The transportation to this motel is very convenient by just using the courtesy phone in the LAX airport when we arrived. The motel itself is nice and decent and worth its price. I was afraid that the noise of airplanes would be disturbing. Happily it was not. The continental breakfast and the restaurant are not bad either.

Visited Shelter in May 2010, the rooms are big and clean, in a reasonable price. The room is simple in a stylish way, quite comfortable. King size bed is good, you can get a good sleep there. It is in the Korean Town, located in the city. Location is quite convenient. Hotel provides free parking space at ground floor. The staff is friendly. It's a good place to stay in LA.

Located in high class beautiful Beverly Hill area. Walking distance to Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hill residential area. Very convenient and quiet. A small hotel with no lift or elevator to go upstairs, so have to carry luggage to the second floor. The staff are very helpful and nice. Facilities are basic but neat. Breakfast is basic. A little bit expensive but the location worths it. It is quite good as a last stop to relax and walk around, or to drive to anywhere. Bus stops are available outside the hotel going to Santa Monica or Hollywood area too.

Don't be fooled by the brand "Sheraton"--it's not. But if you can somehow sign up on the Internet to get a deal 60% of the real Sheraton, I wouldn't complain. it's close to the airport, with a nice shuttle service to LAX, but you have to be content with the Burger King nearby, because that is not only eating place within walking distance. I had dinner, and breakfast, and mostly the time i had the place to myself. Otherwise you need to shell pout 16 bucks for breakfast.

The hotel is GREAT ! From the lobby, the front desk, all the way to the room, everything is more than fine. Me and my wife are very impressed and we hope would have stayed longer -- we got there at 11:30PM and stayed for only one night. Gotta come to stay if we hit the city again.

Took a quick trip to LA to visit my daughter. I made a last minute reservation at this hotel & was very pleased. Hotel staff was friendly & informative. This hotel had the best ever shower & water pressure of any hotel I've stayed at. The room was small - but met our needs perfectly. "weekend quick trip"
This was a great location for walking to Graumans and walk of fame. Had breakfast in the little restaurant. Great food and great service. I will stay here again. Free parking also, which is hard to find.
"Hotel in Hollywood"
Thanks so much the stay was excellent. Our room was clean. We really enjoyed the restaurant SPICE that is located on grounds. We ate breakfast and dinner there. The restaurant is located a few blocks from the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" and Hollywood Boulevard. We will be back soon!

"Great Location for Hollywood Bowl"
We go to the Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl. This hotel, and two others, are easy walking distance to the Bowl and to Hollywood sites. We don't need a car; hassles with parking, etc.

The location is nice. It is just 5-10 min. walk to Hollywood Blvd, where many restaurants, sightseeing bus stops, shops are located. Chinese Theater is also in 10 min. walking. The room was just OK. The room has a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator. Why can`t I complain?

"Great location. Hotel is just okay."
We've stayed here a few times when we've needed to stay a night in Hollywood because the location is great and the price is very reasonable. Bed not very comfortable and we wouldn't dare step foot in the tiny pool. You get what you pay for. But I will say it seems to be the best choice of the inexpensive hotels in the area.
Best Western Hollywood Plaza on 2011 NHighland Ave is the place to stay when you want to see action in Los Angeles...the hotel is located in walking distance of almost all important attractions and the Hollywood BOWL is also close by...staff is very friendly, and the food in the restaurant is good...highly recommended to stay there

Nice hotel for the price, within walking distance of lots of attractions. Not the place to stay if you have a large vehicle. Parking is very tight and has low clearance. The cab of my truck cleared the covered parking by only an inch. Very scary! Otherwise a nice place

I have stayed at this hotel before. I was suprised it was nicer this time than before. The only real complaint I had was the carpet really needed cleaning. My white socks were really dark brown! Staff was great and I will stay there again.

good location for sightseeing trips in hollywood and Universal. Clean and comfy room, needs a little updating from outside of the rooms but very clean. Good value for money for Hollywood

just behind hollywood. within walking. less than 5mins to kodak theatre. there's gd eateries & a supermarket nearby. location was excellent. close to highway 101 too, can get to the city area or suburd easily = )
The parking is on the ground floor under the rooms that start on the second floor. The spots are very tight and the staff parks perpendicular to the guests and blocks you in. Then the workers get upset and refuse to move their vehicles when you complain about not being able to get your car out! Our stay was great, walking distance to everything. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.Hotel is clean and staff is courteous.
Clean and comfortable rooms and staff pleasant. But did not know that all charges had been paid for through Hotels.com and so had extra charge for the 2nd room I booked. Had to go back to Hotels.com after my trip to get this rectified.

"Better than expected"
I've been in dozens of Best Westerns, and this one is the most well-kept I've seen. While being right off a busy street may be an issue for those who aren't used to city driving, the walkability was great and we hardly drove the whole weekend. My girlfriend enjoyed having a real hair dryer in the room, and I enjoyed the free WiFi.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. This is not fancy but it serves the purpose if you want a good night's sleep close to the action. The staff was friendly and the restaurant attached to the hotel was great for breakfast!

"mediocre western"
Our room smelled like an ash tray and all the tv channels are fuzzy. Also, we kept having to get new room keys because they only worked once. The people at the front desk were pretty helpful, but nothing special. On a better note, I did get the towels I asked for right after I called for them, so that was nice. We didn't have very high expectations because the room rate was much lower compared to other hotels in the area but I was proven wrong. First off, the parking is a super plus. We vacationed in L.A. for three days in December so I'm not sure how crowded it gets during the high vacation times but while we were there, it was easy and so convenient to […] get in and out with our car (although it might be a little tight if there was a lot of traffic). Our room looked like it was recently remodeled so we had a beautiful flat screen TV, updated furniture, and modern bathroom. There was also a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. Our room was in the far back so we were far away from any street traffic and had a window on two walls. The back window had a view of trees and a really nice nature area with some private houses nestled inside. It was actually really lovely. One thing I didn't realize was that it's a motel layout with the room doors leading directly outside. During December it got a little chilly and without the air conditioner running heat, it gets cold without having any central heating system. The lobby area is small but there are two working elevators (one at front in the lobby and one in back to service the parking area) and a computer WITH PRINTER for guests to use. (There is free wifi for us to use in our room but we didn't have a printer.) This ended up being very handy because we bought discounted tickets online for Madam Tussuad that needed to be printed out along with several directions to various locations in L.A. that we could print out in the lobby in 2 minutes. There's also a little restaurant next to the lobby for guests to order food. I tried their mozzarella sandwich one evening and 2 egg breakfast another morning both of which were very tasty. Fiance & I were heading over to LA/Hollywood for some X-mas fun. The hotel is within walking distance of Hollywood & Highland the walk of fame and the El Capitan Theater.

"Ok, but the room had a weird smell"
The location is great and the room looked clean, but it smelled weird. The window wouldn't open, so we had to keep our door open for a few hours to get some fresh air in. The guy across from us was doing the same thing, so I'm guessing all the rooms have this smell. Parking was free. The TV had poor reception.
