Loved the whirlpool tub and when we arrived was asked about anything special because it was my girlfriend's birthday. It was Ryan I believe at the front that was able to hook us up with 2 free drink cards (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
"Nice hotel"
Room was clean and comfortable. We were disappointed at the temperature of the pool and hot tub. The pool was freezing and the hot tub was like cold bath water.
"Total Pain to Stay Here"
My room was not clean at all the bed had hair on it and I asked for a crib for my son and the mattress in the crib was all ripped up so I had to go to Walgreens to buy a blanket to cover the mattress. Then I found hair on the bed so they gave us a different room and gave us the wrong keys so i had to go back to the front desk and get the right keys […] and mean while I have my son and all our stuff with me. I get to the new room it was smaller and only had a shower. I then went back downstairs and told them to give me my old room back because I needed a bathtub for my toddler son and to just give me fresh sheets and I would make my own bed. "Holiday Inn in Sioux City, Iowa"
Only complaint is when I booked this room it was with 2 queen beds for 3 people. The room I reserved also included breakfast. I asked the gal I made the reservation with if the cost of the room covered 3 breakfasts and what the breakfast included. She said it covered breakfast for the 3 people staying in the room and that is was the breakfast buffet. […] But my guests were given a $20.00 voucher which did not quite cover the costs of 3 breakfasts. They ended up paying an additional $2.44. I do not think they should have had to pay this because I was not informed correctly about this when I reserved the room to include the breakfast. When we said something about this when we checked out, the clerk said she was sorry but that was how they did this with the breakfast and would not reimburse us for the additionally amt. that our guests had to spend. I was not pleased with that response and felt like I was not correctly informed in the first place and that because of that, I should have been reimbursed. I think Holiday Inn could have afforded to reimburse that amt. since it was their mistake, not mine. Читати далі

"Holiday Inn, Tyson Center!!!"
Perfect location, within walking distance of the Tyson Center, which was our destination. We attended a concert there and were happy we did not have to worry about a cab ride. There were also a couple restaurants right next door, very convenient! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone...especially if you are attending a concert! "Maintence needed"
One door would not lock, security issue. Pool was nasty, dirty, cold. The hot tub was filthy foaming needed cleaning also. Showers would not drain when running. The location was ok centrally for heading all directions. Not so good traffic of undersirables that ventured outside. Seem to be an issue with homeless people living in parking area. Spa was broken, room was quite small and cramped. Would have loved to have a cup of tea in the room...no tea bags...had to go to the lobby for a cup of tea. Service in the restaurant morning brunch was quite slow.
"Great for downtown trip"
Got a jacuzzi room for a fun weekend away, the room itself was dated, but it was comfortable. Everything I asked for! The location was great too, within walking distance to several theaters and Historic 4th St., which is worth checking out. Overall, there are nicer hotels out there I suppose but it worked great for my weekend.

"Older Hotel Needing repair"
One morning had no hot water all morning. Staff down stairs were unconcerned about it. I know it wasn't their fault but they could at least showed they cared...

"Great hotel except for thin walls"
Everything about the hotel was great except for thin walls. We were kept up for part of the night with the person in the room next to us watching TV until 3am.
First time at a HI Express and was highly impressed with quality all around.

The hotel is not easily accessible from the interstate, though it looks like it would be on a map. Overall, it was a bit of a hassel getting to and from the property. Check in was fine and the room was decently clean. "Best Holiday Inn Hotel"
Me and my mom went to Sioux City last weekend to visit my cousin. Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The room is clean and well-maintained, staff are very courteous and helpful. This hotel is very close to everything. I would suggest however, that the air-conditioning units be replaced with quieter models.
"Great Quality Hotel"
The Front desk was amazing, we had many people staying there for a family reunion. They were able to group all of our rooms and provide service for several little personal problems we had. Restaurant:Good and Bad... Lunch was great with great customer service, which is what we experienced all over the hotel, good lunch bar with good value. Breakfast: […] A whole other story. Cashier never snapped to service like the front desk. Looked like they didn't need my business. Never once had a person come to my table while I was there.. they did bring water when I was at the salad bar. Ran out of water quickly and no one ever came back to see how I was. Had to go to the cashier and tell them what I ordered as no one brought the ticket. At one point there were 3 of them hovering around the cashier just gabbing. Fitness Center: The machines are looking a little old but they were all working fine... great set up with the tv, water and work-out towels. Overall a great hotel and a great value.. "Good Hotel to sleep at but that's about it"
The room was great and we were given free drink tickets when we checked in. The only down-side was that the breakfast wasn't complimentary. I was actually pretty surprised at the cost for such a lack-luster breakfast.

Fully met expectations. Nothing exceptional but well worth the price.

The hotel was nice and clean as all hotels should be. The customer service that we recieved at the front desk was very professional and left us with a positive feeling about the management of the hotel. We probably won't be spending a lot of time in Souix City but if we are passing through we would definately consider this Holiday Inn.
"Trying Hard"
The hotel was old and room was very small, but had been completely redone and very well. The bed was great and the room was as attractive as possible given the sizze and the age of the hotel. The dining room was attractive, the service was excellent and the food was good.
