Hotel Roma Sacre Coeur - Париж

Hotel was in convenient location, close to metro and in walking distance to Sacre Coeur Basilica. Room was very small as expected. It was ok for a 2 night stay, but would opt for higher quality hotel for longer stay. Shuttle to airport is convenient and less expense than cab fare. Staff was adequate but not overly friendly.

Great location, we also had a corner room on the third floor with a great view of the street downstairs. Few little quirks-- they cleaned the room everyday even when twice we put up "do not disturb" signs! and also, twice during our one-week stay the fire alarm went off (VERY LOUDLY) and stayed on for about 10 minutes.... false alarm both times.

Decent hotel for the money if your expectations are not too high. Metro stop right next door is super convenient to get anywhere in the city. Overall good value for the money in expensive Paris.

Given Paris's expensive hotels the Roma Sacre Coeur is relatively cheap and in this case you get what you pay for. This was a case of how many rooms could they cram into the available space, My room had limited hanging space, no drawers and a tiny shower room. The staff consisted of one usually helpful man at the front desk and a cleaner for the room […] which on my three night stay was cleaned once, The room was however warm and generally clean and the shower worked well. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and helped us out whenever needed. The location is great, many restaurants close by, and being right next to the metro makes it very easy to get around Paris.

We were only interested in a romantic weekend around Montmartre for our anniversary, so this this hotel was well-placed, and conveniently located near a Metro station (line 12, Lamarck Caulaincourt station). Hotel is conveniently located to the metro but it is a distance to the main tran station ( Paris gare Lyon) and airports ( Orly airport). The room I got was very small and the hotel did not do housekeeping. They only changed towels every two days. Great for budget and location conscious travelers.

2 min walk to metro station! Rum was very small but clean, very humid... The bigger rum is much better, so if you book - look for bigger one! 10 min walk to Montmartre and about 15 min to walk to Moulin Rouge! Anyhow I recommend it!

If I were to complain about anything, the room for the toilet was cramped, but not unexpected for such an old building. The shower lacked a curtain, and the shower head was functional, but the mount was broken and could not be adjusted to accommodate a tall guest. The elevator is VERY small and not recommended if you are claustrophobic. As previously mentioned, the hotel was undergoing renovations so occasionally halls were dark and workers were in the way. The hotel is in bad conditioned, old and dirty, could not properly cover the window to take a shower, the window handle fell down, one of the worst matress for a long time ... It's not terrible, but not wonderful either. Our room was very small. In the corners, there was a lot of dirt. The first morning, the shower didn't have hot water. We had this bad luck in Montmartre that a heavy rainfall cut the electricity out for 2 days in our neighborhood during my stay. the advantage was that it s near the metro station. however, I did not like the quality, it was not clean, very old and the room was so small. I wont go there again.

I have had a wonderful one night stay with my mum, the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful and I find it a blessing that the room comes with a mini bar (a fridge which I used to keep my supermarket shopping cold) and WIFI. This place was fine for a quick stay, and it was very close to the metro. Service was friendly, and everything was clean. We had a nice view. However my friends and I are wondering if there was bedbugs!! Also the electricity went out for one night.

I did not like at all.

This hotel is very close to the Lamark-Calaincourt metro stop. There are tabacs, boulangeries and restaurants within walking distance. The staff speak English. The decor is very bright and colorful, but there was some renovation going on when we were there. Our room was clean.

The only good thing about this hotel is location. The blankets are scary to touch! Looked like they have not been washed. The kids were stuck in the very tiny elevator then the elevator did not work for 3 days. 6 floors to climb every night when you are tired coming back in the hotel. Despite some gripes, I would definitely recommend Hotel Roma Sacre Coeur. We stayed in a room on the "first floor" which is really second floor, but in France, the ground level is not counted... Our room did not have AC, a shower curtain, or a working holder for the shower spout (on a hose). I would label this a budget hotel. Surrounding neighborhood is cute, great if the rest of Paris is expensive... but pretty much bare bones. Don't expect any help from the front desk.

This hotel is perfect for a certain type of traveler- one who wants a great location, a reasonable price, and doesn't expect luxury. Please note that despite other reviews to the contrary, THERE IS AN ELEVATOR at the Lamark/Calaincourt metro stop, no need to drag bags up all of those stairs. The area is, in my opinion, one of the loveliest in Paris, and the hotel couldn't be any more conveniently located, right above the Metro stop, right below the Sacre Coeur, and located on a main street with many restaurants, markets, bakeries, boucheries, and everything a traveler could need. The beds are not soft and lush, but there are plenty of pillows. The furnishings are not luxurious, but there is a little refrigerator. My shower was strong and hot, and the free wireless Internet didn't let me down once. As long as you don't expect to be pampered, you will love this great hotel. I think that most of the negative reviews I read about this hotel online were from people who either got a room with no shower curtain (most odd) or expected a generic hotel with no street noise and plain white walls. if you like to stay for one night it is ok, very nice location but the rooms are very small but clean.

I arrived early to the hotel, expected a two hr. delay on the room. Being that they knew I had a minor accident they expedited the room preparation and maybe me feel very accommodated. We arrived quite tired and frustrated because driving in Paris in the evening is anything but pleasurable! We were warmly greeted by the front desk employee, something that unfortunately only happened from this particular gentleman during our stay, but it is Paris. The room was what you would expect, small but clean, and had all the basic requirements. […] Plus, the added bonus for us was a bathtub! We decided to stay an extra day, so moved rooms to upstairs on the top floor. Much larger room with an incredible balcony, having no tub was the only trade off, and so very worth it! Parking was down the street and cost about $35 a day but was worth the cost, knowing our rental was safe and secure. The metro was just down the stairs next to the building, very convenient. This hotel was ideally located within easy walking distance of the sacre coeur and the famous lapin rouge cabaret. We also managed a stroll to the moulin rouge but this may be pushing it a bit for those of you who cant manage climbing up a mountain of steps! Great location, nice view from room. Receptionists always friendly but never concerned with being helpful. Room was a bit tight and possibly loud for light sleepers. Overall, would stay there again, don't expect too much more than a fantastic location.
