If you are staying in Nanaimo.. this is the hotel for you. Great location, clean, friendly, spacious, breakfast was wonderful.. staff was way cool. So friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeart!!!! It is centrally located to the east coast of Vancouver Island, making it a great location to commute out of. "Best Western in Nanaimo"
We were happy with the comfort of our room and with having 4 pillows on each bed. The continental breakfast had variety....yogurt, hot and cold cereal, pastries, boilded eggs, fruit....and you could make yourself waffles!

This hotel is NOT a three to four star hotel as it is described in online rating systems, except for there is a nice continental breakfast and apparently a hot tub somewhere....? Best: The front desk staff were 5-star in the PM and the AM. Bad: They found a new room after the original was musty...it looked and smelled like an old frat house in there […] with bubbling carpet. The hallways are very ragged---appartently being repaired--but no sign of work being done while I was there. The bathrooms have been noted in other reviews as having new granite counters---and yes the bathrooms seem to be the most updated part. I reserved at $-- a night online. Expect your room and roaming experience to rate more like a $--night hotel. Not what I expected. Wished I spent $70 more for somewhat more "fresh" feeling. Thai restaurant next door is very good. "Comfort..."
We had a king bed room, as seniors it would be so nice to have a small chesterfield in the room, we are beyond trying to sit on the bed to watch TV...
