The hotel fit the bill. One night stay on a business trip. 1/2 block from Max Light Rail system so easy for me since i did not have rental car. No frills room that was comfortable. Friendly staff. Adequate complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Locatiion was good, the hallways smelled really bad. We heard people coming and going all hours of the night. Went to shower and water wasn't even lukewarm, ran water thru coffeemaker to have hot water for sponge baths. Best part was the waffles at breakfast.

The accommodations and service were what you would expect for a motel in this price range. I would come back to stay at this motel without hesitation if comparing similarly priced motels in this area as I feel it was a cut above what I have experienced in the past.

The motels evening staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was within 15 miles of everything we wanted to do in the Portland area with easy access to the freeways or main surface roads. If you like using alternative transportation the MAX light rail was close at hand as well. Your not likely to find a place to dine nearby unless you’re […] into fast food but we did find one excellent small Chinese restaurant close. The motels complimentary continental breakfast is uncomplicated with very limited seating so go early or be prepared to wait in line for the waffle maker and or table. The motel does have onsite laundry facilities if you need them and a small spa. While I cannot rate this motel as outstanding I would recommend it to a friend as it is most likely one of the best accommodations you will find available in the greater Portland area in this price range and for us that was important, we will be back! Great hotel for a vacation in Portland when you don't want to stay or drive in the city. The metro is a block away and about a 30 minute trip into the city. There are plenty of restaurants, drug stores and a movie theater within walking distance to the hotel. Very pleasant experience especially for the price we paid.

It was a good stay. Nothing fancy but did the job. Lady at the front desk upon check in was awesome. Great personality along with being very helpful and great conversation. The morning person in charge of the breakfast was very rude. I walked by the room for the breakfast, which I think starts late at 6:30am as most people are up and gone by then, and […] there was a hotel guest in there at 6:20am and he was grabbing a pastry and drink. So I walked in and started to grab a pastry and an apple to go and the guy came out of the back room and very rudly confronted me saynig the breakfast did not start for another 10 minutes. I said that the other person was getting something and just wanted a quick couple of items for the road. Cheap, no frills hotel. A little old, could stand some new carpet. Wi-fi seemed kinda slow. Close to lots of food options, and easy access to freeway. Staff was very nice.

It was just a place to stay for the night en route to our final destination, but in hindsight I wish I had paid a little more to stay at a higher quality hotel. The whole hallway and the inside of our room smelled like cigarette smoke. The very sweet and helpful woman who checked us in sprayed an air freshener in the hallway that only made it worse. […] Tried sleeping with the window open but the traffic noise was too loud. Excellent front office staff! It was the best service I have ever experienced and was beyond a 5 star hotel service (and without the stuffiness). I was dealing with 17 high school students in multiple rooms and the front office staff allowed my bus driver to check in without me present (a quick phone call to warn them and a friendly response "of course") […] and no problems or hang ups with chaperones trickling in to check in. Front desk lady was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was so-so even comparing at same cost hotels. The room was good and spacious. This is not a non-smoking hotel, and you can tell; the smell of smoke and stale cigarettes lingers in the halls. The area is a bit iffy. Upon check in, the desk clerk was unavailable and after about 5 minutes the housekeeping staff located him. As soon as we were checked in, he disappeared down the hallway again. Rebecca, on the other hand was excellent! Her customer service skills were phenomenal which is a rare quality these days. She is a keeper and deserves a raise!

The room was not cleaned well; there were cigarette ashes in various locations and burns on the bed spread; the waffle maker did not work and the staff member seemed inconvenienced when we asked for his help; there was a cover plate missing on an electrical outlet; the hotel is is need of general upgrading.

Super nice man working at the front!! AMAZING continental breakfast with make your own fresh waffles, fresh coffee, toast, cinnamon buns and much more! Sure its not a 5 star hotel, but we got a clean room, great food, convenient location all for more then half of what it would of cost to stay downtown!

The room had a microwave & fridge. It was close to the train for transport to downtown. No elevator - luckily I was able to get a ground level room. The faucet in the bathroom was not properly connected and had no stopper so that could do laundry. However, when I brought it to their attention, they provided a stopper. Stayed at Roadway Inn Gresham, terrible place so we moved to this place a couple blocks away. Same price MUCH nicer hotel. Highly recommended. A block from a lite-rail metro line that runs everywhere. Great home base for exploring, etc. Very good deal for the $$ spent. A+ in my book!

I had a great experience at this hotel! I am an 18 year old girl and felt comfortable and safe staying at this hotel alone. It easy to get to since the MAX drive one block away. About what I expected for a super 8 motel, stay away from the rooms next to the road, a lot of road noise. The front office person Becky was very nice and very helpful!

There wasn't anything special about it, but there isn't much to complain about either. The breakfast was good, pretty standard. The sheets had a lot of stains on them though..we brought our own anyway so it wasn't a big deal to us. My one issue though is that there are smoking and non smoking rooms next to each other so even if your room is non smoking, […] you still smell it in the hallways and in your room. They should keep all the smoking rooms upstairs and the non smoking ones downstairs. The staff was really nice and I would stay there again. It wasn't too far of a drive to get to everything we wanted to do. All in all, it wasn't bad for a one night stay. Our stay was quite pleasant. However, we were not pleased with the fact that our reserved hotel room was not available at check in because the air conditioner broke down and they were not able to accomodate us with another room on that floor. We were given another room downstairs by the ice machine which was one of our requests that we NOT be placed […] near an ice machine or elevator (there were no elevators). They told us we could upgrade to another room upstairs for an extra $10/night. This was rectified when the manager told the desk clerk that we could be given an upgrade without an extra charge. Overall, the service was good and the complimentary breakfast was quite adequate. There was a slight smoky odour at the end of our hallway because the smoking rooms were located in that area. The girl at the desk was very helpful and went above and beyond in helping us find a place the kids could swim since they don't have a pool. The room was clean except for something gross on the wall by the window that had been missed in the cleaning, but it would have been easy to miss. The breakfast was great, but the poor guy at the desk had a hard […] time keeping up with breakfast and running the desk at the same time. He was quick to refill things though when he was made aware. The best facility provided is the hot tub. After a full day of travel and activities what could be better is to relax in the hot tub. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit tight. Breakfast was alright, with only 3 tables. So have to wait for awhile since everyone was waiting. It was a good stay.

It was fine, it's not a 4 star hotel. Our room was overwhelmingly pinesol-smelling when we got there, (makes me think someone had been smoking in the room), but the smell dissipated eventually. The location is great -- one minute away from a MAX blue-line station, so you could stay there and go anywhere you want in Portland with ease (or park your car, if you have one, in their large parking lot). My room was very comfortable, and included a sofa, a work-table, a chair, a TV, and even a coffee machine. The tub was great, and the shower-head […] was adjustable. The bed was a little too soft for me, and the internet requires login each time you start up your computer, but that's the only criticism I have (well, my room was upstairs, so I had to carry my luggage there, but I haven't asked for help, so perhaps you could if you need it).
