My only complaint is that the price of 29 Euros each for a full Breakfast is extortionate - you can get a 3 course set menu in the Restaurant for 27 Euros! A shame that they see fit to overcharge you - otherwise a superb hotel, and would definitely stay there again.

My partner and I spent a long weekend in Hamburg from October 25th - October 28th. We'd come away for my partner's birthday and because of this the hotel put a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hotel was excellent and the spa was superb but we couldn't use the sauna, steam room etc because everybody has to go naked. We didn't realise this at first so we wore bathers and we were told that we had to leave if we didn't take our bathers off. Being british, we weren't used to this and are very uncomfortable with it so we couldn't use the facilities […] while we were there which was disappointing as we stayed there for 5 days and it was something we were looking forward to. Its a shame that the guests weren't given a choice. The room was lovely but there was a long glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom so you could see someone on the toilet and also having a shower. Really strange.We tried to work out why they did that and realised that you saw the view from the shower through that window.No privacy at all though. Breakfast is extemely expensive.Try Cafe Paris. I have stayed here several times and always found it comfortable, convenient and well-priced. In the past I did not rely on wireless as I did this time for iPhone and iPad. The wireless connection, although free, was just terrible and kept cutting out constantly and unpredictably, no matter where in the hotel I used it -- room, bar, lobby, etc. The […] hotel staff are well aware of it and apologetic, but this did not help me. Since I use Skype a lot, and since this was a business trip, I regret that I will not be able to consider this nice hotel again unless/until they bring their wireless network upto a decent standard. Like in many other hotels, rooms at Sofitel in Hamburg become available to arriving guests at 3PM (15:00). Since the hotel advertises to overseas guests (US, Canada, etc.), those guests arrive in the morning hours (my flight arrived at 7:30 AM), I was asked to cool my heels in the lobby from 8:30 am until 3 PM - a very long 6 1/2 hours after a sleepless […] night. Since the flight personnel of my United Airlines flight arrived at the same time as I did, it surprised me that they were promptly given rooms. Where there's a will, there's away . . . After I complained quite a bit, a room was 'discovered' and made available to me before noon. A more guest-friendly hotel would have found a solution to this problem. For example, a room cleaner could have been scheduled to arrive very early to start his or her regular work shift. But there seems to be no such interest in accommodating guests at this hotel. Dining room food was acceptable, with its service above average. A 'Mescaline Salad' is on the menu! Concierge service was limited to eight hours every day, but the concierge was a winner. We were in a classic room and had no tea or coffee making facilities. In a 5 star hotel I would except tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable (as expected) and the facilities and location of the hotel were good.

Loved it. The bed was wonderful everything was wonderful. Would go straight back again. Staff very good and helpful. Only thing forgot that in Germany people use the sauna naked so that took some getting use to. Lots of places to visit close by and places to eat but much quieter at night. Didnt eat in the hotel.

Comfort of room, quality of furnishings etc. excellent. The spa was a little disappointing as no jacuzzi! Very expensive to eat at the hotel so we very successfully went to various cafes and restaurants for breakfast and evening meals. The location was fantastic as easy to walk to all the major sites.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for just 3 nights on a brief visit to Hamburg, but although the stay was short, we managed to get a lot out of the hotel. As said, although we spent most of the time outside of the hotel, we did dine in the hotel restaurant and drink most evenings at the bar. Both being very nice indeed and well staffed. Judging by the clientèle, the guests there ranged widely from business people to small families with children, although having said that I would say that overall the hotel seemed to incline more towards couples and professionals as opposed to big families. Great hotel in a fantastic location near to all the sights and shopping. Between the four of us in our party we had booked a single , double and a deluxe. All the rooms were spacious and immaculate. The best part was the decking next to the canal , lovely sitting outside in a city centre hotel and having a few drinks. Will definitley be back.

Good hotel.. Except The phone was not working. But we did not care. The bed, we asked for queen.. But actually we experienced two beds that were put close to each other. Me or my wife were stuck in a gap in the middle during sleep. That ws not fun.

The hotel is very well situated in the very upclass financial centre of the city and is a short 3-4 min walk form the main shopping centre; less to the closest underground train station. The entrance area of the hotel is well landscaped with a nice patio eating/siting area fronting the 2x classy hotel restaurants. The entire area is very well maintained, […] which is indicative of the hotel in general. A very pleasant aroma greets you as you enter the reception and the staff are very friendly and all speak a high standard of English. The rooms are first class with an excellent standard of furnishing and a very comfortable bed. The duvet on the king-size bed consisted of 2x smaller duvets, which did not really appeal to my partner, but did to me. There are several UK channels on the standard in-room TV and a comfortable sofa to watch from. We were asked what day in our stay did we want the complimentary picnic, which we knew nothing of prior to arriving. It was supplied in a traditional wicker picnic basket and like everything else in the hotel was first class. We had a standard room for 4x nights and I believe we did not select any special arrangement that included this. The hotel pool, gym and health suite is also very nice and is all fitted out to a very high standard. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and can advise it to anyone planning a social, or business trip to Hamburg. Читати далі

Just stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic time. If you drive it is right in the middle of town and they have valet parking. It is in walking distance to all different types of attractions plus there is a U-bahn station 200 meters away. The restaurant inside the hotel Ticno had excellent food and service. Now they say some rooms have balconies and I had one but they are only large enough for two people to stand next to each other on. The beds were very comfortable though a kingsize bed in Europe will typically be two beds pushed together. They bathroom was very large with a separate tub and shower. I stayed here just for one night so decided to eat in the hotel restaurant which was apparently very good. After waiting 5 mins before anyone appeared to seat me I got a menu and picked my food. I only saw one waitress the whole time I was there. What arrived was nothing special and very standard! The service was awful. I even got asked if I wanted […] the desert while I was waiting for my main course as the waitress had forgotten I hadn't had my main. It wasn't busy as there was only one other table occupied. This is an excellant Hotel. The location is close to the shops and resteraunts but also just an ideal bit away from the hustel and bustle. We stayed in a Superior Room, which I highly recommend, so comfortable and made our stay very relaxing. Booked the king -bed, but it was actually only 2 twin bed put together, not comfortable at all. No tea or coffer in the room; Lunch bread was cold,; bar was not cozy for winter staying. The sofa in the room was nice; Reception was friendly. Sauna with a resting room beside was really good --probably the best one in Hamburg.

Its a splendid hotel with nice facilities and placed very central in Hamburg. But we are not at all satisfied about the price for breakfast. 26 euros for each person is to much for coffee and bread.
