great hotel for city center stay staff very helpfull and parking 8.50 next to hotel would recomend to anyone wall paper bit dated and would say rooms need updating but still clean and comfortable stay

Of the three hotels I've stayed at in Nottingham, this is the best. The bed was the most comfortable and as a result I slept well. There was a slight intrusion of noise from other rooms and outside but I think that's hard to avoid. It was not unreasonable. The bath was absurdly short but I do appreciate the option, rather than just a shower. The room […] was small but had everything I needed, including a TV that had all the Freeview channels available (except HD). The biggest downside was that it's quite a walk from the station up a hill, When one approaches it from one direction one sees a big sign with the hotel's name on it but then has to work out that one has to walk around three sides of the building to find the entrance, as there is no access through the car park. I had a very reasonable rate on this hotel so didn't complain. Had I paid the going rate, it would have been very different. I guess you get what you pay for. Tatty around the edges in urgent need of a refurb. Uncomfortable beds. Room fittings were in poor repair. My colleague and I both had upgrades but the rooms seemed to be on top of a boiler, which […] whined 24/7. Staff were friendly enough though bar service when we arrived was non existent. Читати далі

Could of asked for nothing more. great room great service, great location for Nottingham City Center.

close to the castle great for the shops and local pubs smashing breakfast and as much as you like would go again

My boyfriend and I booked a night in this hotel so we could go to the Nottingham Beer Festival which happens at the castle. We were please to find the two locations were less than a minute from each other. It's pretty central and was perfect for us, no complaints.

Great location, right by Nottingham Castle and an easy walk from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff, a pleasant room with a nice amount of space. The only fault we experienced was that the toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor. I would come back and stay here again and would recommend to friends.

On arrival I had to wait at reception for 20 mins whilst the one person on duty attended to other people checking in - at no time did she call for support - dispite the fact that I could hear other employees just round the corner. When we did get to speak - she could not give the simplest of answers - regarding car parking arrangements. Having eventually […] checked in we found our room door did not lock. We had to leave to attend an urgent meeting but there appeared to be no question of moving us just ' leave your bags in the room and we will mend the lock' Clearly security not good. The over all immpression of the hotel inside was run down. The carpets and lift were grubby. The very worst feature was the bed. I dont think I have ever tried - got very little sleep- to sleep in such an uncomfortable bed. These points were mentioned to staff on front desk as we left. We will not be staying in this chain of hotels again and will advise friends and work collegues to avoid them. Читати далі

i was disappointed with the hotel on a whole due to my room 401, was in need of redecoration and was right next to a noisey lift, and a night club, the window was double glazed but didnt shut so the noise from the night club was very loud, the staff was very pleasant tho.

A great hotel, a stones throw from all the nightlife and daytime activities too without the traffic noise, due to being off street. Great value and I will certainly be back.

a cosy place to stay. I was dissapointed about the VAT increase accident which meant that my colleagues got a very cheap (but incorrect) price, with breakfast included and I got a considerably higher rate with no breakfast included. no apology breakfast offer either which would have been helpful as breakfast was quite difficult with no ammenities and […] a higher rate stay. . hotel phone made a high shrieking noise on every use. window frame was coming off the wall as i tried to undo window! The staff were wonderful and helpful.The restaurant was good. The room was small with no room to even put a suitcase down. The bathroom was also very cramped - so cramped the toilet seat would not stay upright. Wireless internet was extra, though not unreasonable.

Convenient location and good value for money.

Great place to stay in Nottm as a good central location. 5 mins walk into the market square and only a 2 mins from the castle and surrounding tourist areas. The hotel was clean and comfortable welcoming reception staff. It was bitterly cold when I made my trip and the room could have done with additional heating but they were unusually extreme conditions. […] The decor of the hotel is tired and needs refurbishment but I would not let this put me off as it was reflected in the price. Excellent location, close to shopping centre and tourist attractions.

Hotel OK, decore nice and breakfast good. My room was super small and next to the air conditioning unit on the roof so very noisy. OK for a pit stop.

We are the last guests to check in, the hotel only got a small room for us. The room of first night was too small and too noisy. However, the second night we moved to a new room. It was quite nice.

Pleasant hotel located on the edge of the city centre. Its a climb uphill whichever way you approach on foot. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Room was compact and clean. The breakfast was ok, but they had too few staff on to cover the numbers in the restaurant. I would say overall it was good value for money.

For a hotel room near to the centre of Nottingham at a bargain price Rutland Square was good. The rooms were a bit dated and pokey, and could do with an update, but were clean enough for a night in the city. The only problem we had was the noise of the lift as the room was next to it - but we got used to it quick enough!

Great hotel and good location. Price was great for a hotel of this standard and location.

Staff at check-in were friendly however they forgot to mention that there was a six pounds charge for the hotel carpark (not mentioned anywhere!). However at check-out they admitted their mistake and did not charge me. Bed was quite comfy and room and bathroom were clean. Over all good, A bit of street noise before midnight

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was a very good size, we were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival. Ideal location, within walkng distance of centre of town. Would recommend to others.

Very comfy bed - good night's sleep. Very close to major attractions and city centre. Would recommend.

Enjoyable stay. Booked premier room which was well worth the extra. Good cooked breakfast. Good location near Castle and short walk to shops etc. Approx 15-20 min walk to Trent FM Arena although plenty of taxi's available if required. Great to have car park attached to hotel. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel - very good value, friendly staff, clean rooms, 3 mins walk from market square and the shops and bars.

This hotel was so convenient for central nottingham - 3 mins walk to market square. Check in was smooth, rooms were large (we may have been upgraded as the room was SOOOO large), bathroom well equiped and clean. Parking was right nect door (NCP) and hotel validated our ticket for 24 hours at £6 - and they let us go out and do a couple hours shopping […] after check out and still validated our ticket! Pleasant room, attentive staff and excellent breakfast

Nice hotel with modern, clean reception area. Lovely breakfast, stylish bar area. Rooms are Comfortable but slightly tired. Single rooms very small but premier rooms are much better & worth paying extra for.

Staff was very helpful and hotel location was within walking distance of nearly everything in town. Only draw back was the room was quite small and didn't have much loiter room for two adults, but if you are only looking for a place to sleep it was acceptable.

Generally speaking, it is a good hotel. The location is very good, in the city centre and very near to the coach and train station. But it is not on the roadside,so I do spent some time in finding it. The double room is very small. However I was glad it is clean.

Stayed there for 3 nights in a singleroom. Bed was ok, breakfast was normal, room was ok as a singleroom. They are always a little smaller. Stupid thing in bathroom was that you couldn´t let the toilettering up so you had to hold it there if you wanted to pee standing ;-). What I disliked was the lack of internet at the hotel. You could rent for 1,5 […] hour for 6 pounds. I went to a internetcafé and paid 1,20 for 30 minutes. Otherwise a good hotel. Nice staff, nice location next to Nottingham Castle and calm area. This was my 8th stay at RSH and yet again got I a really worn out bathroom. Loose toiletseat, soapdispenser not working and fungus around the walls. The hotel really needs upgrading but it does it`s job for me during a one-night travel to Nottingham. I had room 316 this time and size was OK - window was open and impossible to close without use of force […] and that broke the handle. Читати далі
