lane before you can make a right turn into the lot. The beach directly across the road from here is covered by two hotels. Getting to the beach past these other properties is not obvious and you would have to walk a block to the South to gain public access to the beach. In any event, walking South is a good idea because the beach is rocky and not sandy for some distance. We stayed at this hotel last weekend and were pleasantly surprised, espeically given its star rating. Everything is very new, comfortable, and clean. The staff obviously takes a lot of pride in this place; both the rooms and the common areas were almost sparkling. Trevligt ställe med bra frukost. Parksville har inte allt för mycket att se, men är en bra mittpunkt på Vancouver Island om man vill ta sig kors och tvärs på ön! Bra hotell, bra frukost!

The hotel was comfortable and friendly. The hotel was simple, clean and comfortable.
