We have stayed here quite a few times and would go back. The staff are very pleasant and efficient. Only would complaint would be the lack of fruit at breakfast, not a good variety. Not as good as I had hoped.Not a bad location for the RSC but we did not find it welcoming. The barman in particular was downright surly.Also try to avoid the breakfasts. Not good. Disappointing. They need to try harder.

The Stratford Arden Street Stratford. Very enjoyable stay. Staff efficient and friendly - felt welcome and important as a customer. Breakfast was good. Good value for money. Quiet location. A little dificulty in finding the hotel in the car (did not know Stratford) - a policeman helped us! 15 minute walk to the theatre.

The location was brilliant for seeing all of Stratford on foot a place that neither of us had visited before. I was a little disappointed that this hotel wasn't closer to Stratford's shops and theatres, but it is still perfectly walkable. The location is not all that interesting, but that is more than compensated for by the comfortable, large rooms and absolutely excellent front-desk service. We have stayed in this hotel several times over the past year and plan to come back again. Its within easy walking distance of the town. The staff are all very helpful. The only thing I would suggest is a better variety of fruit at breakfast.
The best service I've had anywhere. Food and accommodation was excellent in an ideal spot to enjoy Stratford. Only minor complaint was that the room looked out on the rear entrance where the courtyard area was set up with tables and chairs. This encouraged smokers to sit outside and chat which could be heard in the room late one night. "Wonderful hotel, great location"
This hotel is very close to the train depot. Stratford-upon-Avon is a walking town and everything you want to see is one mile or less from this hotel. The room is comfortable and up to date, but there is a lot of furniture (tables and chairs) that make it seem a little cramped. The service was excellent.

This is the hotel you reach after leaving the train station. It looks just like the pictures. We only saw the front of the hotel, leading through to our room. The room was very spacious. On arrival, I felt our double room was small. Within minutes I realised it was almost perfect. It suited us fine, especially as we were only staying one night. Seen "Dr Who?" A real Tardis of a room. Great. And right next to the station too!
We had three nights at the Stratford-upon-Avon, May 28 - 31, and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. We booked the room to include breakfast, and there's no way you could have walked away hungry! I'm picky, but had not one complaint about anything. Room was large, beds comfortable, free internet was offered, lounge very comfortable, bar well stocked, location […] excellent. We've stayed at the Stratford several times, and it's fairly convenient and reasonably priced if you book in advance. The service is sometimes a bit hit and miss. On this occasion, our chambermaid was outstanding. We returned to our room at 1.30 and it hadn't been cleaned - she came and cleaned it thoroughly in 20 minutes while we waited in the lounge […] - she was always pleasant and friendly whenever we saw her (I don't know her name but she had a trolley with 'Kim' on it), which is highly unusual in a British hotel these days. As an overseas visitor from Canada, you're always taking chance on a hotel but the Stratford was good or better in most everything. The rooms were comfortable but not well insulated for noise, I was woken by noisy neighbors several times (mine was 228). Better sound insulation would fix this problem. "the stratford - fantastic 80th stay"
We were most impressed with the hotel and it totaly lived up to our expectation. The food in resturant was fantastic, highly recommended. With the added bonus of the staff reconising, setting the table and suprising us with birthday song and message on the pudding plate for my mom's 80th birthday. There should, at the very least, be a sign when you drive in telling you you'll be charged £5 a day. If the hotel are busy you won't find a space anyway.
