The location is very nice on the water and close walk to hip downtown Dunedin but the new owners are resting on the location alone. The staff was in short supply and unable to take care of simple needs like getting the HVAC in our room to work properly or turn the heat on in the "heated outdoor pool and hot tub" as advertised. The restaurant and hotel […] were recently sold to two different buyers and that seems to have also taken a turn for the worse as they were short staffed and out of several menu items. The food was a combination of overdone and undercooked. Find somewhere else to stay if you visit this great part of FL. Читати далі

Location is wonderful. Had problems with door key cards and front desk ran short of newspapers. Walls need to be better soundproofed as neighbors' plumbing sounds like it's in your room. The room AC units run on an "ON-OFF" basis which is loud and disrupts sleep. A continuous fan operation would be preferable. Not only was this a terrible room but after checkout they decided to hit us with a ridiculous fee that was completely out of left field and 100% wrong. We will be fighting this with the CC company but you should know that these people can not be trusted. Very nice accommodations and the location was perfect for us. It was about 30 min. from the Dali museum and very close to Caledesi Is. which we wanted to explore. We chose this hotel because of the advertised proximity to the water -- "the Gulf is Right There!" This is true -- when you open the back door there is a wide balcony overlooking the water. The view is nice. But the temperature was very high and leaving the door open was not an option. With no glass in the door, seeing the view with it closed was also […] not an option. End result -- we might as well have been miles from the Gulf. Also -- the restaurant, supposedly a destination dining place, left quite a lot to be desired. I ordered an escargot appetizer that was fantastic. My companion's was soup, which came long after I had finished mine, was barely lukewarm, and I have tasted better from a can. Our main courses were also late, cold, the lobster was rubbery and the salmon tasteless. I didn't bother with dessert, but my friend's creme brulee was very good. I read the reviews on hotel.com before I chose this hotel, and I am so glad I did. Normally, I would not have very high expectations of a Best Western. This hotel, however, was simply a dream. Not so much the hotel but its location! I had a room on the first floor, so the entrance to my room was from the outside. As I entered the room, I saw another door in the back of the room. I opened the door, and oh my god, I was right on the water. This became my new favorite spot to relax - I would open my back door, grab a chair, and just look at the water - so beautiful. I even saw dolphins! I felt like I was in utopia. I am from NYC and travel quite often on business, and I have never seen such a beautiful location. The town of Dunedin is breathetaking, and the view from the Best Western is incredible. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I almost had to be dragged out on my last day. In the mornings, I woke up and jogged right on the water. I would then eat breakfast at Bon Appetit which is on the hotel property (great staff, great food), and this restaurant was on the water as well. Hotel was good but deal was to include Continental Breakfast which they do not do. They did give us 2x$5 vouchers for discount on breakfast. need to update your offer to mention this.

we loved the location. there was a mix up on the number of beds we needed but the hotel staff accomodated us with a roll away bed and the room was bigger than expected so the roll away was not even in the way. the marina is great and the downtown of dunedin is one block away. it felt like home

Absolutely love this quaint Hotel!!! I travel a lot to Tampa for Business and I always will stay here...rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated...

Nice clean place to stay, the tile flooring was a little chilly as the weather was a little cool. You have to go to their restaurant for the complimentary breakfast. You have one choice of (1) 2 eggs over easy or scrambled, 2 slices of bacon or sausage and toast.(2) A small box of Kellogg's Raisin Bran , Frosted Flakes or Corn flake's, (3) Or a danish […] and muffin, along with Juice, coffee or tea. I do not eat eggs so I had a very limited choice for their complimentary breakfast. We could have ordered off of the restaurant menu but it was pricy. For the price of a room here the complimentary breakfast should have had more choices as we stayed for four nights. You will have a Ben Franklin temporary charge on your credit card if you stay in a deluxe room to cover the contents that are in the mini refrigerator, it is credited back to you when you check out if you did not consume any of the goods. We did not use the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. When we were eating breakfast one morning we were able to see dolphins swimming which was cool. The historic downtown area is very close by with GREAT restaurants and shops. Try Casa Tina restaurant for awesome authenic Mexican food. The Pinellas bike/walking path is also very close to this hotel. The paved path is 30 miles long and is VERY NICE, bring your bikes or the hotel rents cruisers by the hour or by the day for a moderate price. This hotel is right on the bay. Each room has a door facing the parking lot and one that opens to the bay side.

Outstanding room. Wonderful service with one exception( one arrogant waiter). Front desk staff were great. They found my favorite pillow which I had left in the room at checkout. Location is fantastic with a "to die for" view, and a short, easy walk into Dunedin's old towne center.

We love staying here, the view is lovely, the waterfront restraunt excellent (Sher is the best waitor) and the location is so perfect. It's nice to park the car for the weekend and be able to walk to all of the fun shops,bars and cafes. Also it's a short drive to the most beautiful, non-tourist beach our area has to offer. Wonderful hotel. Right on the water. Customer Service was fantastic...had numerous requests and all were met and exceeded. Great pool and hot tub too!

Everything was great, the staff and entertainment included. Very clean and quiet the pool was awesome. he meals were great and the free breakfast was great also. The only issue i had was after paying for my room through a on line site the hotel still billed for the room in error but it is taking 5 days for the money to be returned to my bank account […] that is causing a problem for me. This hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. We didn't expect a frig and microwave in the room, which was a real plus. Everything looked new or recently remodeled. Also, we just happened to stay at a time when they served a very nice complimentary breakfast

we have wanted to explore the Dunedin area of Florida for sometime and we were very happy with this hotel. The room was spacious and the tile floor was cool in hot July. We loved that we could walk to everything in town and we enjoyed the continental breakfast in the dining room with Gustav the Giraffe. we also loved the outside deck on the harbor for […] lunch and dinner. good food at decent prices. my only complaint would be the loud blower on the ac unit and no beach but we enjoyed our stay. We had a 1 nite stay for a little getaway and really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was great, walking distance to the main street of Dunedin. Being right on the water was relaxing and the view was great. The room was very comfortable, spacey, great shower. We will be coming back on our next visit.

Absolutely wonderful place, Stay and location and the price was wonderful. We took our boat and kept it in the Marina across the street and enjoyed our weekend on the water. Beautiful area

Hotel was nice, but is starting to show its age. It would be nice if this hotel on the water had a beach or beach access.
